Setting Things Right

Hey guys! We're back with Rose as she and Marco are now princess and squire duo. How will things start out now that Marco is Rose's squire? Let's check in and find out! :D

-Rose's POV-

"Rose! Wake up!" I heard. I blinked a few times and sat up. I rubbed my eyes and realized I wasn't in my room at Mewni castle. But in a red tent in a light green sleeping bag. Then the memory of what today was came to mind and I smiled excitedly. I rushed out of the tent but fell onto the ground, forgetting I was still in my sleeping bag. "Ouch..." I muttered.

"Are you okay?" Marco asked, helping me up. I nodded and stepped out of my sleeping bag. I rolled it up and tossed it back into the tent. I grabbed a blanket near the tent and wrapped it around me since inside Quest Buy was cold.

Today was the official Squire blow-out sale. Marco and I had been planning this trip ever since Marco became my squire. Star and Tom and wanted to come along but I convinced them that it was squires and knights only, even though I wasn't technically a knight. So the two were off doing something, keeping each other company. We had decided to camp over night because of how busy the store would be if we tried to wait in line in the morning. Marco was cutting out coupons as I tapped my feet excitedly, waiting for the store to open. Just then, a voice said over the speakers, "Attention, Quest Buy shoppers, Quest Buy is proud to host Quest Buy's 10,000th annual Squire Blowout, or whatever."

"Marco, isn't this great!" I shouted, jumping up. I felt a twinge of pain and winced, saying, "A knight and her squire going shopping. Having fun, finding random things, and getting silly trinkets for one another, right?"

"I know that your in pain right now," He said, looking at me in concerned. I sat back down and rubbed my foot, easing the cramp. "I was but I'm okay," I said. I smiled and said, "And! I really want to get-"

I backwards rolled into the tent and grabbed the store catalog. I rolled back out and showed the catalog to him. The page I was on had a pineapple tree costume. I smiled and said, "I always wanted one of these. There fun and comfortable."

"Sorry, Rose, but that's not on the list. Boom!" Marco said, holding up a folded paper. He let it go and it started to unfold, rolling out far away from us. I blinked but didn't feel surprised. This would be something Marco would do. Just then, we heard, "Wow, that's so organized."

We looked over and saw three people looking at the end of Marco's list. The one holding Marco's list was a big guy, wearing a green tunic and black pants and shoes. He had on a brown jacket and a blue belt around the waist. He had on metal armor on the shoulders and wrists, and even a little metal helmet. The old man next to him was wearing a dark red squire outfit, and had a white mustache that went to his waist. The old man stroked his mustache, saying, "Yeah look, it's got coupons attached to it. I like the coupon."

"Uh, hey guys," Marco said, nervously. The third person, a girl, stood up straight. She had on a blue tunic and light blue pants and red boots. She had short red hair and light blue eyes. Her hands were bandaged up to her forearms and she wore a matching red belt and shoulder wear. She smiled at Marco and said, "Oh, hey, man. I dig your list."

"Thanks," Marco said, rolling up his list. "It's every sale item of the Squire Blowout grouped together by aisle and availability. I called ahead to check the inventory on each item."

"That's cool. A great squire is an organized squire. That's what I always say," The girl said. Marco smiled happily, saying, "A... great... squire!"

The girl smiled and gestured to herself and her friends, saying, "I'm Higgs. That's Baby Man."

"Hey," Baby Man said, smiling. She gestured to the old man, saying, "And the old guy is Old Guy."

"I'm old," Old Guy said. Marco smiled and opened his mouth to introduce himself. But I placed a hand on his shoulder, saying, "He's Marco. This is his first blowout. He's Marco."
