Hey guys! We're back with Rose as things are getting back to the craziness that is the Butterfly family. What's going to happen now? Let's jump in and find out! :D
-Rose's POV-
"Star, wait," I said, running after Star. "We have to be calm about this."
But Star didn't listen as she reached the double doors of Aunt Moon's office. She kicked down the door and screamed, "MOM!"
Aunt Moon screamed and fell out of her chair in fright. I stood next to Star and said, "Star! Stop! You-"
"Mama, we need to talk to you! I can't believe it!" Star shouted, ignoring me. She rushed into the office as Aunt Moon said, "Star, I'm in the middle of-"
But Star cut her off by shoving all of the papers and books off of her desk. She lied across it and said, "It's blowing my beautiful mind!"
Aunt Moon's eye twitched as she stood up. She walked around the desk and bent down, picking up papers. I stepped into the room and started helping Aunt Moon as she said, "Okay. I have been meaning to talk to you two as well. We need to discuss what happened at the temple."
"Right?! Isn't it bonkers that Heinous is Eclipsa's daughter?! Mina told us everything!" Star shouted. I handed Aunt Moon the rest of the papers and she stood up, looking at Star in confusion. "Mina? What are you talking about? Listen, I won't have you making up ridiculous stories to distract from the real issue here," Aunt Moon said. She looked at both of us, saying, "The little party you two threw at the Monster Temple? I told you both that it was dangerous to rush the Mewman and monster relationship. You should have checked with me first. Especially you Rose, now that your officially known as the next queen of Mewni."
I bit my lip. Ever since Stump Day, Aunt Moon made the announcement to the kingdom and various neighboring kingdoms. At first, there was a bit of confusion but the kingdoms quickly accepted the news. I was a bit surprised but relived they did. However, after the party at the temple, this news about Miss Heinous has really started to bother me. I looked at Aunt Moon and said, "Yes, we should've checked with you. But Aunt Moon, we're not lying about Mina and-"
Star cut me off by saying, "What? No, Rose, that's not what I'm talking about right now! Besides, mom, you should've checked with us before you sent Rhombulus in to storm the whole place!"
"Rhombulus? I didn't send Rhombulus," Aunt Moon said, looking more confused now. Star glared at her and said, "Lies!"
"Star, please-" I said. But Aunt Moon grew angry, saying specifically to Star, "You barge in here with ridiculous claims about Heinous, make a mess in my office, and then call me a liar? I don't have time for this!"
Aunt Moon swept her arm and a blue glow surrounded Star, picking her up and floating her across the room. Star tried to resist it, swimming against the pull. But it was no use. "What?! H-Hey! No-no-no-no! I am not finished talking about this yet! What are we gonna do about Heinous?! How could you do this to your precious baby girl?!"
"You're not a baby, so stop acting like one!" Aunt Moon shouted. Star looked at me and was about to say something but Aunt Moon slammed the door shut. I flinched at the volume and watched as Aunt Moon sat down in her office chair, muttering to herself. She pulled out a bag of corn chips and ate it, trying to calm down. I glanced around and noticed the Butterfly family tree book sitting on a stand. I went over and grabbed it. I walked back over to Aunt Moon and said, "Um, Aunt Moon?"
Aunt Moon looked up in surprise and said, "Oh! Rose! You're...still here."
I nodded, surprised that Aunt Moon didn't notice me before. "Um...I know Star was acting out a bit, but it's for good reason," I explained. "If you won't believe her, then could you trust me enough to at least try talking to Eclipsa and Rhea about this?"
