Hey guys! We're back with Rose and the gang as things get a little weird. How weird? Let's jump in and find out! :D
-Rose's POV-
I broke through the purple clouds as I flew through the sky. I sighed in content, happy to be free and to fly on my own. I flew around some clouds and flew through the air, taking in the clear air. Just then, I heard fluttering to my left. I looked and saw it was a Goblin Dog flying beside me, with little white wings of its own. I softly gasped and looked around, seeing more and more Goblin Dogs flying around me. I smiled and said, "Flying Goblin Dogs!"
I flew higher as the flock of Goblin Dogs flew with me. I looked at own and felt my stomach growl. I grabbed one from the air and ate it. Another one flew close to me and I ate another. More and more kept flying close to me, as if the flying Goblin Dogs wanted me to eat them. I gathered a bunch of them in each arm and started to eat, closing my eyes in content that I was eating so many of them. Suddenly, the taste of the Goblin Dogs changed into cotton. I opened my eyes and saw I was lying in my bed. In Mewni, in my part of the room, trying to eat my star shaped pillows. I spat them out and shook my head in disgust.
"Aw man," I muttered. "I wish that dream actually happened."
"Rose?" I heard. I looked to my left and saw Star and Marco walking up the stairs towards me. Marco held a box of cereal, saying, "It's time for breakfast! I found Captain Blanche's Sugar Seeds here on Mewni. They have an importer."
"Yeah! Come eat with us," Star said. I yawned and stretched, saying, "Thanks, but no thanks. I just had the most amazing dream where I was flying, and then there were all these Goblin Dogs that were also flying, and then I ate them."
Star and Marco walked over to my bed as I explained the dream. I suddenly belched, covering my mouth in surprise. Then I sniffed the air, realizing the smell coming from my mouth. "Ew. Smells like Goblin Dogs," I muttered. Star glanced at my bed and her eyes grew wide, "Uh Rose?"
She pointed to my bed and I looked. All over my bed were yellow napkins and wrappers. I picked one up and said, "Goblin Dog wrappers?! What are these doing on my bed?!"
"You've been sneaking out to the Goblin Dog truck without me-I mean, us?" Marco said, gesturing to Star and I. Star glanced at Marco then back at me as I said, "No, no, no! I swear, I am not—!"
I belched again and, this time, something flew pout from my mouth. I managed to catch the wad up piece of paper. I unfolded the saliva covered receipt. "Ew! A receipt? I did go to that dimension! In my sleep?" I asked, looking at Marco and Star. They both had confused looks, but Marco said, "How is that possible?"
Star shook her head, "I have no idea."
I looked down at the receipt, feeling unsure of this whole thing either. For the rest of the day, I hung out with Star and Marco, not feeling up to hanging out with Tom. I didn't need to worry him when I wasn't sure what it is exactly I'm worried about. That night, I paced in front of my bed in my pajamas. Star and Marco sat nearby on stools as I said, "Okay, Marco and Star, you guys know the plan. You stay up all night and see if whatever happened last night happens again tonight."
"I don't think I'll be able to," Star said. She yawned and said, "Today really got to me. Maybe Marco can stay up instead?"
"I just need at least one person too," I said. I glanced at Marco and asked, "Are you alright doing it?"
"I don't mind," He said. Star nodded and walked down the stairs to her own bed. Marco looked at me and said, "But then what? Shouldn't we tell somebody about this? I mean... I mean, what if-"
I pinched the bridge of my nose and said, "Marco, we can't tell anybody right now. For now, as my squire, I need you to stay there and watch me sleep. Keep an eye out for anything strange happening."
