Hey guys! We're back with Rose as she and the gang are trying to make Mewni a better place. Will things work out? Anyway! He're the new chapter! :D
-Rose's POV-
"Mewmans and monsters have just misunderstood each other for too long. Mewni should be a place of peace and unity for everyone," I said, holding the roll of parchment tightly in my hands. Marco, Star, Pony Head and myself were in Rich Pigeon's castle, trying to get all of the petitions of the princes and princesses of Mewni to help have monsters and mewmans get along. I was explaining the petition to the king and queen pigeon, along with Rich Pigeon himself. Pony Head looked up from her phone and said, "Right, yes. Like they don't, like, get peace or whatever."
I nodded and unrolled the parchment, showing the petition to Rich. "But for that to happen, we need to stop following the old ways. We need to be the change we want to see. That's why I'm hoping you'll sign this super awesome Petition of Friendship between monsters and Mewmans. Your signature is the last one we need. So... what do you say? Will you sign?"
Rich pigeon cooed and looked at his parents, who both cooed in return. Rich kept cooing and I looked at the three birds in confusion. Marco, Star and Pony Head all had the same confused expressions. Pony Head was the one who spoke, saying, "Is this the same Rich Pigeon that, like, killed it at the Silver Bell Ball?"
I laughed nervously as Star said, "I think so?"
"Does he even understand a word we're saying?" Marco asked me. I looked at him and said, "I don't know. We've never actually really talked."
I walked over to Rich as he sat on his bird stand just by his parents. I held the petition out and said, "Um, did you need some help signing it?"
When Rich didn't answer, I placed the feather pen by his bird feet. But the pen fell onto the floor in a pile of bird poop. I scrunched my face up in disgust and Marco picked up the pen. He looked at me, saying, "Come on, Rose, he's just a dumb bird. You can't expect him to envision a Utopian future."
I gave Marco a reproachful look and stepped in front of him, muttering, "Marco, shush." I laughed out loud and said to Rich, "Ignore him. How about one blink for yes, and two for no?"
Rich slowly blinked each eye, confusing me even more what he meant by it. Marco stepped past me, suggesting, "Look, just, like, grab his little foot or whatever and sign the petition for him so we can get outta here. This place is giving me the creeps."
I glanced around the throne room we were in. It was a rotunda shape, with various ledges rising up towards the dome ceiling. The entire place was covered in bird poop, soiled tapestries and rugs, and large amounts of bird seeds and feathers. Marco was right; it gave off a creepy vibe. But his method of getting the signature wasn't right. Pony Head wasn't paying attention as she said, "Yeah, Marco's right."
Everybody looked at her in surprise as even she herself looked up in shock. "Whoa, did I say that out loud?" She asked. Marco rolled his eyes and said, "You just hold the petition, and I'll grab his foot."
"Yeah, I don't know, Marco. That doesn't really sound like the right way to go," I said, worried.
"Relax. I've seen all the bird videos online. I got this," He said, trying to reassure me. Star placed a hand on my shoulder and I looked at her. She smiled and nodded. I sighed, "Fine. Just...be gentle."
Marco nodded and gently grabbed prince Rich's foot. He pulled his foot out from under him, and he turned to me. "Bird's feet feel weird," He commented, as we all heard a loud snap. Everybody's heads turned forward and saw that prince Rich's foot was bent at odd angels, and dangling over his stand. I gasped and whispered, "Marco! What did you do?! That was not gentle! Fix it, fix it, fix it now!"
