Hey guys! Anyway, here's a picture of what Rose looks like. I tried drawing her myself....but that didn't turn out well. XD So my friend Kiwi offered to draw her for me and here she is! Hope you guys like the picture and thank Kiwi for it; she's my co author in my Steven Universe Fan-Ficition. Though it doesn't show on here, she is over on Quotev. Go check out her work if your interested. Her drawings are amazing! Anyway, here's the new chapter! :D

-Rose's POV-

I was lying on my bed, writing in my journal I started keeping. I figured out that if writing in my journal helps me figure out problems, I should do it often. As I was writing, I heard Star making a mess of her room. I tried to ignore it, but it only grew louder until, finally, I slammed my pencil against my journal and yelled, "Star! could you PLEASE keep it down?!"

I heard feet running up the stairs and Star came to the top, looking worried. I looked at her, confused. "First off, why are you wearing your royal outfit?" I asked, noticing that. "Second, what's with the worried look?"

"Answer to the second question, I'm looking for my sword," she said. "To the first question, did you forget that today is Mewnipendence day?"

I moaned; I hated that holiday. That was the one day I didn't ever wanted to participate in but, since I was a princess, I had to participate.

"Do I have to be part of the celebration this year?" I moaned. "You know how much I hate it."

"ROSE!" Star said, shocked. "Mewnipendence day is important though!"

I waved my hand and picked my journal up. "Call me down when you finish explaining what the holiday is to everybody," I said, not interested. Star scoffed and marched down the stairs, still looking for her sword. I went back to writing in my journal. I've been writing everything I could since I've gotten here. So far, it's been pretty much detailed to a T. I hope someday I can go back and read it through.

I heard Star's triumphant cheers. She must've found her sword. I heard the sound of running feet and a door slamming. I heard a door opening and closing downstairs, and more and more voices. I moaned; how many people did Star invite?! I heard the bedroom door open and close and I heard feet coming up the stairs. I rolled my eyes and pulled my knees up, so that I couldn't see anything but what I was writing in my journal. "Star, I told you, I-" I started.

But then, a hand was placed on my journal and was lowered. Sitting in front of me, was Marco. I felt my face heat up and I smiled. "Well, I certainly wasn't expecting you," I said.

"Star wanted me to go get you. We already split into teams and need you for the reenactment," he said. I moaned and placed my journal on my bed. I got off my bed and followed Marco down the stairs. He seemed to notice my dislike for this, so he took my hand in his and said, "It can't be all that bad."

"You don't get it," I said, shaking my head as we walked down the hallway towards the stairs. "For the reenactment, I'm suppose to be the princess with the necklace. Meaning, I have to be with the soldiers fighting. I can fight monsters but...."

I stopped, making Marco stopped when I did. "There's a reason why it's called the Great Monster Massacre," I said. "My people just basically came and fought the monsters off, being unfair to them and not even negotiating with them."

Marco stared at me, as if he was seeing another side to me. I sighed, "I can fight monsters, but I don't do it out of fun like Star does at times. She doesn't see the other side's point of view on this. I don't like monsters, but....I just feel like that-"

Marco stepped forward and gave me a soft kiss on the cheek. I stopped in mid-sentence,my mind shutting down from just that. He stepped back and said, "I understand, Rose. That's what makes me love you so much. You care for people and try to see the good. But you also do what needs to be done, even if it means fighting." He tugged on my hand, leading me down the stairs and towards the back door. I couldn't stop blushing and my face felt so warm. But I didn't care, I was happy and smiling.
