-Rose's POV-

We both ran, me dragging Marco. I saw Star; she was talking to the Diaz's. I jumped into the pig pen, freaking Marco out. Once I made sure nobody could hear me but Marco I said, "My dad's here!"

"Your dad?!" he said, shocked. I peeked over to make sure, and there he was. "Yes! I don't know what he's doing here but if he sees me or Star, we're dead!" I felt my breath coming out faster. Marco placed a hand on my shoulder, "Breath."

I took deep breaths and once I calmed down, he said, "Look, just tell Star to tell my parent's that the fanny packs were from all of us, and then we can leave."

I nodded and we both quickly got out of the pig pen. I quickly went up to Star and explained what is going on. "But there actually enjoying our gift!' she protested, gesturing to them, as the Diaz's took pictures. "I don't want to ruin this for them!" Before I could stop her, she went up to them and started directing them towards the woods. Marco and I started making our way towards the path, but he stopped and read the sign. "Forest of Certain Death?!" he said, sounding like he was going to panic.

"don't read into it, come on!" she said, skipping ahead to catch up to Mr. and Mrs. Diaz. We started following behind, as the forest grew more and more dangerous. "I always hated these woods," I said to Marco, as we ducked under a group of baboon-faced bees. We kept going, trying to keep up. At one point, Marco threw out his arm. I stopped and saw why he did that; a giant venous flytrap was in our path. He took a couple sticks of gum from his fanny pack and threw it in the mouth. It snapped shut, and chewed the gum. We walked around it and I commented, "Smart."

We kept going, as Star and the Diaz's kept getting farther and farther away. We came into a clearing where there was a rose. "Hey rose, a Rose!" Marco said, trying to make a joke. when I didn't laugh, he said, "It was suppose to be a joke."

"i know, but just not a very funny one," I said, smiling. Just then, a monster rose from the ground, the flower rose on top of it. Marco pulled out a whistle and blew on it. The monster went back into the ground, leaving the rose as it was before, "It worked," he said sounding surprised. We kept going, making our way through the undergrowth. I ran ahead and looked around. "Okay, I think they went this way but-" I said, turning to face Marco. But he wasn't there.

"Marco?" I called, feeling worried. I started running through the forest calling for him. "Marco! MARCO!" But no response. I came to a fallen log, and I felt on the verge of tears. What if he got hurt? What if he was eaten? What if-

But before that thought could process I heard footsteps behind me, and a voice saying, "Nothin' makes you feel more like a man than goin' to the bathroom in the woods."

I turned around and saw Marco, and marched up to him. "Hey Ro-" he started, but I punched him in the shoulder. "Ow! what the heck was that for?!"

"Don't you dare ever go wondering off with out letting me know!" I shouted, pointing a finger at him. "You scared me to death! I thought you were eaten by-"

But suddenly, something grabbed me by the shoulder and pulled me back hard. I instinctively reached out and grabbed Marco's hoodie, pulling him with me. We both fell and when we landed, Marco was on top of me. Both our faces went really red, and Marco quickly got off. We both looked and it was my sister. "Star!" I yelled, but she hissed at me to be quiet. "Star," I whispered, "What the heck was that for?!"

"It's dad!" she whispered, sounding a bit panicked. I looked over the log; Star was right, dad was right there. I lowered my head, and looked at Star, "We need to go, now!" I whispered putting the emphasis on 'now'. Marco nodded, agreeing that we needed to leave. "okay," sighed Star, "We'll just grab your parents and get out of here." We crawled away from the log, and, once we were a safe distance away, we got up and followed star. "Okay Mr. and Mrs. Diaz, that concludes our tour. Hope you enjoyed your-" but she stopped short. We all did.
