Hey guys! So we get to a fun chapter. I like this one because just the idea of different styles of Rose Butterfly makes me bounce off the walls with creativity. Anyway, let's get into this chapter! :D

-Rose's POV-

"Math... is a symphony... of numbers," Miss Skullnick said, looking out at the entire classroom. Everybody but Marco looked excited for this math class. As soon as she turned around to face the chalk board, I put my head down and tried to sleep. I glanced at Star on my left and saw she was already passed out on her desk. "It's the poetry of logic. The magic behind nature. The beauty of seashells," she dully said, writing on the chalkboard.

"Hey Rose," I heard on my right. I groaned and rolled my head to the side and saw that Janna had a smirk on her face. I sighed and muttered, "What, Janna?"

"Why did the chicken cross the road?" She asked. I rolled my eyes and muttered, "Why?"

"To get to the other side," Janna said. I lifted my head a little processing the joke. I then started to giggling at the joke. "Okay, that was pretty funny," I whispered.

"Is there something funny, Rose?" Miss Skullnick said, arms crossed and eyebrow raised. I looked at her and swallowed. I'm in trouble. "N-Nothing really," I said, laughing nervously.

"Oh? Well then, since it was nothing, why don't you come up front and solve for 'c'?" Miss Skullnick said, offering me the chalk piece. The entire class, except Star and I, oohed at Miss Skullnick's question. I sighed and got up, walking to the front of the classroom. I took the chalk piece and stared at the chalkboard. I smirked and decided to draw a cat with the letter 'c'. I stepped back and said, "Ta-Da!"

"What?" Miss Skullnick said, looking at the board puzzled. "'C' equals the circumference! You can't just do a cat face!"

"But doesn't it look cute?" I asked, smiling nervously. I started to inch my way back to my desk and said, "So...can I go back to my seat?"

"No one is going anywhere until you come up here and solve this math problem," Miss Skullnick said, glaring at me and holding out the chalk piece to me. I sighed and walked back up to her, taking the piece from her. I looked at the board, feeling a sense of unease as I realized how much more complicated this problem really was. "Rose? What's wrong?" I heard Marco whisper behind me.

"Uh," I said, feeling panic starting to rise. I quickly wrote on the board and moved away so Marco could see. It said, 'Help me, Marco.'

Marco blinked and quickly hid his face behind his math book. I groaned and said, "I didn't want to use magic, but I guess I got no choice." I turned around and zapped the board with a boot of lightening. Suddenly, everything around me shook and, when I blinked, I was back at my desk, head lying on the side and Miss Skullnick droning about math like before. I lifted my head in confusion and heard Janna say on my right, "Why did the chicken cross the road?"

"What?" I asked, looking at her confused. I then noticed that, unlike her normal hat, she was wearing a blue Winter hat. Janna snicker and said, "To ask out the rooster."

I blinked in confusion and asked, "Didn't we just do this?" Janna's smirk disappeared and she furrowed her brow in confusion. "What?" she asked, confused.

"Uh, that joke. You just told me it a minute ago. But it was a little different," I explained, feeling like this may be a joke in of itself. Janna now looked offended and said, "What are you talking about?"

"And where did you get that hat?" I asked, pointing to the winter cap. Just then, both of us heard Miss Skullnick ask, "Is there something you want to tell us?"

I turned to her and said, "Yes there is. Didn't we all just do this before? What's going on?" Marco turned to me and whispered, "Hey, stop messing around. I need to know this for tomorrow's exam."
