Hey guys! We're quickly approaching the season finale for this story! But first, the gang has to get back to Mewni. How will they do this? Let's jump in and find out! :D

-Rose's POV-

I opened my eyes and found myself in a dark empty space. I blinked a few times, confused. Wasn't I just awake? When did I fall asleep?

I sighed, annoyed. I had been trying to figure out all night how to get back to Mewni, but I must've fallen asleep at some point while figuring things out. I tried to sit up but instantly felt myself sink slightly. I looked down, realizing the entire dark space was filled with water. Despite it being dark, the water glowed a blueish light allowing me to see into it. The water seemed to go on and on not just in depth, but when I looked up, all around me as well. I muttered, "I'm back here again?"

Just then, I felt something brush past my feet. I looked down, startled. However, there was nothing by my feet. I felt something touching back and spun around, only to see the water slightly move. Paranoia started to sink in and I shouted, "Who's there?! Show yourself!"

I got my answer when I noticed the waters to my right start to ripple. In shock, I watched as the water started to rise up and start to take shape into a humanoid figure. Before I could react, the figure lunged at me, tackling me into the water. I tried to hold my breath but pressure suddenly rose around my throat, squeezing any air out of me. I gasped, large bubbles erupting from my mouth as they briefly showed the head of the humanoid. It's mouth opened and it blew a large bubble at me. The bubble hit my face and, upon contact, it popped. I shut my eyes as I felt millions of tiny bubbles hitting my face. But from that pop, I heard a voice say: "Don't you remember?"

My opened my eyes, surprised to hear something at all. But instead of seeing the water humanoid or any water for that matter, I found myself lying on my bed. I immediately take a shaky breath, relieved to have air in my lungs again. I felt something heavy on my chest and glanced down, seeing my journal. I sighed; right, I did fall asleep while thinking. I slowly sat up in my bed and glanced at balcony, noticing how high in the sky the sun was. I scratched my head, trying to figure out what time it is. That was when I noticed the star shaped sticky note on my journal. I picked it up and read the writing.

It read:

'Hey Rose! Letting you know that Tom, Marco and I are heading to Janna's. I think she knows how to get to Mewni without a portal. Come meet us when you wake up!'

My eyes widen as I search my bed for my mirror phone. When I find it, I open it and see the time. I jump out of bed, nearly tripping on slips of paper. I stumble to the staircase, grabbing my shoes as I went. "Dang it, Star, wake me up next time," I grumbled. I put my shoes on and ran out of the room, heading for the staircase. I slid down the railing, thankfully not getting in trouble as Mr. and Mrs. Diaz were with Mariposa in the kitchen. I hurried out the front door, making sure it closed behind me. Immediately I summoned Cloudy and jumped onto his back. Before he could say hello, I said, "To Janna's Cloudy, quick!"

"Okay!" Cloudy said, taking to the air. He paused briefly and asked, "Where's Janna's?"

I sighed, "Just go where Star is. You can sense her magic right?"

"Uh-huh!" Cloudy said confidently. Cloudy took to the air and flew for a while, hopefully leading me to where Star and the others were. By the time Cloudy had reached Janna's house, Janna was approaching the front door. Cloudy landed just behind Janna, who turned to acknowledge me as I jumped off Cloudy. Cloudy vanished and asked, "Rose? What are you doing here?"

"Star, Marco and Tom said they were coming here to see you," I said. Janna furrowed her brow before looking at the front door. She sighed, "I bet my parents are interrogating them right now. Hang on; I'll let you in."
