Hey guys! So the winner of the Mewberty contest is (drum roll)....."V A N E S S A"! This drawing caught my eye when she sent it in. I love the color for Rose; green is her favorite after all. And the design of how she's more plant and vine then bug. Overall, this was an amazing picture that got first place! Thank you so much V A N E S S A for entering! Go check her out on Quotev and I'll still be posting art pieces people submitted for the contest. Anyway, here's the long awaited second part of the chapter! :D
-Marco's POV-
Star and I ran through the hallway, until we found Janna. She was standing near her locker with Hope, and two other girls. She just pulled Star's book of spells out of a bag when we arrived. I was in no mood for Janna today, so I went straight to the point. "Gimme that!" I said, stepping around Janna and towards Star's book. Star grabbed the book and started flipping through the pages.
"Let's get out of here!" said Hope, who ran off with the two other girls behind her.
"I've been looking all over for this!" I said, trying to get Janna to go away.
"Well," she said, slinging her arm over my shoulders, "Since you found your little book, let's make some magic with it."
I rolled my eyes, "I don't need your help, Janna! Thank you." With that, I slipped from Janna and sat next to Star, as she kept flipping through the pages. Janna scoffed, "Whatever. You'll need me soon enough, Marco, cause I have your house keys!" She held up my house keys and ran off. I scowled; I can jut get Rose to us her find spell to get my keys back.
If she ever turns back to normal....
I shook me head; now's not the time to have doubts. "Gotta stay focused," I said, as I helped Star.
"Mewberty, Mewberty, Mewberty," said Star, as she flipped the pages,
"This doesn't make any sense!" I said, as she started flipping the pages faster, "Isn't there a glossary in this thing?"
Just then, the pages flew faster then Star was turning them. They suddenly stopped on one page with a little person inside. He was a little blue guys, with yellow robes and a white beard and eyebrows. His eyes were shaped like diamonds and were pink, which matched the pink gem on his forehead. He had a long nose and pointy ears, and just one look at him told me he was going to be difficult to talk with.
"Did somebody say Glossaryck?" he said, looking at Star and I. Star gasped, "Glossaryck! I forgot you were in there!"
"What?" I said, not following.
"'Cause that's me," he said, "Sir Glossaryck. Of terms. At your service, princess Star and milady."
"I'm not a lady," I said, as Star was saying hi. He looked at me and said, "Could've fooled me. Goodbye!" He then grabbed the edge of the page and pulled the whole book close. Star and I lunged at the book, trying to keep it open.
"Wait!" Star said, "Glossaryck!"
"Sorry!" we heard Glossaryck say, "Magical princesses only! And he's not one!"
"But this is important!" I yelled, "We need to find a way to help Rose!"
Glossaryck laughed and opened up again. He floated up and said, "Ah, Rose Butterfly. Seems like she's visiting me more and more often as she learns about that necklace. That's why she's my favorite. What's wrong with her?"
"She's got this thing called Mewberty," I said, Star nodding in agreement.
"I usually don't make exceptions, but I'm sure we can work something out," he said. He looked at us and said, "Pudding."
