Hey guys! I'm so excited for this chapter! Anyway, here's the Song Day chapter! :D

-Rose's POV-

My eye twitched as mom's Queen song finished and she clapped. Star groaned and I covered my face with my hands, cringing at what I just heard. Our mom had called Star and I today to let us know that Song day was coming up. Something that Star and I both dreaded for a long time. Star looked at mom and said, "Ugghh! Mom! Worst. Song. Ever. Do I have to have one of those written about us?"

"Yes, Star. It's a tradition as old as the kingdom itself. And it's your official introduction as future queen to the people of Mewni," Mom said, turning to Star and I.

"But Star's the one becoming Queen; not me," I objected.

"Just because she's becoming Queen, doesn't mean you won't be considered one either. You are the Wander's Keeper, and you do have as much power as Star has. So technically, you will be a future queen too, Rose," Mom explained. I hugged in annoyance and looked away. Star didn't back down though.

"That song didn't say anything about the real you. You could plug any name into that song, and it wouldn't make a lick of difference. How about... Buttercup! Sparkle! Snowflake! They all happen to love puppies and smell like lavender? Wow," She said, waving her hands with fake excitement.

Mom sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I don't have time for this, Star. Preparations for your Song Day celebration are already underway, and the new official songstrel of Mewni is heading to Earth to write your song as we speak."

Star groaned and said, "Fine."

"And remember, girls, the people of Mewni like their Princess Songs light and fluffy. Can you handle that?" Moon asked, looking between Star and I. I nodded and Star said, "Yes mom."

She ended the call and closed the curtain. She turned to me and smiled, "Oh, we can handle it – by avoiding this problem until it goes away."

"Star, for once, I think we need to stay and get this over with," I said, standing up. "The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can get this whole ordeal over with."

"Says the girl who avoids telling Marco the truth," Star said, raising an eyebrow. I winced, taking a step back. I shook my head, "That's different from what we're talking about now. Don't try to change it."

"Then stop trying to avoid it," Star said, getting annoyed. "When are you going to tell him the truth? Can't you see your hurting because your hiding it?"

I opened my mouth to object but the doorbell to the front door rang. I looked at Star and shook my head. "Look, Star, it's better this way. Can we just drop it and get this song day thing over with?"

Star sighed and said, "Fine." I smiled and went downstairs. I opened the front door and I blinked in surprise at the Mewman minstrel. The minstrel had light skin, green eyes and short orange hair that covered his right eye. He was wearing a powder blue shirt, frilly bluish-gray shorts, bluish-gray boots, a dark grayish-blue hat with a light blue feather on top, and a purple scarf. He also had a very thin mustache, and a short, pointed goatee. He looked young to be the minstrel.

He smiled and said, "Greetings, princess Rose! I am Ruberiot."

He then started to play on his lute and I cringe as he sang, "And may I just say, Though we have much to do, How much of a pleasure it is to meet you, I'll write you a—"

I put my hand up to stop him and said, "I-It's okay, Ruberiot. You don't have to sing. Come on in." I moved out of the way so Ruberiot could come in. He sat down on the couch next to Marco, who was watching TV. Star came down the stairs and stopped when she saw Ruberiot. He smiled at her and said, "Perfect! Both princesses are here! Now this should be quick. I just want to get to know the real princess Star and Rose."
