Hey guys! So, we've finally come to the end of season two. Anyway, let's get on with this final season two chapter of a story! :D
-Rose's POV-
"Rose, come on!" Star said, pulling the blanket off my head. "You have to come to the party!"
I pressed my face into my pillow, unable to bear the idea of going downstairs to see everybody. Mr. and Mrs. Diaz thought it would be a great idea to throw an end-of-the-school year party. A majority of the school was downstairs, including a certain boy who now knows of my returned memories and feelings for him. Along with his girlfriend. My face grew warm again with embarrassment and hot tears rolled off my cheeks and onto the pillow. The memory of what happened during Song Day has been replaying over and over again ever since. Ever since that night, I've been avoiding Marco as much as I could. And it seems Marco has been the same way. Star has been trying to get me to go talk to him, but I wouldn't budge. It seems like now she's at her limit.
"Star," I said through my pillow. "How many times do I have to tell you? I'm not going downstairs."
"And I'm saying you have too!" Star said, sounding annoyed. "You've been avoiding Marco for far too long. You need to try and talk to him. And he needs to talk to you."
I felt something hit me and, suddenly, I was floating up and off the bed. "Star!" I shouted, struggling to move. "Put me down!"
"Not until we get out of this room and downstairs," Star said, holding up her wand. She turned away from my bed and started down the stairs, pulling me with her. I kept struggling against her spell, but it was no use. Star carried me down the stairs and out of our room. She didn't put me down until we were at the top of the stairs to the living room. She placed me on the ground and removed the spell around me. I got up and started back to my room, but Star grabbed my wrist and pulled me down the stairs. I started to panic and whispered, "Star, please no."
"Nope, you guys are going to talk and your not getting out of it," Star said, a determined look on her face. I whimpered and glanced up, seeing Star was heading straight to Marco and Jackie. My eyes met Marco's and we just stared at each other, both of our faces blank. Star grinned at the two and said, "Hello, friends!"
Jackie smiled at her and me, saying, "What's up, guys? You having fun?"
"Oh, yeah. Totally," I muttered, looking at Jackie. Star let go of my hand and said to Jackie, "I just realized, I'm hungry. Could you come with me Jackie to go get food?"
"Sure!" Jackie said. I looked at Star with a panicked look, but she and Jackie went to the kitchen to go get food. I looked back and saw that Marco was looking at me. I coughed awkwardly and said, "How are you doing?"
"I'm....okay," He said, unsure of how to answer. He looked around and said, "Your hair looks nice."
"Thanks. I...brushed it," I said, rubbing my arm. We both laughed nervously and an awkward silence fell between us. I felt my hands grow sweaty and I scratched my head, trying to look anywhere else but Marco. I wiped my hands on my dress and said, "Well, great catching up!"
"Yeah, see you around," He said, lightly punching my arm. He lifted his hand, curling it into a fist for a fist bump. I held my hand up and placed it on his. I looked at Marco nervously and laughed, saying, "I-It's a turkey. See? Because your fist is the body and my hand is...the tail...feathers."
Marco nodded, and awkward silence fell again. I quickly pulled my hand away and said, "Bye!" I ran away from him and towards the stairs. I raced past Sta,r who watched me go up the stairs. I ran to my room and slammed the door shut. I slid down to the floor and groaned, covering my face with my hands. "I'm such an idiot," I muttered. "A turkey?! What the heck was I thinking?!"
