Hey guys! Here we with chapter two already! Hope you enjoy it! Anyway, here's the next chapter! :D
-Rose's POV-
"NOOOO!" I heard my sister scream from down in the court yard. I quickly closed the trunk for my possessions, and made my way to the window. I saw my sister begging my parents, on the verge of crying. I was a little worried; ever since what happened with Star, my parents have been talking and decided to send not only my sister, but ME, away. I didn't do anything! and yet, I had to go. I grabbed my trunk and said, "Gravity turn off switch!"
A dial appeared in front of me, and I switched it too "off". The trunk started to float and I guided it down the stairs to the court yard. Once I was near the carriage, I summoned the spell again, and moved the switch to "On". The trunk landed on top of my sisters stuff, just as I heard my sister scream, "Please! Don't send me to St. Olga's School for wayward princesses!" I nearly fainted right there and then. If there was one thing my sister and I feared the most, it was St. O's. I ran around and saw my sister, clinging to my mother's dress, screaming.
"Dad," I said, "Your seriously aren't thinking about send us to there, are you?"
"Sweethearts," he said, "Were not sending you there."
I sighed, relieved. Star stopped screaming and stood up, smiling. "Oh!" How she can change her reaction from screaming to being happy, I'll never know.
"...yet," my mother said. I looked at my mom in shock. Would she really do that?! "Were sending you two into a safer dimension to train, called earth." I gasped; I've read about it. It was one of those dimensions where there was no magic whatsoever. I'm so excited! I squealed and hugged my parents while my sister looked at them confused, "Earth?"
"Star! Isn't this great? This is the ultimate adventure!" I screamed, still freaking out. She looked at me weirdly, "Why would you want to go there? Isn't Mewni great?"
"Well, yeah but-"
"Then why would you want to leave your home?!"
I heistated. Truth be told, I always felt different amount everybody here. I always read because I love the many tales of other dimensions and the amazing things that go on there. I never really found Mewni all that exciting because I'm so used to it. And also, I don't really belong. Maybe I can fit in on earth. "Well," I said, "I want a change in pace."
Star sighed angrily, and stomped towards the carriage, and slammed the door when she got in. "Don't be too hard on your sister," my father said. I turned to him, but he wasn't finished, "She just isn't ready to leave like you are."
"I just...it's been hard. Trying to fit in here, make friends. Maybe I will make some friends on earth!"
"Well," my mother said, smiling a little, "Just be there for your sister when she needs it. It take sometime for her to get used too." I nodded, and we all piled into the carriage. I sat next to my sister and my dad told Manfred, one of the helpers, to open the portal. He took out some scissors, and cut a hole into the the space in front of us. The carriage started to move. My sister sighed and leaned out of the carriage, taking one last look at Mewni. "Goodbye Mewni..." she said, sadly. I put my hand on her shoulder to cheer her up. "Hey, we'll be back before you know it," I said, not really meaning it, but trying. She nodded, but didn't look convinced. I looked out my window just in time to see a monster hiding in the bushes. I sat up, but before I could take a closer look, we went through the portal.
-Time Skip!-
I stood with my parents, in what was called on earth the Principle's office. In front of you, sat man that looked almost like a penguin. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and wore square shaped glasses. He wore a gray purple suit with a magenta bow tie. He looked at my parents with a look I couldn't quite understand.
"So you say your from another dimension," he said, looking at my parents with skepticism. The lights above us started to go on and off, and I turned to see my sister, messing with the little lever in the wall called a switch. "And you guys said there was no magic on earth," she said, like she was the smart one. She was wearing a minty green dress with a little pink octopus on it. She wore pink and orange striped tights with boots that looked like little monsters. She also wore a yellow star purse and a red headband that had horns on it.
I did a face palm. I was wearing something more along the lines of my style. I wore a red dress with a yellow cardigan over it. I wore red rain boots and yellow striped socks. I had on a black headbands and had a heart shaped purse similar to Star's star purse. To be honest, I liked earth's clothes way better then the Mewni dresses I had to wear. On top of that, I don't need to match my sister. The man looked at my parents, "Yeah...it'll work for her," at this he pointed at me, "But it's not going to work for her," he said, pointing at Star. I kind of figured this would happen. I noticed the name on his desk; it said Principle Skeeves.
What kind of a name is that?
My father open a chest that was filled with golden coins and gems. I swear, Skeeve's eyes seemed to look like dollar signs and I thought I heard a noise of something called a cash register opening. Sleeves threw his arms in the air and said, "They are going to love it here!" Just as he said that, Star turned the lights off. I walked over to her and took her hand away from the switch. "Hey!" she said, as I turned on the lights. "Leave it Star," I said. She pouted and said, "Your no fun."
"They're going to need a guide," my father said, looking from us to Skeeves. "SHE is going to need a guide," I corrected, pointing at Star with my thumb. Sleeves looked between us and smiled, "I know the person."
-Time Skip!-
I was standing outside, looking all around. This place was a lot better then I thought! We had said good-bye to our parents. I found out a little of this place; this place was called a high school. But the official name is Echo Creek High School. I don't know why, but I'm sure I'll found out later. I was standing with Star, who seemed more interested at the magic water machine next to me. I opened my book I always keep with me and found out that the machine is called a water fountain. I closed the book, and walked over to Star. "Hey Star? Do you want to know something? This thing is called a water fountain," I said, trying to get her excited.
But she wasn't paying attention to me, but more to the button on the side of it that she found. Just then, I heard footsteps and I turned to see Skeeves walking with a boy around our age towards us. They stand in front of us, "Marco, I want you to meet our newest foreign exchange students- Rose and Star Butterfly!" he said, gesturing to us, while holding his money chest.
Marco noticed Star, who was currently growling at the water fountain. He looks at me, and I smile. He was about the same height as us, maybe a bit taller. He has dark hair and eyes, and had a bit of a dark tan. He wore a red hoodie along with gray pants and black shoes. If anything, he looked to me what my book calls a teenager.
"Huh?" he said, looking between me, Star, and Skeeves. I cleared my throat, "It's nice to meet you Marco," I said, extending my hand out, hoping I was doing a proper handshake. He took it and shook my hand. But when he did, I felt something course through me. Like a spark of electricity. He looked to Skeeves for an explanation, while I was staring at my hand, wondering what the heck was that. "I need a responsible, never-take-chances type to keep an eye on them, and who better than you, the safe kid?"
"What?! No-no-no-no!" he said, trying to explain himself, "I am completely wrong for this, I'm a misunderstood bad boy!" I opened my book, trying to find out what a 'Bad Boy' was. There was nothing like that in my book, but from what it sounds like, nothing good. Skeeves pinched Marco's cheek, "Your adorable! Now I'm off to the ice cream shop. Daddy's getting all fifty-two flavors!" and with that, Skeeves walked away from us. Marco looked at us; Me, trying to act normal, while my sister was trying to bite off a chunk of metal from the water fountain.
"So I'm assuming your Rose?" he asked. I nodded, "And that's my sister, Star. I'm sorry about her; she's still getting used to everything here," I said, pulling her away from the water fountain. I laughed nervously, trying to keep cool. But for some reason, I couldn't with Marco looking at me. He shrugged his shoulders, "Well, follow me. I'll show you guys around the school." He started to lead the way, with Star following behind him skipping, and me trying to catch up.
What the heck is wrong with me?!
...
Ta-da! Wonder what happened to Rose there. Anyway, I hope you guys liked this chapter, and I'll update ASAP. :)
