Hey guys! We're back with the gang as things start getting intense in the battle for Monster Temple. Let's jump in and see how everyone is doing! :D
-Rose's POV-
"Archibald, close the gate!" Eclipsa shouted.
Eclipsa, Marco, Janna and I ran into the top entrance of the temple. It wasn't the front door but it definitely was a more secure entrance. Archibald, the bat monster, said, "Yes, milday!"
Once everyone was in, Archibald pulled a level to close the gate. Though the gate was closed, due to it's shape and design, small parts of the monster temple's head allowed visibility to outside. Eclipsa rushed ahead and asked, "Where's Meteora?!"
"Where's Star?" I asked someone close by. The monster pointed to the hallway entrance, "Lady Rhea took her to the medical wing. Sh-She should be getting treated now."
I nodded, slightly relieved she was getting help. From outside, we all heard "Hellllooooooo!"
I growled and ran to a small window of the front gate. Outside, Mina was using the metal ponytails of her armor to help her float in place. She had her armor's visor opened and she had gone super strong Mina. She said to me, "Guess what? You're out of options princess!"
"Mina!" I started. But Mina stopped me by placing on the front gate a cockerel. The weird chicken looking bird walked around as Mina said, "I'm givin' you 'til the crow of this cockerel to surrender Eclipsa and her husband."
She pointed at me and added, "And don't even think about trying any more of that magic blasty funny business like you did to Doug-Doug! We'll make sure to cut you down like we did with your sister!"
As Mina flew off, my anger boiled over. I screamed, "Mina! Get back here and fight! I'm gonna knock the cheese right off your cracker, you... you no-good helicopter head!"
I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw Eclipsa behind me. She had found Meteora and was holding her using a baby strap. She said to me, "Rose, I appreciate your fighting spirit, but I don't know if I have the energy to do that spell again."
"Yeah, no, you are not doing that spell again," I snapped. "That thing was insane! I mean, kudos on taking out that Solarian Warrior, but you decimated everything around it."
I looked back out the window and saw the path of destruction Eclipsa's spell did. Again, had she not done it, Star and I would've been goners. But...that level of destruction wasn't good for anyone or anything. I turned back around as Marco approached us, asking, "So is that rooster gonna crow at sunrise or something?"
"What? No. It's a dumb bird, Marco," I explained. "It crows whenever it wants. And when it does, we'll have to be ready for Mina."
A heavy silence fell on everyone. That is, until Meteora started saying, "Beh! Beh!"
She tossed her arms up and dropped her teddy bear. Eclipsa picked it up, "Here, sweetie. Here's your Beh." But Meteora pushed it away and looked out the gate's window. "Beh!"
Eclipsa and I looked and saw a large shadow of a bird in the sky. Suddenly, it nose dived down and headed right towards us. Eclipsa and I jumped out of the way as the bird flew in. Or more rather, an eagle. On it's back, Moon and River jumped down. Moon landed her jump and River fell on his face. "Rose?" Moon asked.
I felt tears in my eyes and I ran towards her. "Mom!" I hugged her tightly and she hugged me back. I quickly realized what I said and pushed away, "Uh, I-I mean, you're aunt Moon but you-"
Moon pulled me back into a hug. "I know. And it's okay, Rose," She said. I blinked but couldn't hold the tears in. I let them fall as I hugged Moon back. After a moment, we broke the hug and I wiped my eyes. I said, "I-I can't believe you came! I'm happy you did though! It means a lot. Did you see the warriors? Those soldiers are everywhere! We defeated one of them, but it took everything we had!"
