Hey guys! WE're back with Rose as things get a little weird per usual. Anyway, here's the newest chapter! :D
-Rose's POV-
"Star!" I shouted from the balcony. "If I can hear you over the pouring rain, then that means your being too loud!"
"Got it!" Star shouted, as she kept trying to blast the flying tennis ball in her room. I sighed and focused on that water spell I saw once in the spell book. One section of the book was written by Stella the gentle, and even bough it was mostly medical spells, there had been a few other types of spells. One of which was a water manipulation spell. And, since it raining outside, it was now a good time to try out the spell.
The spell, from what I saw, required no words but only motions. I did my best to copy the motions from memory, but I either forgot a step or did one improperly. I moved my arms in sync and felt the magic building up. I almost had it when I heard, "Hey Rose?"
I jumped and fell over in a puddle of water. Now completely drenched, I sighed and grumbled in annoyance. Somebody grabbed my arm and helped me up. I looked up to see Marco holding my arm, helping me up. "Hey Marco, what's up?" I said, trying to shake off as much water as I could.
"Sorry to bother you but could I borrow the dimensional scissors? I don't want to walk to the park in this rain," He asked. I nodded and walked back inside and went over to my bed. I pulled out the dimensional scissors from under my pillow and handed them to Marco. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why were they there?"
"Let's just say sometimes if Star becomes to much, I need a little bit of an escape," I commented. Marco chuckled and said, "Well, good luck with your spell casting."
I nodded and went back outside in the rain. I sighed and did the motions again, readying to do the spell again. This time, when I shot my hands out, a few drops of rain halted in mid-fall. I gasped in delight but lost my concentration. The water fell again and I yelled in frustration. "Come on," I mumbled. "Focus on something."
I stood still in the rain and closed my eyes this time. My mind focused on the rainwater at first and the sound of it. But as I started doing the motions for it, my mind started to wander. Instead of trying to keep it on track, I allowed it to wander. My thoughts drifted between the rain to music. From music to dancing. From dancing to Marco. From Marco to the blood moon ball. I smiled at the memory of that night. It seemed all too perfect to be real.
I opened my eyes and realized my motions had turned into dancing. And I wasn't just moving a drop or two of rain anymore, but a whole area of rain water. I smiled and kept dancing, allowing the water to grow bigger and bigger until the water surrounded me like a bubble. Memories of Marco and I flooded and swirled around in the water, making me smile and dance to the imaginary music in my head. I never felt happier.
'Your not together anymore,' that one thought said.
I froze and stopped in mid-step. The water around me lost form and splashed down on me, drenching me in cold water. As the water rolled off the balcony, I fell to my knees letting the truth of that one thought sink in. Marco and I weren't together anymore; he was with Jackie. I sighed and slowly stood up, my arms feeling sore from all of the movement. I had to move on; I had to let go. But...it was easier said then done.
I walked into my room and dried myself off, since I hadn't learned the warmth spell from Keeper Rhea's section of the spell book. I grabbed the notebook and wrote down the spell for the water manipulation spell. I put in parentheses, 'Think happy thoughts.'
I put the notebook away and saw how Star was still struggling to hit the tennis ball with a single beam. I shook my head and walked down the stairs to help her. But I stopped when I saw a person and his dog over by the couch, the dog about to do it's business on the couch. "Whoa, whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa! Rainbow Diaper Blast!" I shouted, pointing a finger at the dog. A beam of magic hit the dog and a diaper appeared on the dog.
