"Next in the doctrine is the case of Castellan and Chase-Castellan."

"Come, we have to go in." Percy tried to lead Luke in.

"I don't get it, man." Luke said, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"What don't you get?" Percy asked, fixing his tie in the reflection of one of the statues outside the mediation room.

"How can she do this to me! I gave her everything, everything she could have asked for, and you sleep with one girl outside your marriage and suddenly it's a one-way ticket to divorce!"

"I know, man, it sucks, but you'll get over her. You always get over them." Percy brushed dandruff off of Luke's shoulder.

"And this is the first time I have my guy by my side." Luke nudged Percy not in a non-gay way.

"Yeah, whatever, man, let's go save your money— so you can give it to me."

Percy pulled the straps of his suspenders forward as he walked in and sat down.

Immediately, it was hard to keep his eyes off of her. She was inherently ethereal. Her aura, her essence, her. She was the epitome of perfection, and Luke never deserved her. Percy knew that when he lost her to him and he knew it more-so now that Luke destroyed her heart.

"Mr. Jackson." Piper McLean, Annabeth's lawyer and long time friend of both Percy and Annabeth addressed him.

"Miss McClean."

"Let's skip the pleasantries and get right into it, yes?"

"I—"

"Great." Piper smiled. "My client is asking for fifty thousand in reparations—"

"Objection, that is just over half of all my money!" Luke slammed his fist on the table.

"Dude, we're in mediation, not court." Percy tried to subtly whisper to Luke.

"What was that Mr. Jackson?"

"Nothing, Miss McClean, I was merely explaining to my client that there was no need for court jargon in a mediation." Percy smiled his troublemaker smile. "Please, continue." Percy straightened his tie once more while trying to subtly take a look at the pattern on Annabeth's pantsuit. Had he bought her that one?

"Let the record show that the plaintiff is nothing if not an evil conniving bitch." Luke said, leaning forward towards a mic that wasn't there.

"Mr. Castellan, there is no need to say such heinous things, let alone for the record, please, Miss Dare, scratch that from the record." Piper said, smiling sweetly.

"I agree, Miss McClean, now, if there can be no more interruptions, we haven't even finished hearing Miss Chase's claim." Percy winked at Annabeth who seemingly tried to hide her blush.

When their time in the mediation room ended, having not come to a mutual agreement, Percy caught up to Annabeth by her car.

"Beth, wait." Percy said, fixing his hair and dropping his briefcase for her hips.

"Perc—" his lips were on hers, and Percy knew he won. "Percy, I'm not divorced—yet." She held his face, trying to talk to him.

"I know, but it's like we're back in college, I can't keep my hands off of you. You're perfect." Percy kissed her neck.

"You could lose your license if anyone saw us."

"You're worth it, babe. This brain, this face, these hips, these legs—" Percy cut himself off when he kissed her.

"You're adorable, but you can't lose your license." She futzed with his hair, and left a lingering hand on his jaw.
