Gellert Grindelwald 8 part 3.

A/n this is the final part to this story,also shout out to TheAmazingDemonQueen who found the reference but I didn't see it until today.

As time goes on my relationship with prince Gellert is changing and for the better. We spend more time together than we did before-sure we have been caught together a few times by mother or Dumbledore but we don't care and neither does gran.Gran knows how hard it is to be queen,so she wants someone by my side that will treat me right and help me make the right choices as queen.Mother however doesn't see it that way,because she believes she will be queen and if she has a husband of her choice beside me-she will run my life.

I have tried numerous things to get Dumbledore to leave and give me up but so far he hasn't.He seems more determined than ever to marry me,but I don't see him that way. I despise his very being.I know things have changed with Gellert courting me,but I didn't know it fully until gran noticed a change in me.I have received a letter from Gellert saying he would he out of town for the weekend,but will return to me on Monday and promised to think of me constantly. And that Midnight isn't happy that he can't see me.

"Those boys" I sigh happily as I walk
"Your certainly in a good mood,Y/n" my gran says coming down the stairs
"Hmm,oh yes I just had a letter is all" I say,not fully withit as my mind is full of my handsome prince.Gran comes over to me and looks at me
"You seem different" she says.

"Just happy gran" I say
"I know that look dear" Gran smirks
"What look?" I ask curious
"It is the look of love,you are in love" gran smiles at me
"How can you tell?"

"Because I had the same look when I thought of your grandfather" she tells me,I never met the king as he died when I was a baby. "Tall,strapping bear of a man he was,but so gentle and kind" Gran smiles at the memory "Handsome too,though not as handsome as your Gellert"
"He is very handsome isn't he" I say,thinking of Gellert's handsome face-with his strong jaw line,sharp cheek bones that look like they could cut you and his beautiful mis matched eyes
"Have you told him yet?" Gran asks
"No not yet,he is out of town for the weekend" I say.

"Do you think it is to early to plan the wedding?" Gran asks
"Gran!" I say shocked"Gellert hasn't proposed "
"Oh but he will,I no it" Gran tells me
"I hope so,mother is going on about that Dumbledore will ask for my hand soon" I sigh
"He can ask and you can decline,I said the choice is yours not your mothers" gran reminds me
"Tell her that then" I say
"I will dear,I will."

Time skip to Monday.

The weekend soon came and left and now it is Monday and I can't wait to see Gellert again.Although I have a feeling that Dumbledore is going to propose to me,as mother is more happy than normal.I'm heading down a corridor to get away from everyone, when unfortunately I had to come across bloody Dumbledore. I don't know why he doesn't just leave me alone.

"Y/n just the Lady I am looking for" Dumbledore says,standing in my way
"What do you want now?" I ask
"I have a question for you?" Dumbledore says
"Oh god no,he isn't?"I think
"Y/n,I want to you marry me?"

Gellert's P.O.V

I head down to see the queen after returning to town after being away for two days. I had to take care of business, but it made me realise how much I missed Y/n.Not seeing her and listening to her talk was like torture for two days,even Midnight sulked a lot and he is a horse.My thoughts the whole time where full of the beautiful princess like I promised. I have to speak to the queen about an important matter.

I found the queen in the main room of the castle
"Your majesty,may I have a few moments of your time please?" I ask
"Ah Prince Gellert,good to see you have returned safely, you may have my time" the queen says
"I er...would like your permission, if you will allow it...for me to ask your granddaughter to marry me" I say nervous.

"Two requests for permission in one day" the queen says,I feel my hear being to break,two...but that means...
"Don't look so worried,Y/n hasn't said yes" the queen says.At that moment Y/n burst into the room looking annoyed and Dumbledore following.

Y/n P.O.V

I walk into the main room to talk to gran,but I see Gellert as well
"Gellert your back" I say happy
"I am princess,and even happier at seeing you again" Gellert says walking over to me.I couldn't help but blush at his words
"I thought I said for you to never come back" Dumbledore says
"Oh be quiet you fool,this is my castle" gran says
"I've missed you and Midnight" I tell the prince.

"Midnight sulked more than I did,but I had important business to deal with" Gellert tells me
"Haven't you got to ask Y/n something?" Gran says almost jumping in her excitement. I look at gran confused and see nods behind me.I look back and see that Gellert is down on one knee.

"Y/n on the day we met it was by chance that we did,if I had gone on the same route as normal I wouldn't have found you.And I'm glad I did because since that day my life has changed for the better. You give me a reason to be happy and the want to get out of bed,I knew as long you wanted to keep seeing me I had a reason to be greatful.These past few weeks things have fallen into prospective for me and the most clear thing of all,is how much I love you. I know I'm not your mothers choice and I'm certainly not the best choice over all,but if you will have me I will spend the rest of my days loving you as you deserve to be loved.If you don't feel the same and say no to my question, I will fully respect your choice-but no that I will never love another as I love you.Y/n M/n L/n,will you do me the honor of being my one and eternal love and be my wife?" Gellert asks.

That was the most beautiful and heartfelt thing I have ever heard,it moved me and gran to tears.
"Yes Gellert I will marry you, because I love you too" I say happily
"No,you are not marrying this man,I forbid it" I hear mother say.Gellert stands back up and places a ring from his pocket onto my finger
"That choice is not yours to make" Gellert tells her
"Of course it is,I'm her mother."

"Actually the choice is Y/n's,that was the only stipulation I had before she becomes queen" gran says
"What,I'm your daughter I am the heir" mother shrieks
"Quiet you foolish woman,you are not fit to rule" gran says angry
"Fine name her heir,but watch this place fall apart when he is made king" Mother snaps
"DONT YOU DARE TALK OF MY PRINCE IN THAT WAY" I shout at her.

"He can't even look after his own family home,let alone this place" Dumbledore says
"What happened to my home was not my fault" Gellert says
"Is that why you left town?" I ask him
"Yes,I received word that the man I left in charge of my home gambled it away,he refused to hand over the deeds...so it was burnt to the ground" Gellert tells me
"I'm so sorry to hear that."

"So that's why you want to marry the princess, you don't love her you just want L/n castle as your own" Dumbledore says, which results in a punch in the face and a broken nose from Gellert
"You only wish to marry Y/n because you your self are broke and in a lot of debt" Gran says
"Even I didn't know that" Mother says"Will you forgive me daughter "
"No I can not and will not forgive you" I tell her.

No ones P.O.V

A few weeks later Princess Y/n L/n married Prince Gellert Grindelwald in a small and private ceremony with only a few guests,including Lord Scamander and his new wife.Later that same day it is announced to everyone that Y/n is the heir to the throne and on her birthday she would be crowned queen.Midnight is happy to see more of the princess and still fights with Gellert for her affection. "Who would have thought that a chance meeting would lead to a life time of happiness, with my Dark Prince Charming."
