Sweeney Todd 2.

At the start of the month I set out with one task in mind, but now it seems impossible. You see I had foolishly decided to try and make the moody barber that works upstairs smile - but so far it hasn't worked. I though with Turpin dead,Sweeney would be more happy but he isn't. Now I don't see the point of my task anymore, I have always been able to make someone smile but not Sweeney.

I changed the open sign so it now reads closed and set out to clean up my shop
"What the matter Miss Y/n?" My worker Henry asks me
"Its nothing Henry" I tell the younger man,as I began to clean the counter and he beings to sweep the floor
"There is something wrong,you haven't been yourself all week" Henry says,I let out a sigh.

"Its Mr Todd" I say
"What about him?" Henry asks looking over at me
"He is always so grumpy, and I can't seem to make him smile,not even once" I admit sadly
"That's not that bad,is it?" Henry inquires
"Yes,everyone should have some form of happiness in their life,even grumpy Todd" I tell Henry.

"You make a good point Miss Y/n" Henry agrees "I've never known you to give up though" I stop my cleaning and think,Henry is right I can't give up on Sweeney now
"You are right Henry" I say,I grab the last of the biscuits that didn't sell today and make my way to the barbershop upstairs. The door is open and I can see Sweeney looking out the window.

"I brought you some biscuits Mr Todd, to brighten your mood" I tell the man setting the plate down on the table,Sweeney doesn't move from the window"Do as you please with them,eat them,bin them I don't mind. But I will be back tomorrow and every day after that until you smile"I add and then head to the door to leave
"Wait" I hear Sweeney say,I turn back to the shop and see Sweeney is facing me.

"Why come back to see me smile,when it is impossible?" Sweeney asks
"Because that is what friends do,they bring happiness to each other" I tell him,and to my surprise Sweeney actually smiles and a not a sinister smirk
"You smiled"I say shocked
" I did"
"But why?"
"Because Y/n you didn't give up on me. You carried on and that means so much to me" Sweeney tells me.

"I am a determined woman" I smile
"Just as well I like my women determined and obedient" Sweeney adds with a wink. I feel the heat rush to my face at Sweeney's words
"Enjoy your handsome... i mean biscuits" I stutter before hurrying off. I couldn't stop the goofy smile on my face as I came back down the stairs, no matter how much Henry asked why I was so happy,I wouldn't tell him why.
