Sweeney's P.O.V

With Mrs Lovett home for the day I was the only one left in the pie shop,I had stayed to do some more work on the trap door from my barbershop to the cellar. I am just walking back up the stairs from the cellar when I hear the jingle of the bell above the shop door. I put my hand to my razors ready to attack the intruder, I open the door to the shop quietly and look around.

I don't see anyone so I walk further into the room. I head to lock the door thinking no one had come in after all, when I hear something move behind me,I turn to the sound
"Show your self,or I shall drag you out" I say loudly. Then out of the corner of my eye I see a figure stand up,I look over fully and see a young woman in her 20's
"I didn't mean to trespass sir" the woman says.
"What are you doing here?" I demand.

The woman flinches slightly
"I've got no place else to go sir,I'm homeless" the woman says sadly,I can see from her appearance that she is unclean,with long dirty H/c and her clothes are ripped
"Have you no family to stay with,friends?" I ask
"No sir my family are...dead,died in a fire" the woman says"I survived as I wasn't at home at the time."

"I can't allow you to stay here" I say to the woman
"Oh...okay...sorry to have troubled you" the woman says sadly,she heads to the door and I notice she has on no shoes and her feet are cut
"Wait" I say,the woman turns back to me"You can stay with me"
"But you said I couldn't stay" the woman reminds me.

"This shop isn't mine,I was...doing some work in the cellar for the owner,my shop is upstairs" I explained
"If you are sure" the woman says
"You will be safer with me,than out there" I say,I head to the door and open it and walk out onto the street. The woman joins me,after locking the pie shop door we head up to my barbershop"Why did you chose the pie shop to hide in?"I ask.

"Some drunk men where after me,and the pie shop was the only place with the door unlocked" the woman tells me. Once we are inside the barbershop, I turn to the woman
"Tell me your name?" I ask
"Y/n L/n" the woman says
"Todd,Sweeney Todd" I say
"Thank you for letting me stay Mr Todd,not many would" Y/n says
"I may actually have a use for you and in return you can stay here" I say
"What's that use then?" Y/n asks curious
"Tell me dear Miss L/n,what do you know of Jude Turpin?"
