Emma, (Y/n) and Michael were in Ibiza for a family vacation before school started, and (Y/n) thought it would be a wonderful idea to do some go karting while they were there.

"I'm so going to win." (Y/n) bragged, putting his helmet on. "No you aren't. I am." Michael retorted, scoffing at his father. Emma already knew she wasn't going to win, she would rather just let Michael win and be done with it, but that wasn't the case for (Y/n). He wanted to win, and he wanted to win badly.

Once everyone had their helmets on and were ready to go, they got in their go karts. They went over the rules, Emma forcing (Y/n) to pay attention. Once they were ready to go, they started their race.

Emma was taking it slow, just enjoying her ride and taking in the scenery. It was like she was sightseeing or going for a nice drive around the neighborhood.

(Y/n) and Michael on the other hand, were going as fast as they can to beat the other person. They kept bumping into each other in hopes of the other swerving and crashing, which wasn't allowed but they did it anyway.

While they were so busy fighting, Emma had passed them on her ride. She wasn't counting how many laps she had done, but she was way ahead of the two. She had finished her laps and parked her go kart, watching the two. She even had time to grab a snack while she waited.

"I'm winning!" Michael shouted to his father, rubbing it in his face. Michael was only one lap ahead of (Y/n). "I'm catching up! You are going to lose!" He retorted, speeding up a bit more. They both had broken the speed rules, but they had also broken every other rule so it didn't matter.

"I win! I told you! I told you so! I win! You lose!" Michael cheered, stopping his go kart on the finish line. "No you didn't. I did. You came in second." Emma brought up. "What?! You weren't even competing!" (Y/n) argued. "Yes I was! You just weren't paying attention!" She sighed, and sure enough she was right. (Y/n) and Michael had not paid attention when she said she would compete.

They all got out of the go karts, Emma much happier than the others. Michael was fine with second, and it was (Y/n) who came in last. "That was rigged, how did you even win?" He asked, taking off his helmet. "Easy, I just passed you guys while you were fighting and kept a slow and steady pace while you two were bumping each other." She explained, a smirk on her face.

"Fair enough. I'll take second." Michael stated, taking off all of his go kart gear and putting his baseball hat back on. (Y/n) was still irritated he didn't win, but he did have fun. Everyone had fun in their go kart ride, and they ended up going back again before they left.
