Emma was sitting on the couch reading her book, when she felt a sudden pain. She winced but continued to read her book until it happened again. "Ow!" She shrieked, getting (Y/n)'s attention.

"Are you alright?" He asked, walking over to her. "Fine. Just a sharp pain." She told him. "Are you sure you're not just like going into labor or something..?" He questioned, and just as he said that Emma felt water running down her legs. "Well, now I am." She informed, and helped her up. "Stay here! I'll go get everything!" He told her, running off. She waited there for a minute before he came back with the bag. "Okay! Let's go!" He announced, helping her to the car.

(Y/n) drove to the hospital as fast as he could without breaking the law. Once they got to the hospital, the nurses came out and brought them to a hospital room. "Can you call my mum? I want her here." Emma asked (Y/n) and he nodded. "Yeah, sure. I'll call her right now." He told her and took out his phone.

"Hi (Y/n)! Is everything alright with the baby?" Jaqueline asked. "Yeah about that, she's in labor and wants you here." He informed, and she squealed. "I'm on my way!" She announced and hung up. "She's on her way Em." He told her, and she nodded. "Good."

After a bit, Emma's contractions got worse, and her mood went downhill. "You're at five centimeters, and we can't have you start pushing until you're at ten centimeters." The doctor told her, and another contraction hit. "I hate this..it hurts." she mumbled, squeezing (Y/n)'s hand tightly. "Here, just think Em. Once you get this over with, we have a baby! And I know you love this baby, so it'll be worth it!" He shared, and she glared it him. "No? Okay.." He mumbled to himself.

"I'm never having any babies after this one! We're only having one kid!" She announced halfway through another contraction. She was actually serious about that, since her pregnancy had been very hard on her and she would most likely never want to go through something like that again. "Alright, that's fine." (Y/n) agreed, his hand now turning purple.

A few minutes later, Jaqueline arrived. "Mum! You made it!" Emma waved, and she walked to the other side of the hospital bed. "How's it going?" She asked. "He doesn't want to leave." Emma told her, talking about the baby. "He's gonna have to get out of here soon because I can't take this anymore. How did you even do this twice?"

"You kind of forget about the pain after you've had the baby. And then that makes you think it wasn't so bad, until you do it again." Jaqueline shared, and Emma scoffed. "Yeah right. I'm never forgetting this, let alone doing it again." She disagreed.

"Well, you've just made a very nice home for the baby to live in, and now he doesn't want to leave." (Y/n) mentioned, trying to lighten the mood. "Well I'm glad my miserable pregnancy gave him a nice home. That's just wonderful." She spoke sarcastically, annoyance lacing her tone.

"Okay! You're just about ready! I'd say maybe an hour or so and then we can start getting the baby out!" The doctor announced after checking her over. "Thank god.." Emma mumbled, and (Y/n) kissed her cheek. "I'm so excited! Emma you're going to have such a cute baby!" Jaqueline squealed, and she smiled. "Oh yeah, this baby is gonna be cute." She agreed and (Y/n) nodded.

After another hour of waiting around and Emma having horrible contractions, she was finally ready to start pushing. "Alright! Let's get this started! Unfortunately, only the father is allowed in the room for the delivery." The doctor told them, and Jaqueline nodded. "Let me know how it goes!" She told (Y/n) and he nodded. "The minute the baby is here I will come get you." He told her, and she nodded. "Bye mum! Next time you see me you'll have another grandchild!" Emma waved, and Jaqueline left the room.

Emma started pushing, and held (Y/n)'s hand tightly. "I hate you (Y/n)!" She shouted through the pain. "You're doing amazing!" He told her, kissing her forehead. "This is your fault! You did this to me!" She continued, and he just nodded. After another hour of pushing, a cry was heard. "It's a boy!" The doctor announced, and Emma sighed in relief. The nurses placed the baby on Emma's chest, and she kissed the baby's forehead. "Do you want to cut the umbilical cord?" The doctor asked (Y/n), and Emma looked up at him. "Sure?" He agreed, and went over to the doctor. He cut the cord and went back to Emma, kissing her lips quickly.

"You were amazing." He told her, and she smiled. The nurses took the baby to clean him up, and Emma decided on a name. "We should name him Michael! It's perfect!" She announced, and he agreed. "Michael (L/n). That does sound perfect." He muttered, and they both smiled. "Okay, let me go get your mum. I'll be right back." He told her, and she nodded, the nurses bringing Michael back to Emma. He was swaddled in a blue blanket, and he had a tiny blue hat on his head.

(Y/n) stepped out of the room and found Jaqueline. "He's here!" (Y/n) announced, and Jaqueline stood up. They went back inside the room and they took their seats. "Mum, this is baby Michael." Emma introduced, passing the baby to her. "He's so cute!" She whispered, holding him carefully and sitting down in her chair. "Do your parents know?" Jaqueline asked (Y/n) and he nodded. "They're on their way. They had to get a flight from England. Should be here soon, maybe by this evening." He told them. "Here, (Y/n) you hold him. You haven't held him yet." Emma announced, placing Michael in his arms.

He sat there carefully and admired the baby in his arms, noticing how he looked mostly like Emma, but Michael had (Y/n)'s eyes. "He's got my eyes, but he mostly looks like Emma." He whispered, not taking his eyes off of the baby. Jaqueline snapped a picture of the sight and sent it to Emma. Jaqueline left a few minutes later and let the new parents have a moment to themselves.

They spent the rest of their day together, spending time together as a family. Everything had worked out, and now they had Michael with them.
