(Y/n)'s family was never that great. He was the middle child with an older brother and a younger sister. However, his parents had favored his younger sister, Hannah. His parents didn't show him and his brother any attention, and if they did it was to yell at them and criticize them. Since his family was very rich, his parents had a certain attitude and were stuck up and very judgemental.

Meanwhile (Y/n) and his older brother Oliver were very close, but also the odd ones out in the family. Even though there was a seven year age gap, the two of them really only had each other. Their parents most certainly didn't care about them since they didn't act like their parents wanted them to, and Hannah despised the brothers as well.

Today was Oliver's eighteenth birthday and he was planning on running away from home. He couldn't take it anymore, and he was more than ready to leave. The only issue was (Y/n) wanted to go with him.

"Why not? If you leave I'll be all alone!" (Y/n) protested. "Because, you're only eleven years old and you still need to be at home! You need to grow up with parents." Oliver told his brother, who only scoffed. "They don't need me. They only care about Hannah. You're the only one who cares about me. I'd rather be with you than grow up without our parents." He continued his argument. "(Y/n), you cannot come with me. I'm not your legal guardian. Mum and dad still have you in their care so you cannot leave. We will both be in trouble if you do. I'm eighteen, I'm an adult, but you are not and you have to stay here." He shared, and then left the house.

"Don't leave! Please! If I can't come with you just don't leave!" (Y/n) shouted, desperation lacing his voice. "I have to! I can't be here any longer. I'm sorry (Y/n). I love you." Oliver sighed, walking to the bus stop. (Y/n) had tried to chase after his brother, but Oliver increased his pace and was too fast and out of sight within a minute.

(Y/n) walked back home in sadness. He was sad his brother had left him, and now he was all on his own.

Soon after Oliver left, (Y/n) had started acting in Harry Potter and became famous. His co-star and best friend Emma was always right by his side and by the fifth movie they started dating. (Y/n) didn't know it, but Oliver watched every movie he starred in and listened to every single interview.

However, their parents had been the ones controlling all the money, leaving (Y/n) with none of it. They had manipulated him into leaving it in their hands so they could give it to him responsibly, but never gave him any of it no matter how many times he asked.

Emma was the one who told (Y/n) that his parents weren't supposed to have the money he earned and most definitely shouldn't keep it away from him.

Eventually he started to listen to her and get some of own money, and hadn't let his parents control his fame and his life. Emma helped him escape the control of his parents and helped get him some of his money, it was clear she really cared about him.

When (Y/n) turned eighteen and had enough money saved away he moved out of his parents house as soon as possible. Once (Y/n) and Emma finished filming all the Harry Potter movies, their relationship had gotten serious to the point where he explained the whole story with his brother to her. Him and Emma moved in together at the age of 24 and got engaged a year later.

Once the two got engaged Emma started searching for Oliver. She always knew that (Y/n) really missed his brother, but he never even looked for him. The truth was that (Y/n) was still hurt about his brother leaving him and how he left him all alone with a family that didn't love him. Once she found him, she explained the situation and why she was trying to find him, and Oliver booked a ticket to LA to see his brother.

Today was the day Oliver finally came to visit (Y/n). He had finally arrived and had made his way to (Y/n)'s house, ready to be reunited with his younger brother.

"Em? Who's at the door..." (Y/n) asked, walking over and seeing Oliver on the other side. "(Y/n)." Oliver stated, still shocked that he was finally seeing his brother again. "Oliver." (Y/n) stated, but very confused. "So, after you told me all about your brother I figured you would want to see him again. I tracked him down and got him here to surprise you." Emma explained.

"You left me." (Y/n) stated to Oliver, this time a bit angry. "I did, but I couldn't stay there anymore. I had to leave." He explained. "Then why couldn't I have come with you? Mum and dad didn't care about me, they only cared about the money I made." (Y/n) argued. "Can we not argue about this? I'm sorry I left and I know you wanted to come with me, but you couldn't. You were only eleven and I couldn't have taken care of you. I've been working minimum wage ever since I left, and now I have money to support myself and my wife. There was no way I would've been able to support both of us, I could barely support myself. But now I'm back and I won't leave again. I don't want to be separated from you anymore." Oliver ended the argument there, and (Y/n) gave him a tight hug.

Oliver hugged him back and by now both of them were crying. They finally were reunited, and now nothing would separate them again. "I've missed you." (Y/n) mumbled into him, and he nodded. "I've missed you too." He whispered, and Emma left them to have their moment.

Once they finished their hug (Y/n) invited Oliver inside and the two of them caught up on what they had missed. Oliver explained how he had seen all of (Y/n)'s movies and what he had done once he had left. (Y/n) explained how he had been once Oliver left and what he had been up to, and how he had gotten famous.

"So you're married?" (Y/n) asked Oliver, and he nodded. "Yeah. I couldn't find a way to talk to you and your agency never answered so you didn't get invited but I tried." Oliver answered. "What does she do?" (Y/n) asked again. "She's a teacher." Oliver mumbled, and his brother nodded.

The two of them were finally reunited, and they wouldn't let themselves lose contact or be separated ever again.
