Emma walked into Michael's room early in the morning to wake him up for kindergarten. She turned on the lights to his room and saw the boy still sleeping in his bed, all the blankets sprawled everywhere and his stuffed animals had fallen onto the floor.

"Michael, wake up. You have to get ready for school." Emma shared, walking over to him. Michael groaned and turned over so he was facing away from his mother. She lightly stroked his back, and noticed how hot he was. "Oh my baby, you're burning up." Emma whispered, taking off some of his blankets. Michael turned over to face his mother, and she pressed a kiss to his cheek before placing the back of her hand on his forehead to feel his temperature.

"You're burning up. You're not going to school today. You need to stay home and rest." Emma told him, and he just closed his eyes again. "I'm going to make you some breakfast and get you some water." She whispered before leaving the room and letting him rest.

"Can you start a bath?" Emma asked (Y/n) when she entered the kitchen. "For what? You don't take baths." (Y/n) pointed out. "For Michael." She responded while pouring a glass of water. "Isn't he supposed to be at school?" (Y/n) asked, and Emma nodded. "Yes, but he's burning up. He has a fever. I'm having him stay home. I need to call his teacher as well." Emma told him, and he nodded. "I'll go run him a bath. I'm guessing not too hot?" He told her, and she nodded. "Thank you." She pressed a kiss onto his cheek before he left the room and she finished making him breakfast. After she called his teacher, Emma was finally ready to serve his breakfast.

"Eat some breakfast, and then you can take a bath." Emma told Michael, handing him a plate of eggs and yogurt. Emma went to check on his bath while he ate and when she came back he had put the plate down on the floor next to his bed. "Are you finished?" She asked, and he nodded. "You only ate half of it." She pointed out, and he nodded. "I'm not hungry mummy." Michael mumbled and drank some of his water. "Okay, let's get you in the bath." Emma whispered, helping him out of bed and getting him in the bath. Her and (Y/n) switched places and he supervised Michael's bath while Emma swapped out his bedsheets and pillowcases since they were all sweaty.

Once Michael was finished he was wrapped in a towel and returned to his room where he got changed into a new pair of pajamas, ones that were less warm so his temperature could go cool down.

(Y/n) sat with Michael for a while in his bed and watched some Tv with him on his laptop. Michael was nestled into his fathers side, who was about to fall off of Michael's very small bed. It could fit Michael very easily with a lot of room to spare, but it could not fit both (Y/n) and Michael. (Y/n) was simply too big for the small bed.

The two of them were watching Spider-Man cartoons when Emma came into the room with some more ice cold water and some saltines. Michael chewed on a saltine while watching his cartoons and eventually ate the entire box of saltines.

Eventually (Y/n) had to turn off the cartoons so Michael could get some sleep and he turned off the lights. "Okay Michael, you get some rest and when you wake back up you can have some soup." (Y/n) told him while ruffling his hair. Michael nodded and laid down before Emma came in the room as well.

"You get some rest Michael. And when you wake up I'll read you all of your favorite stories and you can have some lunch. Get some sleep. I love you." Emma whispered and kissed his forehead before smoothing out his hair and walking out of the room, softly shutting the door behind her. Michael fell asleep quickly and he was asleep for about three hours before waking up again.

Once he woke back up he went downstairs and sat on the couch, seeing his mother in the kitchen making soup. Emma noticed him sitting on the couch and once she finished making the soup set it down on the dining table before going to get him.

"Michael, your lunch is ready." Emma whispered and scooped him up. She brought him to the table and he sat down. She sat across from him as he ate his soup, only eating a little more then half of it.

He went back to bed and took another nap before he had enough energy to play with some of his legos before dinner.

After he had dinner he got to watch Spider-Man and play with his legos more before falling asleep on the couch. (Y/n) took him up to bed before the two adults spent the rest of the night cuddling and watching tv.
