Michael was talking to Ben and Daniel while walking down the hallways at school when one of the popular football players walked up to him. "Hey Michael! Wanna hangout with me and the guys sometime?" He asked, and Michael nodded. "Sure." He agreed, and the guy patted him on the back before leaving. Michael looked back to see him walking away, a bit confused on why he even asked. Michael wasn't popular, but he wasn't considered unpopular either.

"Really?" Ben asked, and Daniel nodded. "Why does Jackson want to hang out with you? Doesn't he only hang out with the football boys?" Daniel asked, and Michael shrugged. "Dunno. But at least he wants to hang out." Michael answered, Ben and Daniel sharing a skeptical look. "I wouldn't trust him Michael, he could just want to meet your parents or something." Ben told him. "Yeah. You do what you want, but I wouldn't trust him." Daniel advised.

"You guys are overreacting. Jackson's cool. He wouldn't do that." Michael defended. "Fine. I know you believe in that whole everyone's nice until they prove otherwise thing, but I'm sure he's using you." Daniel shared. "Whatever." Michael shrugged, and they continued on with their day.

After school, Michael, Daniel and Ben were walking home from school when Jackson approached Michael again. "Hey Michael! Let's meet up at your house tomorrow yeah?" Jackson asked, and Michael nodded. "Sure Jackson." He agreed, and Jackson gave him another pat on the back. "Great! I'll meet you after school tomorrow." He nodded and ran off back to his friends, while Michael turned back to Ben and Daniel.

The two didn't say anything and they kept walking, and by the when Michael got back home, he did his homework before his parents got back home. Michael told Millie, Sadie, and Noah about hanging out with Jackson, and they all warned him that Jackson was a fake friend, but Michael didn't listen.

The next day went by quickly, and Jackson and Michael were walking to his house. "So like, your parents are famous?" Jackson asked, and Michael nodded. "Yeah, but they don't act like it. They try not to act like their famous around people, they just want to be treated normally." Michael told him, and he nodded. "Cool." Jackson mumbled.

Once they got home, Michael closed the door and Jackson wandered around. "Where are your parents anyway?" He asked, and Michael shrugged. "Work. Why do you care about my parents so much?" He responded. "Cause I want to meet them! Wait! Do you think I was actually here for you?" Jackson asked, and Michael nodded. "Really? Sorry, but I'm really only interested in meeting the famous actors, not you." Jackson fake apologized, and Michael just held a disappointed face for a second before he pushed Jackson out the door. He quickly texted Ben and Michael saying they were right, and he told Sadie the same thing.

Michael went upstairs and tried to brush it off and do his homework, and he managed to finish half of it before his parents got home. There was a knock on his bedroom door, and his mother entered after. "Hi!" She said while closing the door behind her and sitting on the foot of his bed. "Hi." He mumbled, going back to his homework. "Are you alright?" Emma asked, and Michael nodded. He didn't want her to know about what had happened with Jackson. "Fine, just lots of homework." He excused and kept working, and she nodded. "Well then, just come downstairs when you're finished." She told him, and he nodded. She kissed the top of his head and left the room, closing the door behind her.

Once his homework was finished, he walked downstairs to see Emma and (Y/n) waiting for him, and a Twix bar along with a skittles bag sitting on the table. He knew those were from Sadie as she's the only one who gets him both of those, and quickly realized his parents found out about Jackson from Sadie.

"Sit down." (Y/n) told him, and he nodded. "What happened with that boy? Sadie told us about a fake friend." Emma asked. "Well, he asked to hangout and I thought he didn't care about you guys or anything and Ben and Daniel said that he did, but I didn't listen. And then when he came over he said he really only cared about you guys and just wanted to meet you. But don't worry, it doesn't matter anyway." Michael explained. "Michael, you just have to understand that while it's good to be kind, people are going to take advantage of that sometimes. It's not your fault, but you just have to be more aware. You're a good kid and we love you, but you really need to be careful with these kinds of things. You're not in trouble, but just keep that in mind alright?" Emma told him, rubbing his back and then giving him a hug. (Y/n) joined in, and they had a group hug before they ate dinner. After dinner they watched a movie together before Michael called all of his friends and apologized.

"Okay, before you all say I told you so I just want you to know, I probably should've listened to you guys." Michael apologized, and everyone accepted his apology. "It's fine, just as long as you know to be more careful next time then we're all good." Ben brushed it off, and Daniel hummed in agreement. "Yeah, honestly I get why you said yes to hanging out with him. You just wanted a new friend and you didn't care who it was. As long as you aren't too upset we're okay." Noah accepted his apology, and so did Millie and Sadie.

The next day, Michael was walking to school with Ben and Daniel. After another apology about how he should've listened to them, they forgave him and everything was fine again. Michael knew to be more careful about who he was having over, and he was much more grateful for his friends. They always had each other's backs, and nothing would change that.

(Tomorrow is Michael's birthday!!)
