Michael was about to go back to school for the first time since Covid had happened, but the question was would he stay online or go back in person? And that was what (Y/n) and Emma were trying to figure out.

"He can't go back, it's unsafe! He's so little and he's not allowed to get vaccinated yet! He'll get sick!" Emma told (Y/n). "It'll be fine, he knows how to wear a mask and he goes to one of the top schools in the state, surely they'll know how to keep a four year old safe." (Y/n) argued.

"It'll be much better if he stays at home! His teacher can teach him online, it'll be fine! I can teach him!" Emma defended. "Em, schools are safe. Teachers know how to keep kids safe! If he wears his mask and washes his hands he will be fine. We both have work, we don't have time to teach him from home." (Y/n) continued, bringing up a good point.

Both of them were about to go to work and continue filming their projects. If they were busy filming all the time, there would be no time to teach Michael.

"I can push it back. My only focus is my family and keeping them safe, and with all of the cases I don't think it's safe to go back." Emma stated, and (Y/n) sighed. None of them noticed Michael enter the room until he was squeezed in bed with the two of them.

"Why are you yelling?" Michael asked, nestling into his fathers side. "We're just having a loud talk, that's all." Emma dismissed while stroking his hair. "Michael, do you want to go to school or stay at home? If you go to school you have to be very careful and wear your mask, but if you stay here you won't get to be with your friends." (Y/n) asked, letting Michael have a say on how he wants to learn.

"Ummm, I want to stay at home with daddy! But I want to see all my friends!" Michael decided, giving his father a hug and quite frankly shocking Emma with his answer. She had figured he would want to stay at home with her considering how attached he was to her, but she was glad he was spending more time with (Y/n).

"Okay, well what if you stayed at home some days and went to school other days? Would you like that?" (Y/n) asked, and Michael nodded. Emma thought about it for a second before agreeing, now coming to a conclusion on what they would do.

After talking to the school Emma and (Y/n) decided that Michael would learn from home on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and would be at school on Thursdays and Fridays. Michael was very happy with this arrangement, and Emma stayed true to her word and pushed back her project for a bit in order to be at home with Michael, and (Y/n) did the same.

Both of them stayed at home and helped Michael learn, and on the days he was at school (Y/n) and Emma would spend the day together and go out for lunch together. Sometimes they would run errands together but most of the time they would spend the day having lunch together and then going for a walk.

Everything had worked out in the end and everyone was happy with the arrangements. Michael loved being at home with his family and being at school with his friends, and (Y/n) and Emma were just happy that Michael was happy.
