With the pandemic rising and the USA going under lockdown, (Y/n), Emma and Michael were all stuck inside for the foreseeable future.

(Y/n)'s movie production was put on hold, and Emma's campaign was moved online. Michael's kindergarten class had went remote and the teachers sent over workbooks so they didn't have to be on the computer all day, so his life didn't change too much other than not being able to go to school and the park.

However, Emma took this quarantine as a time to spend most of her days with her family. She had decided to get a bunch of things to keep Michael entertained and things they could do together, like different arts and crafts kits.

Emma now had at least seven poorly made mugs, but she loved them and used them anyway just because they were from Michael. But today's activity was making sourdough bread. Michael had just finished all of his schoolwork and they decided to get started.

"So, I need you two to get these ingredients. Michael, can you go get the eggs for mummy?" Emma asked, the boy nodding and running off to get the eggs. "And (Y/n), I need you to get the butter and milk, and also make sure Michael doesn't drop the eggs." She added. "Alright." (Y/n) agreed and went to do his job. Emma set up all the bowls and things she would need while the two got the ingredients.

Once the two came back with the ingredients Emma gave them another job. "Now I need someone to crack the eggs. Do you want to do that?" Emma asked Michael, and he nodded. "Okay, let me help you though." She added, taking out and egg. They cracked the egg together and put it in a bowl, throwing the shell out. After they did that with a few more eggs, Michael went to wash his hands while she got the flour and stuff in a different bowl.

The next step was to combine everything, which wouldn't be too hard. "Okay, so now pour your eggs in here while I go turn in the oven." Emma instructed, Michael grabbing the bowl. He didn't do too well, accidentally spilling the eggs on the counter while his mother's back was turned. "Uh oh." He whispered, grabbing a towel. When he tried to clean it up, he accidentally knocked over the other bowl with flour and butter inside, the bowl crashing to the floor.

Emma turned around to see all the ingredients on the floor, and Michael looking down in shock. "What happened?" She asked in a calm tone, not too mad at the boy since it was most likely an accident. "It fell." He responded, pointing to the bowl. "Yes, but how did it fall?" She continued. "I dunno. It was up here and now it's down there." He explained, and Emma nodded. "That's okay, let's clean it up and we can do something else." She told him while turning off the oven, and he nodded.

The two spent the next twenty minutes cleaning all the eggs and flour off the counter and floor before putting all the bowls in the sink. "All done! Do you want to go draw now?" She asked, and he nodded his head excitedly, taking his mother's hand and dragging her to the living room.

Michael got out the crayons and started to draw a picture for Emma, (Y/n) coming in and grabbing a piece of paper to draw with Michael. Emma was sitting on the couch and watching the two draw and taking pictures of the sight. She sent them to her family to show them what they were up to during these times, before her manager called her.

Apparently there was some new crazy rumor about her that she needed to shut down, so she took to Twitter. She wrote her tweet saying how she wasn't up to too much, and how she was just spending time with her family.

"No news about me that the media has been saying is real. If I have news, I promise to share it with you. In the meantime, please assure that no news from me just means I'm spending the pandemic the way most people are - failing to make sourdough bread (!), doing lots of arts and crafts, drawing pictures, and trying to navigate the world of remote learning with my son, while caring for my family and loved ones and doing my best not to spread a virus that is still affecting many people." Her tweet read. She shut her phone off and went to the little table where Michael and (Y/n) were seated.

Even though the pandemic was nothing to be happy about, Emma was thankful for the lockdown since it provided her with much needed time to spend with her family while trying to keep everyone else safe.

The family spent the next few minutes drawing together before Michael finished his. "I'm done!" He announced, both parents turning to him. "What did you draw?" (Y/n) asked, Michael showing both his parents the picture. "It's all of us! That's you." He pointed to one figure with long brown hair on the paper and back at his mother. "And that's you!" He pointed to another, and then pointed at his dad. "And is that you?" Emma asked, pointing to the stick figure in the middle that was holding hands with the other two. "Yeah!" He nodded, handing her the picture before making a new one, this time the picture being a grey and black cat. It wasn't much longer before he got hungry and also wanted to go outside.

While Emma made them all a snack, (Y/n) and Michael went to play outside in the backyard. They were playing catch, Michael getting pretty good at throwing the ball to his father from a farther distance.

Emma called them back inside and they spent the rest of the day watching some Tv and playing with Michael's legos. The pandemic was horrible and getting thousands of people sick, but Emma found a bright side to the lockdown, and that was being able to spend time with her family.
