Emma had recently decided to take a new movie role, one that would require her to be away from her family. She was already a bit hesitant since she would have to be away from Michael, and he was not the best about being separated from her, especially since he was a bit young.

He was only five and didn't quite understand why is mother was leaving, all he knew was she was going to be gone for a long time and he didn't understand why she just couldn't stay here with him. He had clung to her whenever he could, and Emma was staring to think it would be better if she didn't go.

"Mummy do you have to go? You can stay here and do your talking job!" He told her, talking about her activism. "Maybe. I'll have to see." She told him, and he decided maybe wasn't a good enough answer and clung onto her leg. "What are you doing?" She asked through a giggle, and he didn't move. "Now you can't leave!" He announced, and she chuckled a bit. She had made up her mind there and decided not to leave, since she didn't feel comfortable going and because she didn't want to leave Michael for so long.

"Okay, I won't leave." She told him, and he held his pinky up. "Pinky promise?" He asked, and she nodded and connected her pinky with his. "Pinky promise." She confirmed. Michael let go of her and went to go play with his legos, while she emailed her manager to tell him that she wasn't going to do the movie and instead focus on activism.

After thinking about it throughly, she realized she didn't want to do it as much as she thought she did, and was actually more excited to keep working on activism.

A few days later Emma had received news of a conference in LA for climate change and they had asked for her to speak and give a speech. She had agreed and was given three weeks before she had to submit her speech and go to the conference.

So, she started writing her speech. It wasn't going to well, and she didn't have too many ideas for things to write. Her mind was empty, until she looked outside to see Michael and (Y/n) playing outside.

That's when it clicked. Emma wanted Michael to grow up in a world that was flourishing and not dying. So, she started writing and was able to get through about half of her speech before taking a break.

She went outside to see (Y/n) and Michael running around outside. "Mummy! Come play!" Michael told her, and she started running around with them and playing tag.

After a little while of playing outside, Michael had lunch and they went to go play inside since it started raining. Michael watched a bit of Tv with Emma all cuddled up under Michael's Spider-Man blanket. (Y/n) took a picture of them without them realizing it and before he knew it, both the mother and son were asleep, still cuddled up under the Spider-Man blanket. (Y/n) took another picture and sent them both to Emma, but she didn't seem them since she was asleep.

When she woke up, she saw the pictures and saved them both, making the one of them her Home Screen. Her Lock Screen was a picture of her and Michael at universal studios with Spider-Man, Emma resting Michael on her hip, the two smiling for the camera with Spider-Man, and now her Home Screen was a photo of her and Michael cuddling up with a Spider-Man blanket.

Three weeks later, Emma was ready to give her speech at the conference. She had her notecards and stepped out onto the stage and cleared her throat before talking.

"As many of you may know, I have a family of my own. My son is only five years old and over the few years he's been on this earth, he's experienced many climate issues." Emma started, the picture of her and Michael asleep on the couch with the Spider-Man blanket showing on the screen behind her. "He has a very good imagination, one I hope never goes away, and often likes to play outside and pretend he's Spider-Man saving the word." She continued, a smile on her face when she talked about Michael and letting out a chuckle at the Spider-Man part.

"However, he can't play outside in our backyard if our forests are on fire and burning nearby. I want him and all of the children in the world to grow up with a clean environment and not a dying one. Sometimes I will be driving down the street on my way to take him to school and see people throwing trash out of their cars! When he goes to the park and plays on the playground, there is trash lying everywhere and the trash bin will be completely empty because everyone has littered instead of walking five feet to throw it away properly." She continued, the crowd cheering and clapping for her as she caught her breath and went back to her speech.

"The litter that you have thrown out in the park also ends up in our oceans as well and pollutes the water, also hurting the animals living in the oceans around the world. My family has gone to the beach many times, and each time there is always trash floating out in the water. It's never close enough for us to take it out and it's usually out deep, way to deep for us to swim to, but it is still there and could hurt a fish or bird that mistakes it for food. One time we were at the beach and there was a turtle lying on the sand with a plastic soda can holder around it's neck, choking the turtle. Fortunately my son noticed it and was able to take it off without hurting the turtle and saved its life. Now if my five year old son can do this, so can you all." She mentioned, the crowd agreeing with her on the last part.

"So with that, I encourage you all to do your part and make the world a healthy place for you and your families to live in. Walk to that trash can and properly throw out your waste, recycle when you can, use a bike instead of a car to reduce carbon emissions! And remember, if my five year old can throw out his trash and recycle, and even save a turtles life, you all can do it to. Together we can make the world a better place, and it is up to us to make sure we don't destroy our world. Thank you all for listening." Emma ended her speech, the crowd giving her a standing ovation. She smiled at them and took a small bow before walking off stage.

The conference ended a few hours later and she went home to see Michael and (Y/n) playing in his treehouse. She quickly changed her clothes and went outside, only to be stopped outside of the treehouse. "You need the password!" Michael told her, poking his head out from the entrance. Emma giggled and answered the password. "Mummy is the best in the entire world!" She told him, only to be shot down. "Wrong password!" He yelled down to her. "Spider-Man is the best superhero ever!" She tried again, and was allowed up.

When she got to the top of the treehouse she saw Michael's toy cars lying out and (Y/n) waiting for Michael to come back. He handed her a red car and the three of them all played with their cars together as a family. Today had been a good day for Emma, and she was determined to make the world a better place for Michael to live in.
