After the whole argument with (Y/n)'s parents happened, they didn't talk for a while. (Y/n) and his dad still talked occasionally since he really only had issues with his mother, but he never mentioned anything about him and Emma.
(Y/n) and Emma got married and now had a son named Michael, which the media had just found out.
Emma had only given birth a few days ago and now everyone knew. She knew that people would find out eventually, but nobody realized that (Y/n)'s parents were reading these articles for information. Instead of hearing this news from their son, they had to find out through media articles.
Once they got back home and Emma was with Michael upstairs, (Y/n)'s phone rang. "Hello?" (Y/n) asked when he answered the phone. "(Y/n).." His mother started, and he rolled his eyes even though she couldn't see it. "What?" He asked. "Did you really have a child with her?" His mother asked him in a angry tone. "Yes I did, and we both are completely happy so don't go and ruin it now." He told her, and she scoffed. "I want to meet him, he is my grandson and I deserve to see him." His mother demanded. "No, I won't let you. You can't even support me being with Emma, so why would I let you see our child?" He told her, emphasizing the word our.
"He's my grandson! I want to be in his life!" She shared. "Well how can you be in his life when you can't even make an effort to be in mine? You haven't talked to me in years and you suddenly call me asking to see him! Believe me I want him to grow up with his grandmother in his life, but unless you try to make an effort in our lives then the answer is no. If you wont even try to fix our relationship I certainly won't be letting you see my son. Goodbye." He told her and hung up the phone.
"Who was that?" Emma asked, walking into the room. "My mother." He shared, earning a confused look from Emma. "Really? What does she want?" She asked. "She wants to see Michael and be involved in her grandchild's life. I said no. I know I should've made that decision with you but I don't want her seeing Michael if she won't even try to fix her relationship with me. Like she only called for him, not even a 'hi how are you (Y/n)? Sorry we haven't talked in a while, I've been too busy talking shit about you behind your back to every family member' So why would I let her see him when she barely sees me and doesn't have one good thing to say." He ranted, and she nodded. "Alright. I personally didn't like how she criticized our relationship and now suddenly supports it without actually ever talking to you, so I think that's a fair choice." Emma agreed before thinking about it even more. "Well, maybe she could see him once or twice? I don't want Michael to grow up without his grandmother." She offered.
"Maybe. I don't want to see her but I want Michael to grow up with his grandmother. If she makes an effort I'll let her." He decided. Emma agreed and he called his mother to let her know. "Listen mum, Emma and I have agreed if you make an effort to see him and be in our lives you can have a relationship with Michael. If you want to see him we'll be home all week." He told her. "Thank you. I promise to make things better and right, and I'll see you guys tomorrow." She told him, hanging up the phone. "What did she say?" Emma asked. "She's coming tomorrow." (Y/n) answered with a small smile. Maybe he finally would have a good relationship with his mum, and hopefully they could make things right between them and let Michael grow up with all of his grandparents.
Emma went back upstairs to go get Michael since he woke up from his nap, and (Y/n) followed her upstairs. Emma was holding Michael in her arms and rocking him while admiring him. Everyone was somewhat looking forward to the next day, and maybe Michael would grow up with both sets of grandparents in his life.
