After Mumbo's party, and the few weeks after, Grian was sadder and was slightly regretful for what he did.

He eventually told Mumbo.

After that school year ends, Grian would be moving to America for an internship. It was approved even before Grian and Mumbo had officially met.

Because of the distance, he didn't know if he'd be able to have a stable relationship with Mumbo, and so he was going to ask Mumbo to live the rest of his life, and not waste it on waiting for him.

Because he wasn't going back to the UK.

Mumbo was heartbroken, and so was Grian.

But Grian wanted to go, so he wouldn't tether someone down when they wouldn't see eachother for a long time.

That was years ago.

Grian now worked as a translator. He co-owned and worked at a library for the most part however.

The other owner was the man who owned the coffee shop connected to the library. He was much more optimistic, and easily scared, but he was Grian's best friend.

He had brown short hair and green eyes. He always wore a red top hat, that had a green band around it. He wore red coats over green button up shirts. His grey pants matched the outfit, just as much as the black boots.

A scream broke Grian's thoughts.

"Scar!?" Grian yelled, running from the library to the cafe.

"I'm fine..." Scar said, laying on the ground.

"Are you certain?"

"He just saw a spider." Veronica said from behind the counter.

"It was a tarantula!" Scar said, sitting up.

Grian looked to Scar slightly disappointed.

"Come on." Grian said, pulling Scar back onto his feet. "Do you want some hot chocolate?"

Scar smiled and nodded.

"Be safe you two!" Veronica yelled.

Grian just rolled his eyes.

Grian brought Scar to the corner store across the street, and bought hot chocolate mix, along with some candy Scar wanted.

They walked back to the cafe, and Grian made the hot chocolate for Scar. As he placed the hot chocolate and sat across from Scar, he looked to the butterfly tattoo in his left forearm.

Whenever he saw it, he thought of Mumbo. Mumbo was the first person he showed it to, so it made sense he would think of Mumbo.

"Who are you looking for?" Veronuca asked, causing Grian to look at the man in the cafe.

"His name is- or was at the time- Grian. He's an old friend of mine." The man said.

Veronica raised an eyebrow, before pointing towards Grian. As the guy turned, Grian was slightly confused.

He had black hair and chocolate eyes, but a mustache.

"Mumbo...?" Grian asked, still suprised at the mustache.

"Grian!" The guy said happily.

"So you gonna introduce me to your boyfriend, or what?" Scar teased.

Grian just rolled his eyes.

"Scar, this is Mumbo. He's not my boyfriend." Grian said staring directly into Scar's eyes.

Scar frowned but waved to him.

"You two would make a cute aesthetic couple." Scar mumbled. (Mumblod is what I almost put. :l )

"Thank you Scar." Grian said.

Grian turned to Mumbo before taking the man to the library.

Grian sat on the top of the desk in the back of the library, trying to figure out what to say.

"Your a spoon." Grian decided on.

"I should've expected you to say that." Mumbo responded.

"Now what's that supposed to mean?" Grian said, pulling Mumbo close to him.

Mumbo blushed but kissed Grian lightly.

Grian let go of Mumbo, and blushed a deep crimson red. Grian's hands partically covered his mouth, but it didn't hide the wide smile.

"Your still so cute when you're flustered." Mumbo teased.

Grian immediately glared at him and crossed his arms.

"And when your mad." Mumbo added on.

"What part of me do you not find cute, jerk face." Grian said.

"Nothing." Mumbo added.

Grian glared at him, before a realization hit him.

"What are you doing here?" Grian asked, setting his hands on the desk.

Mumbo smiled to Grian.

"I'm coming here for a corporate party my parents are throwing. I thought I might as well kill two birds with one stone and visit you, right?" Mumbo said, his eyes drifting to the butterfly tattoo.

Grian smiled to Mumbo, and pulled Mumbo close to him again, before hugging him.

With the desk, Grian was just tall enough to be almost face to face with Mumbo.

Mumbo had continued to grow taller, while Grian shrank an inch in the 7 years they'd been apart.

"Do you want to go get something to eat, like together..." Mumbo asked, slightly nervous.

Grian nodded, and let go of Mumbo.

Later that day, they went to a restaurant. They ordered, and talked.

"So how do you still know german?" Mumbo asked.

"Yeah. I've added some languages since then, but my job is a translator after all."

"Can you pronounce this than?" Mumbo asked, sliding his phone over to Grian.

"Ich liebe dich." Grian said. (I love you.)

"I love you too." Mumbo said.

Then he realized what Mumbo did.

"Oh, du dreckiger kleiner Fick." Grian said. (Oh, you dirty little fuck.)

Mumbo looked to him slightly confused.

"It was nothing." Grian said.
