Implied Iskall x Stress
Grian x Mumbo

~

Grian was...

Glitchy.

Everything that would make a major impact on the future would change him in some way.

He'd known this. He knew why, too.

But no one else did.

So when Ren found Grian, he was concerned for his friend. Grian was laying in a small patch of Mycelium at his base, which was confusing because why would Grian keep Mycelium at his base, let alone sleep on the stinky stuff?

But that wasn't the main thing that was concerning.

No, it was that Grian's sweater was thrown ten(ish) feet away, exposing Grian's chest and back. Small - small - avian wings rested against the blonde's back, but along with that was three things that even Ren knew wouldn't be normal on Shape Shifters. A patch of grass grew from Grian's shoulder, but a patch of Mycelium laid on his side with small mushrooms growing. The third was that on his upper left forearm, their was a patch of why looked like gunpowder.

Ren's curiosity got the better of him, and he leaned down to touch. The powder slid off, but Grian's skin wasn't exposed. Rem stared in suprise, as his finger moved over to the edge of the gunpowder patch. It was confusing.

So Ren messaged Stress and Xisuma about it.

...

"Grian what happened to you?" Xisuma asked, his hand grazing over the patch of Mycelium on the blonde's side.

Grian sighed before sitting up, followed by both Xisuma and Stress telling him not to.

"I'm alright. I knew it was gonna happen." Grian muttered, before speaking louder. "I'm a shifter. Shifters are less known to the public by that name, because of their sister race the Shape Shifters. We usually get called the Adaptations, as we get effected by things they do are are apart of. Like how when I created the Mycelium Resistance, I started growing moss on my side. Or how during the hippie days I had flowers growing from my shoulder."

"...So your... Your okay?" Xisuma asked. "It's hybrid traits?"

Grian nodded. "The worst thing that has ever occured to a shifter is losing their memory. Because their body will fight off their found traits. From what I've heard it feels like your burning from the inside out..."

"And your love of TNT created the endless amount of gunpowder coming from your arm?" Stress asked.

Grian looked over at it, before grimacing and turning back to his friends. "I hate that one."

And Grian had an extremely justified reason to hate it.

That feeling you get when there is sand somewhere on your body? Imagine feeling it but almost 1,000 times worse in one small area, but the particles would break off and get caught in any clothing and the feeling spreads. Plus gunpowder is really easy to explode, so more times then Grian cares to admit, he explodes.

"Why?" Stress asked.

"Its like sand, it gets everywhere." Grian said. "And it's not the right type to use in a fireworks, only in tnt."

"...oh." Xisuma and Stress said.

"Yeah... Besides I'm suprised you guys haven't asked about the wings yet." Grian said, pointing to the small light grey wings on his back.

"Why do you have those?" Xisuma asked.

"I dunno, they just appeared partway through the civil war."

"Ah so Poultry Man-" Stress started, laughing quietly.

"He's the man in the chicken costume! Not me!" Grian playfully said, sticking out his tongue.

"Why are they small?" Xisuma asked.

"...W-Well-" Grian clasped his hands together. "...because it takes years for Avian wings to grow to a size they can fly with... so my wing size is that of like... a 5 year old avian..."

Xisuma snickered, followed by a light punch from Stress.

"Would you like a patch or something to keep the gunpowder from getting everywhere?" Stress asked.

"If you did that you would be my goddess." Grian said, more then half serious.

"Sorry, I'm already Iskall's." Stress stuck out her tongue at the blonde.

"Awww darn it, guess I have to ask Mumbo." Grian shrugged, making a joke. Stress and Xisuma froze, and Grian realized they didn't know. Which made him bust out laughing.

"What?" Xisuma asked.

Grian almost fell off the bed laughing, but once he calmed down enough to explain, he did so.

"Mumbo and I have been married for nine years-"
