Grian Oneshots

127 ~ Eden & Erebos [E&E] 1/?

Grian told his friends about his godhood when he joined and grew close to them. No one judged him, as he didn't use his powers often, only if someone was cold he would warm them up. He never used his powers selfishly, and Xisuma only asked for advice with major glitches in the world.

Dream was the opposite. He held his godhood over his server, and played with people's minds. He uses his powers extremely selfishly.

The pair had an argument where Grian was mad at Dream for messing with the Godess of Death's child, Theseus (Origin!Tommy). Grian had tried healing Theseus's mind, but was unable to because of Dream's hold on him. Theseus took his life, Grian mourned the death with the family, as he treated Philza as his brother, and his family as his own. Dream said it was his role to mess with humans, and Grian explained their true roles, but he ignored Grian's words. Dream was only supposed to bring darkness to the world, where Grian would bring light. It wasn't supposed to be that Dream would mess with people by fracturing their minds. He was only supposed to cause people to react negatively to emotions.

That was when Grian, in his god form, was last seen. He still influenced the world, but he didn't visit the world like he had before. He was part of the council of gods, but he barely interacted with the world. He was closest with Madam Death, Philza Minecraft, and Herobrine.

Grian met Mumbo, Minor God of Redstone and Lag, and they became friends. They joined Hermitcraft separately, and the Hermits didn't know Mumbo was a God until Grian mentioned him being one.

Grian floated around the air as he messed with his god communicator. There was a god meeting later today, so he was stressing out about the concerns mentioned in the meeting. So much that he didn't even notice his lack of gravity around him.

"Grian." He heard Mumbo say.

Grian looked down at him, and became confused on why he was so high up. He shook his head and floated down and landed softly.

"I'm sorry." Grian said, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Its okay." Mumbo said, sitting on Grian's bed. "What's the meeting about?"

"The glitches travelling from one update to another. Sever hopping has gotten more glitchy, and we're trying to figure out how to help the servers without corrupting it from major gods being on a server for too long." Grian said, sitting near Mumbo, leaning on his hands with his elbows resting on his knees.

"Aren't you a major god?" Mumbo asked.

"No. I'm a child of a monster and a god, that was turned into a god. I was powerful and willing to serve the gods, so they kept me around. I was turned into a god after protecting a demigod from a monster." Grian recalled.

"Ah..." Mumbo said, letting Grian lean against him. "Would you like me to join you at the meeting?"

Grian frowned slightly.

"Sure, but at any moment you could be sent out. So it would waste your time..." Grian said.

"Eh, if I do get sent out I can mess with Redstone ideas with some of the other Redstone gods." Mumbo said, wrapping his arm around Grian. Grian smiled and closed his eyes.

Grian walked into the hall and Mumbo followed. Eight of the thirteen gods stood around the hall talking with one another.

"Ah, Lotus. It's been a long time." Dan said, smiling to the minor god.

"Lord Dan." Mumbo greeted.

"No formalities, please. We're all gods here." Dan said. "So the rumors about you and Eden are correct."

"Eden?" Mumbo asked.

"One of my god names." Grian said, becoming more and more relaxed.

Dan was the god of technology, and was made a god long before most of the gods in the council. Dawn, Kristen, Xavier, Karl, and Mysteria being older then him. Dan was, by everyone's definition, a dad. Especially to the minor gods of technology, which Mumbo was.

Grian checked the room, to see that Dan, Karl, Herobrine, Foolish, Mysteria, Ellen, Nemesis, and Xavier were in the room.

"Where's the others?" Grian asked.

"They are currently having an issue with a server. Kristen should be here soon, but last I heard Philza was on a server and had adopted a child and the other one went insane. The child that wasn't insane ended up worse then his brother apparently." Xavier said, walking over to them, he introduced himself as Xavier, the god of war, before turning to Grian. "Do you believe Erebos is behind this?"

"As the child isn't a demigod and I haven't met them, I cannot say." Grian said. There was hope in his eyes that Erebos wasn't behind it, but he doubted it.

"Isn't Erebos the god of darkness? He was the last person to see you on the mortal plane before your self exile, correct?" Mumbo asked. Grian looked to his best friend.

"Its hard to talk about without the necessary time." Grian admitted. It was a long story, and one he wasn't too willing to indulge in right then. Mumbo nodded to his fellow God, and began talking with Dan about Redstone. He might of muttered something about Redstone being magic, but no one can prove it. He was, however, hit with a book that fell out of a portal.

He managed to stifle his own laughter as he tossed the book back at Ellen, the goddess of magic. No doubt in his mind laid that the book was because of her.

Eventually the others showed up, with Dawn, goddess of life, took him aside and told him the news before hand.

They had found Erebos.

The meeting was a blur, as it wasn't about the issue Grian was obsessing over. Erebos was back. They had found him...

Kristen allowed Mumbo to join the small group as they made their way down a hall towards her office. Actually, no one had said anything about Mumbo being there. Once inside, Grian made extra seats from the empty broken bookcase.

Dawn, Kristen, Philza, Techno, Mumbo, and Grian were the only gods here. As they were the last to fight or see Erebos.

"Erebos is back." Kristen said. "And he's pretended to be human to cause enough negativity to grow powerful enough to revive someone." Techno let out a huff of anger at the mention of revival.

"I don't understand?" Mumbo asked. "What's wrong with revival?"

"Mumbo..." Grian started.

"If revival is performed not by the godesses of death or life, there are effects. Most of the time, deadly effects." Dawn said. "The way Erebos revives them, results in these effects."

"How did you guys deal with him before?"

"We barely did. He didn't follow the council's rules and so we sent many gods after him." Kristen said. "He corrupted their minds and made them kill eachother or try to kill us."

"I'm the only known person who survived Erebos's control." Techno said. "Other then Eden, himself."

Grian shrunk at the mention of his mistake.

"Grian was..." Mumbo started.

"I destroyed many servers before Techno trapped me." Grian explained. "All for Erebos's own pleasure."

"Who is Erebos? That can't be the name he's using." Mumbo asked.

"Dream Wastaken."
