Above is my schedule for April. ^^

Grian tries to steal from Mumbo.

TW: Homelessness, threats, theft

~

Grian jumped the fence and landed quietly on the other side before sneaking up to the house. He slid one of the windows open, not worrying becaus eof the gloves on his hands. As he hopped through the window and into the room, he looked around for things he could steal.

This house belonged to the Jumbo millionaires, and was just looking for a wallet. He didn't want to take any possibly family heirlooms, so he was just ignoring everything that wasn't cash or a card. He opened the door of the room, and walked across the hall to look through the other rooms.

Neither the second or third room had a wallet, so he was expecting to have to leave with just some cash.

He opened the fourth room, and saw the purse. He walked over and  began searching for a wallet. Then he felt the barrel of something pressed up against his head. He raised his hands to show he meant no harm.

"Give me one good reason I shouldn't call the police on you." He heard the voice say.

Grian stayed quiet as he leaned up.

"I'll return everything I've stolen and leave empty handed, just don't hurt me..." Grian said, before thinking. 'I really can't afford going back to jail or using my first aid kit on a gunshot wound.'

He tried to calm his nerves but his hands shook out of fear. Once the barrel was removed Grian stayed in that position waiting for the gunshot. Mumbo, the spoiled brat, walked around the bed and to the wall across from Grian.

"Theres a guest bedroom down the hall, if you want to stay. If not, I don't blame you."

Grian quickly scrambled to leave, dropping the cash he'd grabbed on his way out. He jumped the back fence, and caught his breath and calmed down once he got a good ways away from the rich side of town.

Grian climbed the fire escape, and into his apartment before closings the window behind him and laying down in his bed. He pulled his knees close to him as he wrapped the blanket around himself.

...

A week passed, and Grian was back to the same house, just more careful this time. Grian stepped into the guest bedroom, which was only recognizable to the blonde because of the perfection and too clean room.

He found himself slipping underneath the sheets, and smiling as the blankets caused a lot more warmth then back at the apartment.

Maybe he can lay down for just a few minutes?

...

Grian woke up in a panic. He woke up and looked around the room. He had fallen asleep in the Jumbo household.

It scared him.

He quickly got out of the bed, and to the guest room door. He opened the door and walked out quietly. He walked down the hall, making sure he knew where everyone was. To his suprise, he only saw Mumbo cooking breakfast.

"Would you like breakfast?" Mumbo asked, causing Grian to jump.

"No." Grian said firmly.

He stepped forward subconsciously but stopped himself from going any further.

"Are you certain? Its bacon and French toast." Mumbo said, looking up at him.

Mumbo could see the look of pure want on Grian's face, but also that Grian wasn't allowing himself to move.

Now in the light of early morning, he could examine the thief. The bags under his eyes showed he never had a good nights rest. He was shorter than Mumbo originally thought. The clothing was dirty and ripped in places. Along with him being skinny and his visible skin having cuts and scars.

Mumbo placed the plate of food on the counter, and took his own plate to the table. He started eating but kept an eye on the thief.

This thief wasn't the thieves his family prepared him for. He was scared, and had only grabbed cash the first time, and the second time he had found a bed and fell asleep.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the thief slowly make his way to the food. Then he started eating slowly. Halfway though, the thief stopped eating and backed away from the plate.

Worry flooded him, but Mumbo said nothing.
