Grian was a ghost.

After being found by X at the End Portal, Grian had followed the Admin around, only being invisible if other Hermits were nearby.

But Grian was always a sleepy ghost.

He would curl up near wherever X was working and take a nap, sometimes X would have to wake the ghost up and give him a piggy back ride to get him back to X's base.

Grian had transferred over to Season 5 as well, being asleep on the End Portal when X found him. Grian had became xyr roommate once more, but seemed even sleepier. The ghost was practically asleep for everything.

X began worrying about xyr ghost. Despite Grian not technically being a hermit, as hermits had to be voted in, he was still a friend of xyrs.

So X went to Mumbo and Cleo about it. Mumbo being a Vampire Hybrid and Cleo being a Zonbie Hybrid, they both had knowledge of souls, ghosts, and the undead.

Xe brought the pair back to xyr base where a sleepy Grian woke up. Grian was panicked at first, but eventually calmed down after hiding for an hour.

Cleo immediately recognized something was off with the ghost. He wasn't a new soul.

He was old.

Younger then what TFC had been like when she checked his soul, but still old.

"When did you die?" Cleo asked.

Grian hid more behind the admin as he thought. "I dunno..." I was thrown out and woke up when X found me...

"Were you an undead, vampire, or other type hybrid?" Mumbo asked.

Grian fiddled with the armor clasps on the back of X's armor. Fuzziness spread through him as he tried to remember.

"...I don't know..." Grian whimpered. Pain shot up his back as he tried to remember. Tears ran down his cheeks as the pain grew worse and worse, his cheeks burnt from the tears. "...Why don't I-?"

"Hey hey hey. It's okay to not remember. Most Hermits don't remember their past before Hermitcraft." X had turned around to calm down the ghost. Cleo stood on his right, with Mumbo on his left - guilt covering his features.

The ghost's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "...but the code is still there...?"

Cleo, Mumbo, and X shared a look. "What?"

"...the code... it should be..." Grian put a hand against his forehead. "The code is supposed to be... Why don't I remember...?"

X placed xyr hand on Grian's, pulling the hand away from the ghost's forehead. "Is the code supposed to make it so you remember?"

Grian blinked back tears and nodded. "Its... Code... It can't be deleted or... manipulated easily...? Why do I know this...?"

X immediately knew what happened to the ghost. Xe were ashamed it took so long...

"Gri, what do you think of the Watchers?" Xisuma asked.

As if a flood gate was open, the ghost shook and tears fell fast - burning him. He pressed a hand against his throat, his blue eyes flooded purple.

"They're evil." Grian didn't hesitate. It was as if it was common knowledge, which to the Hermits, it was. Most Servers would praise the God-like being, while the Hermits who remembered their pasts had been wronged by the Watchers. Those who didn't, had feelings that carried over from before their amnesia.
