Magic was normal in the world, but certain types were hated or looked down upon. Ice, Flames, and Enchantment were such.

Ice because of how much someone who controlled ice could control. Snow, winter weather, some water, along with ice itself. And so many of the famous ice magician's were mass murderers.

Flame because they were unpredictable and could hurt people a lot easier than other magicians.

Enchantment because their magic was basically useless, as enchantment tables exist.

While having two types of magic isn't common, the rarest type was people having 6.

Grian has two types of magic, Ice and Enchantment. So he was used to people looking down on him, or being afraid of him. So it wasn't uncommon for him to keep his magic hidden. That and his magic had developed a lot younger than normal.

...

Grian sat at his desk as his head laid on his folded arms. He hated school. Something light hit the back of his head, but he didn't move.

He felt the student next to him start to pull on his hair. Grian grabbed the arm and push it away from him.

"Grian Watcher! Detention after school." The teacher yelled, causing Grian to roll his eyes.

...

Grian sat at the desk again, glaring at the teacher at the front of the room.

Another student walked in, and tried to sit near the back of the class, but the teacher told him to sit next to Grian.

Before long, she went to her desk, and the pair started writing notes to eachother so they could pass time. The person next to him was named Mumbo, and he was there for swearing after stubbing his toe.

Grian almost laughed after learning that, but quickly regained his composure. The teacher left the room halfway through the hour, and Grian moved to sit on the desk.

"So your name is Mumbo?" Grian asked.

The ravenette nodded.

"And yours is?" Mumbo asked.

"Grian."

"The sun." Mumbo muttered.

Grian smiled while he raised an eyebrow.

"Correct." Grian said, leaning back against his arms.

"I haven't seen you around, are you new?" Mumbo asked, looking into Grian's blue eyes.

Mumbo's were a dark chocolate, his neat black hair was brushed back.

"Yeah. I moved a few weeks ago." Grian shrugged.

Grian looked to the door, and zoned out for a few minutes. The bell ringing caused him to snap back.

...

Grian and Mumbo had became great friends over the years, and both were invited to Hermitcraft, though at different times. Grian didn't use his magic, making most think he didn't have one.

Grian smiled as Tango played with the flames. Everyone was talking about their powers, and Tango was showing off his flames. Unlike most places, flames were an accepted magic here.

'Actually, I don't believe they have any magic they don't accept.' Grian thought.

"Tango-" Stress tried, elbowing Tango. Stress directed her eyes, and Tango's, to Grian. Tango instantly stopped playing with his magic.

"You can continue, Tango. It was actually really cool." Grian said.

"But," Tango started, "you don't have magic..."

Grian raised an eyebrow.

"No, I do." Grian said. Those around looked at him confused. Grian just sighed and focused on the water vapor in the air around Tango. Snow began to form and fall. Some formed a flower that Stress instantly fell in love with.

"I'm can control ice." Grian shrugged.

"Why haven't you ever told anyone!?" Impulse asked, resing his hand on the wizards shoulder.

"I just... Theres no practical use for ice outside of a snow biome." It was true. Magic formed ice was more resistant to heat, but other then that it was literally just ice. "And besides, it makes me cold when I use it."

Tango and Impulse stared at him in suprise. Usually, magic doesn't effect the user.

"You got the short end of the stick." Mumbo said, walking over with a hot chocolate and coffee.

"Haha, very funny." Grian said, rolling his eyes.

"Hey, shorter people have a shorter fuse, don't make Grian explode!" Tango said, smiling to them. Grian let out a chuckle and shook his head.
