"Your a living relic from the days of magic!" Shadow said. Grian's face contorted with confusion as he hid behind Doc.

"...What...?" Grian muttered.

"From the time of magic and monsters! When Gods lived within the world with no issue! From a time when Magic was revered!" Shadow said, walking towards the blonde whose panic was steadily increasing with each word.

But not because of the threat of Shadow, it was how the words weren't seeming like lies. It seemed... true. It was so weird and made him feel very exposed.

"Take one more step and I'll cut off your head." Doc's words weren't aimed at Grian, but they still made him flinch. But he was pretty certain anything would've caused the flinching.

"Fine, but make a decision, Grian. Join me and recollect your memories and become stronger, or stay with these freaks who cannot help you!" Shadow said, practically growling at the shaky blonde.

When Grian felt the hand on his shoulder, he couldn't hid the flinch and panic. The grip lessened, but Grian was turned around to look at Xisuma.

"Hey, you alright?" X asked. Grian hesitated before shrugging, and X examined his eyes. "Hey, they just want to get under your skin. It's not-"

"...X, I need to talk with someone..." Grian cut off the admin as his mind finally settled on his plan.

"What?" Xisuma asked.

Mumbo and Pearl approached them. Pearl had a knowing look, with Mumbo having a slight confused look.

"Let him go, X. It'll be fine." Pearl said, resting her hand on X's shoulder. Pearl looked to Grian and her concerned look was burning into Grian's mind. "It will be fine, right?"

Grian let his face show his uncertainty, but let a soft smile slip to Pearl. "If not I'll leave..."

"I don't understand?" Xisuma asked.

Grian sighed but forced a smile to them.

"Grian's going to talk to our older brother." Pearl said, frowning.

Mumbo's eyes widened as he realized, but Xisuma's were only filled with more confusion. Most likely, because he didn't even know Pearl and Grian were related. Let alone that they had an older brother.

"What? You both have an older brother?" Scar asked, approaching and standing near Doc.

"...Y-Yeah." Grian muttered.

Pearl's frowned softly to Grian. "Are you certain?"

"What's he going to do? Kill me?" Grian laughed slightly.

"Grian, he-" Pearl felt anger raise as she glared at Grian.

"Pearl, I'm your older brother. Trust me." Grian said, forcing a smile to her.

Her anger deflated as she shook her head. Grian wasn't a kid she needed to protect, he was the older brother and retired admin...

...

Grian let out a shaky breath as he stood in the grove. He was so close to a panic attack, but he knew it wasn't coming. He was just extremely nervous.

"You okay?" The false god asked, leaning against a tree across the grove.

Grian shifted his gaze up to the false god and almost scoffed.

"I'm alright." Grian muttered.

"Would you like a few minutes to calm down?" The False God asked.
