Grian flinched as the door his cell was opened. He knew that meant someone was hungry. But it was weird to not have them feed daily - but he never knew how long had passed. His last escape attempt had him get thrown into a room without light and windows.

Grian tried to hide in his wings, but even he knew it wasn't possible. The rainbow of color on his wings was a dead give away that he was there.

"Excuse me?" An unfamiliar voice asked. "Are you okay?"

Grian stayed as still as he could - his trembling of fear wasn't helping him at all - hoping the person would just getting over with.

"I'm not going to enter the room without permission, so don't worry about that. I just want to know if your okay." They said.

Grian peeked through his feathers at the person. They wore a lot of armor, and a weird helmet with a purple visor. The light from behind them was painful, but it wasn't effecting the armored man.

Perhaps he wasn't a vampire?

That's wishful thinking however.

Grian hesitiated before sitting up. His wings still hid most of him, but he could see through the feathers. The man seemed happier that he was awake.

The choked sound from his throat made him want to sob. The pain of hearing your own 'voice' was far worse with the fact he couldn't actually speak. Even just that sound spent spikes of pain through his throat and spine.

"Kid?" The man asked, taking a more worried stance. He could see the way the man tried to take a step into the room, before forcing himself to stay in the doorway, from behind the shelter of feathers.

I'm not a kid! He tried to say, but it only came out as a shaky, quiet, and weak, "Not kid!"

"Alright then, I'm sorry." The man still seemed worried, but Grian could tell that him being so short made the man think he was a kid. "Do you mind if I come any closer? I'd like to make sure your not injured."

Grian lost his tears fall before lowering his wings. If he didn't allow them to feed, he'd get hurt. The armored man hesitantly entered the room, but the worry in his body didn't go unnoticed by the blonde.

He didn't know why the man was concerned.

Was he expecting him to be too weak to sit up? It was painful and exhausting.

"I'm gonna pick you up, alright?" The helmeted man reached his arms out near Grian, but didn't touch Grian.

Grian nodded confused. Was he going to take him to be fed upon out in the feeding hall? It would be new to him, as only the Royals of the Vampire Clan was allowed to feed upon him.

He was a Royal Blooded Pheonix and normal Vampires would go crazy if they tasted it, so only Royal Vampires could feed upon him. He really hoped the new vampires of the clan were being forced to feed upon him, to kill them. He hated the fact this happened often.

The helmeted man picked Grian up and held him bridal style, before taking him out of the room. He kept his eyes closed because the light hurt, but tried to pay attention to all the sounds. It was going to be the only time in years to see the outside of that cell, so he was happy despite the abundance of noise that made him feel uncomfortable.

Grian was sat down upon a table, and he cracked his eyes open just a bit to see those closest to him.

On his left was a pair of darker skinned men, both having comically large eyes. The one on the right had a red bandanna and what seemed to be a plant blanket surrounding him. He had glowing yellow eyes, and a bright smile. The second of the pair wore a orange and white vest, and a black ball cap.
