Grian stared at Mumbo as Mumbo explained the Redstone machinery to Ren. Grian was smiling. Mumbo was talking with Ren, so he didn't even know what Mumbo was talking about but he was happy for some reason.

"- and your not listening to me." He heard Scar say.

He looked over at Scar confused. How long had he been staring at Mumbo?

"Uh... I'm sorry?" Grian asked, blushing from embarrassment.

Scar shook his head. Scar looked over to where Grian had been looking, before smiling to himself.

"Forget what I was saying." Scar said. "When you going to confess to Mumbo?"

Confusion was written all over his face, and he thought over things.

"Confess what? Mumbo already knows that I had no plan other than 'Mumbo for Mayor'." Grian said.

Scar looked to him confused and then opened his communicator. Grian checked his own communicator, but realized it was probably a private message.

"Grian, think about everything you like about Mumbo, and talk to me tomorrow." Scar said, standing up.

Grian sat there confused for a while, before shrugging and standing up to go to his mansion. As he arrived to his mansion, he decided to walk to his hobbit hole instead. He sat down thinking about what Scar said. Grian pulled out a book and quill to write down his thoughts.

Grian loved when Mumbo talked about things he loves. Especially when Mumbo got more comfortable and forgot his anxiety.

Mumbo was really encouraging for things Grian loved, and Mumbo tried helping whenever Grian got stumped.

Mumbo wasn't ever frustrated by his shenanigans and actually expected them. It made him much happier and allowed him to express his chaotic nature without a lot of anxiety about people judging him.

Mumbo went out of his way if he didn't hear from Grian in a few days, and no one ever did that for him.

Mumbo would offer his elytra or rockets if Grian ran out.

Mumbo was understanding and helped if Grian ever started freaking out, which Grian had gotten a lot better at dealing with.

Mumbo was kind, and understood Grian's rants.

Mumbo almost never got frustrated by Grian's lack of knowledge about Redstone.

Mumbo was okay with asking Grian for help.

Once, when Grian was working in the rain, Mumbo had noticed and stopped him and helped him through when he was sick. Actually, anytime Grian was sick enough for Mumbo to notice, Mumbo would help him throughout him being sick.

Grian sat there looking over all he had written. His heart was beating fats, but he barely noticed. What he was more taking in was the feelings of excitement, happiness, and a tinge of anxiety.

He had only felt these emotions this strong when he was dating Ellen.

Was...

Was Grian in love with Mumbo?

He loved Mumbo's personality and how happy he made him feel.

Could it be possible that Grian had fallen for the taller mustached man?

...

Mumbo opened the minecraft with a chest slightly confused. The only thing in it was a paper with a note scribbled on it. Based on the haste and messy writing, it Grian writing to him.

Can you come to my hobbit hole? We should talk. ^^

Mumbo smiled slightly anxious. Grian was almost never serious, and usually just sent puns, jokingly flirty notes, or random questions about Redstone. But he'd rather not leave Grian hanging.

Mumbo flew to Grian's base, before landing outside the hobbit hole. It had been a long time since he was there.

Mumbo opened the door, seeing Grian blushing as he wrote things down in his book. Mumbo smiled, though confused.

"Hey." Mumbo said, causing Grian to jump slightly.

Grian turned and smiled to Mumbo, before closing the book. He stood up and walked ot Mumbo before hugging him.

"You okay?" Mumbo asked, confused.

He placed his hand against Grian's forehead, and checked the blonde's temperature. Grian giggled, and Mumbo slightly frowned in confusion. Grian wasn't running a fever, that Mumbo could feel. Grian let go of Mumbo, and pulled Mumbo to the table. Mumbo sat down across from Grian, and Grian pushed the book to Mumbo.

Mumbo opened it and began to read. He wasn't entirely sure what it was, but realized halfway through that it was about him. Had Grian found this book and wanted to ask Mumbo why someone was complementing him? Would he slip up and tell Grian about his crush on the blonde?

He didn't take note of how the handwriting slowly got more chaotic and messy, just reading the notes to see if he knew who wrote the book.

Once he was done, he looked up to Grian. Then he remembered that he'd seen Grian writing in the book. He blushed a deep red, and looked at Grian's blushing face.

"W-What is this?" Mumbo asked, stuttering.

"Scar told me to think about all I liked about you..." Grian muttered. "...And I came to the realization I liked you more than I thought..."

Mumbo smiled slightly confused, as he didn't want to destroy their friendship if Grian didn't love him.

"...Mumbo..." Grian muttered. "Could you not hate me?"

Mumbo froze in suprise and confusion. Grian looked at him seriously and sighed as he gathered courage, something he'd only seen in Grian a few times.

"I love you Mumbo. I don't know how long I've loved you, but I know that I love you." Grian said.

Mumbo felt his heart flutter as he looked at Grian. Grian's nervous and slightly ashamed look made him concerned however.

"I love you too." Mumbo said, causing Grian to look up as he smiled softly.

"...Would you like to go on a date?" Grian asked, smiling to Mumbo.

"I'd love to."
