Grian loved his sweaters. That was almost a rule to the universe. And he was human.

Or so they thought.

Grian was sketching out some code ideas, trying to make it look like a rose. Hackers would get annoyed after trying to decipher every peice, so they would get too annoyed to gain access to the server.

"Besides, False, Joe, Zed, Grian, Beef, Hypno, TFC, xB, and Keralis are the humans of the server." Scar said.

Grian looked up at the say of his name. He raised an eyebrow as he realized Scar thought he was human. Mumbo looked to Grian uncomfortably, and Grian shook his head. He'd do it himself.

Standing up, he stretched and yawned. He took his sweater off, revealing the black, fuzzy, and slightly light blue dotted patches of skin. He smirked before walking up behind Scar.

He tapped on Scar's shoulder before asking his question.

"Now, I may be wrong, but did the skulk suddenly leave my body?" Grian asked.

Everyone stared at him in suprise.

"...your a hybrid?" Scar asked, blinking confusedly.

"Yeah. Part mix of a skulk hybrid."

"How? Skulk aren't in going to be game for the servers for half a year!" Zed walked closer and stared at the large patch on his left shoulder.

"Skulk aren't native to this realm. The skulk grows when xp is gained, while others use bone meal or don't grow. The different mechanics are different for a reason." Grian shrugged.

"Does that mean you have different health systems?" Zed asked, ghostly brushing his hand over Grian's fuzz.

Grian shrugged before lightly pushing into Zed's hand.

"Uh? I guess. If I have over certain levels, I heal faster. But its not like I have extra health, its just that my xp is drained to heal faster."

Mumbo moved stand beside Grian. The question in his eyes was soft enough he understood what he wanted.

"I wear my sweater and jeans over it because it's denim, cotton, and silk materials that don't irritate it." Grian explained. "The fuzz is soft but only sensitive to some other things. It only becomes more sensitive if I have a lot of xp. I keep my xp low so it doesn't effect me much. If you want to touch it you can."

"Could you theoretically corrupt a block?" Scar asked.

"Its not- Its more of transformating a block, but yes." Grian pulled a stone block out of his inventory. (...of course he had a piece of stone. He had a ton of random blocks in his inventory.)

Grian kept an eye on his xp as he made the block turn. The comms on his wrist showed the xp, health, hunger, level, armor, quick inventory, and effects (though he had none other then the resistance given by Doc's beacon.)

The block was mostly changed, but Grian didn't dare go any further. His xp was low, but not too low that it would start effecting him. (He didn't really feel like passing out or losing control.)

"If I had more xp I could continue changing the block." Grian shrugged as he tossed the block over to Scar.

Mumbo stared at him slightly concerned. He smiled to him to reassure him.

"Wait, did Mumbo know?" Xisuma asked.

"Y-Yeah. I've known since we were kids."

"Oh wait, how old are you guys? I don't think we ever asked." Ren asked.

Grian snickered as Mumbo stared at the heavily interesting ground.

"By your terms, I'm 27 and Bumbo is 24." Grian smirked.

"By our terms?" Zed asked.

"Skulk hybrids and Bloodstone Vampires age slower then others." Grian shrugged. "So it's just the process of changing our actual ages to what you-"

"I'm sorry, Vampire?" Scar stared at Mumbo with suprise.

Mumbo hung his head in shame, but hummed a yes.

"If you were to go by human years instead of changing it, what would it be?" Xisuma asked.

"Uh, for me? Maybe like- ...gimme a second."

"Your 5,022 in Sculk time, but 5,211 in Bloodstone Vampire time." Mumbo reminded. "In Bloodstone Vampire, I'm 4,632. In Sculk, I'm 4,464."

"Oh yeah!" Grian smiled.

Everyone's jaw dropped as they stared at them in suprise. These two, were older then most known civilizations.

"I'm sorry, what's the configuration units?" Iskall asked.

"In sculk 1 year for sculk is 186 years to the you. For Bloodstone Vampire, 1 year is 193 years." Grian said. "I don't like math but the conversion rates aren't that bad. Especially compared to Warden conversions..."

"There's Warden hybrids?" Tango asked, voice wavering with slight fear.

"Yeah. 7 years to them is 9,653 to you guys." Mumbo said, frowning. "They can live really long, and most don't even have any knowledge of passing time..."

"It would be kind of sad, if the Warden Hybrids didn't treat everyone below them." Grian huffed. Zed stared at the sculk as the blue freckle-like marks glowed cyan.

"It glowed!" Scar pointed out.

"Uh, yeah. It glows whenever Sculk hybrids feel strong emotions, usually the color and shade of color can determine what it is."

"Were you born in the Sculk dimension of this one? You seem to know a lot about it." Doc asked. Hums of agreement echoed through the other Hermits.

"I lived there until I was 19 by skulk terms. Me and Mumbo met when Mumbo's parents brought him to the Sculk Realm as ambassadors from the Vanilo, or Vampire, Realm. Honestly our exact ages at the time were confusing, but I was 6 in Sculk time."

"Bloodstone vampires didn't really have birthdays so I don't really know, but I think I was 7?" Mumbo smiled weakly.

"We just say he was 6."

"Why did you leave?" Xisuma asked.

"A former friend tried to kill me after manipulating and abusing me for a year." Grian shrugged. "And I had no ties to that realm. They were either dead or didn't care about the abuse I went through."

"J, Taurtis, and Dom had already left, but to this realm, while Grian came to Vanilo." Mumbo said.

"Wait, back to the abuse, attempted murder, manipulation, and dead people. What?" Ren asked.

Grian's eyes were blank as he looked at Ren. "My childhood was hell."

"...it sounds like it." Impulse said, staring at him with a heavy stare of concern.

"I went to therapy for 1,500 years in Vanilo. I'm fine." Mumbo gave him a swift glare at his words. Grian Grian before speaking. "Most of the time, I'm fine. Some days are worse, but I can deal with it. It's been over 5,000 years since then for me."
