Newbie (Bucky x Reader)

A day out

You got in the car and started blasting music as loud as your speakers would allow. You missed this freedom. You knew Daisy was safe with the team for a few hours, and peeled out of the parking lot headed to the mall first. You wanted to print off a bunch of photos in different sizes. You had no doubt that Tony probably could do it with great quality, but you wanted to take the time to do it. You stopped to grab a Starbucks and sipped at it as you drove yourself to the mall.
When you walked in, you took a deep breath and looked around deciding to do a little more shopping than usual. It wasn't like you didn't have the money. You first headed to Victoria's secret and picked out a few new thongs all in different colors of blues that you knew would match bra's that you already had. You stopped to get some more of your favorite perfume at the next store over and smiled shyly to yourself, wondering if Bucky would like it. You made your way to the book store and picked out a few books for yourself, but a bunch of books for Bucky that were all outer space and science related that you knew he would appreciate. You found the packages were a bit heavy, and carried them out to the trunk before heading back in to grab some more albums, before heading to the photo store and picking out a bunch of different frames, noting their sizes before going to printing out different photos of Daisy, Maria, Fury, and several of you and Bucky together. You wanted to remember this romance and love for the rest of your life. You were excited to get home and to put them up. You stopped at a home hardware and got a bunch of nails and a hammer, determined that this was all going up on your walls today. Your favorite photo was still when you and Bucky where he was gazing at you lovingly and you were laying back on the picnic blanket. You had a few where he was kissing you, or you were gazing at each other, but you felt his love in the one photo.
"You're a lucky girl" the saleswoman commented to you as you picked up the photos.
"I know" you flushed. "I really am, I think" you beamed and started heading back to the car. You put the more precious parcels in your back seat and sat back for a moment. You were enjoying your freedom for a moment. You hadn't been out in weeks. You quickly texted Tony and Bucky and told them you were going to miss lunch; you were still out. Tony was satisfied with that, but Bucky only wrote he would see you soon. You knew he knew you well enough. You drove out to your special spot and parked your car and looked out at the scenery.

You had the music turned up on your phone as you watched the city hustle and bustle from your spot. You heard a motorcycle from behind you and smiled to yourself. Bucky suddenly parked in front of you, where you were sitting on your trunk and you grinned at him.
"I knew where you were headed" he smiled shyly.
"I needed a reminder" you smiled. "It's been so long so I've been out here it feels like"
"You have a fun time shopping?" he looked in the back seat.
"I did, I bought a few things" you sipped at your second coffee and he jumped up on the trunk with you. You smiled at him, and leaned into him and he put his arm around you.
"Anything I would be interested in?" he quirked an eyebrow, giving you a kiss on top of your head.
"Some new thongs" you looked at him and gave him a flirty wink.
"Well, you did have a few to replace" he chuckled.
"I figure you might destroy a few more" you admitted. "I'm almost looking forward to it"
"So am I" he chuckled.
"I also printed out a bunch of photos to put up on the walls. Stevie was right, my walls are too bare. I wanted the room to look more like home for us" you looked at him shyly.
"For us, huh?" he smiled broadly at you.
"Well, you do need to bring more of your stuff over" you nodded resolutely.
"Are you hinting at something" he licked his top lip and smiled at you again.
"Maybe, I'm thinking about something" you admitted.
"I like where this train of thought is going" he kissed the top of your head.
"Can you help me hang up some photographs after we get home?" you looked at him innocently.
"Of course, doll" he grinned and kissed the top of your head again. "Anything for you"
"I bought some new records" you sipped at your coffee again. "And my favorite perfume"
"You always smell like flowers" he chuckled.
"I'm sure I didn't when you saved me from that mess of a mission, or when you brought me home from the hospital room" you gave him a sad smile.
"It wasn't so bad" he gave a half smile. "It was worth the smell, you were alive. I was just relieved"
"Me too" you admitted softly. "I'll have to talk to doctor Joy about it though, its still haunting me, the memories"
"You took down a pretty big base on your own, you had to make a lot of decisions to stay alive" he nodded.
"It still bothers me" you whispered.
"I know" he pulled you close. "But at least you haven't been having those nightmares"
"That's because with you, I feel safe" you gave him a smile. "When I fall asleep, and when I wake up, I know I'm safe with you" you kissed his cheek and he flushed a bit.
"Tony showed me some of the pictures he bought off the paparazzi. I gotta admit, you looked pretty hot" he chuckled.
"Where were they taken?" you raised an eyebrow.
"Everywhere we went. I got him to print a few for me" he admitted. "A lot of them I was just holding you, but there's a few cute ones too" he grinned and took out his phone. "He sent them to me too" he started scrolling through his photos. He stopped at one where it was a close up of the two of you, and you flushed being able to see the love and adoration in both of your faces as you gazed at one another. "This one is my favorite" he admitted. "Pepper had an extra frame, and I put it up in my room"
"I like this one too" you smiled.
"If we don't hurry, you'll be late for supper" he warned you after you sat in silence for a little while.
"I'll follow you home" you kissed him softly on the lips before sliding off of the trunk. He jumped off and pulled you close.
"Wait for me to come help you bring everything in" he kissed you softly again. You gave a nod and a smile and got into the car.
