Newbie (Bucky x Reader)

By lunch time, you had the schematics memorized, and looked at the game plan over and over again just to be sure. Bucky studied them over your shoulder and pointed out different routes in case you needed another exit. You knew he was trying to help in his own way. The team members that had planned on going out that day weren't back yet, so the table was fairly empty. You saw that Happy made fruit salad and sandwiches again, and smiled at him knowingly while you ate as much as you could. You loved that he knew some of your favorite foods, and tended to drift towards them from time to time.
"How did memorizing the schematics go?" Tony asked you pointedly.
"Pretty well, I understand what room I need to be in, and all the exits as well as the way in. I know the data is most important. I'll wait on comms for Wanda and Nat to tell me when its okay to upload the virus across all their servers" you gave a small smile. "Then its more of a kaboom for all their data" you gave an evil smirk.
"That's my girl" Bucky leaned over and gave you a kiss on the cheek.
"We are going to go over the game plan one more time tomorrow, Steve and I. You should be updated by the end of the day in case we have to change anything around" Tony gave a satisfied smile.
"How is your date day going with Pepper?" you looked at both of them.
"Wonderful, we don't get enough alone time with how much we both work" Pepper answered for him.
"What are your plans for the afternoon?" Sam looked at you with a smirk.
"I think we are going to watch a movie" you looked to Bucky who nodded as he filled up your plate. "I feel like a documentary"
"There's one on Mars I saw on the National Geographic" Steve offered.
"That sounds perfect" Bucky grinned. "We could watch it in the bedroom or in the living room"
"Living room, I like that there's more room to sit if anyone wants to join us" you smirked knowing that he was still thinking about the offer to have a shower together. You wanted to tease him a little bit longer before it came to that. You saw him pout a little bit, but hid it quickly.
"I'll join you, as long as you don't give me any more cavities" Sam smirked at you both.
"It sounds interesting, I'll join too" Steve decided. You heard Bucky give a small groan and you giggled, and leaned over kissing his cheek quickly.
"Come on handsome, its going to be a fun afternoon. You love space" you reminded him.
"He wants private time" Loki grinned looking over. "If you want to know so much about other planets we could always take you to some of them"
"Father would be against Asgaurd" Thor spoke softly.
"What he doesn't know won't kill him, unfortunately" Loki replied easily. "Mother would love to meet Y/N"
"I think that's a bit too far from home for comfort, although I appreciate the offer" you smiled at Loki. "I'll watch my documentaries for now"
"Its too bad, you would love some of the worlds I could take you to" Loki smirked purposely at Bucky who frowned a bit. "Worry not soldier, I would bring her back in one piece" he winked.

When you got back to the living room you immediately snuggled into Bucky while Steve sat on your other side and Sam took one of the chairs. Steve took the controller for all of you, and put on the documentary. You found yourself nuzzling into Bucky a bit more than usual, just enjoying the physical contact. He leaned over and kissed you on top of your head while the show started. Once it did start the four of you were watching it closely. Daisy, was sleeping on her doggie bed, and let out a bit of a snore making you giggle. Bucky gave a smile, and looked over as Alpine jumped up onto his other shoulder you weren't occupying. He gave him a few scratches and went back to paying attention to the show. He had his arm over your shoulder, but you reached up your hand and intertwined your fingers with his and nuzzled in just a little more for good measure. You couldn't imagine being more in love with someone in your entire life. You had never seen this coming, always thinking each mission would be your last. Now here you were, sitting and just enjoying life with your Bucky, and a few members of the team that made you feel complete. You thought back to the first time you met Bucky, and how he had just taken your breath away with the one look and smile. You knew in a way you were done then. When he told you about Alpine, you remembered how happy you were for him. You thought about how he had volunteered to come meet you, and how he had bugged Steve to come on that first mission you had with him. How things had changed so much since then. You thought about how he took care of you after your mission where you had gotten so severely hurt, and how patient he was with you. You spared him a glance, and couldn't help but wonder how you had gotten so lucky to be with such an amazing man, with the most beautiful and kind eyes. You loved how he had crashed all your girls nights so far, just to have an excuse to spend more time with you. You wondered if that would be an ongoing thing, or if he would have a guys night once in a while. You wanted to make sure that he still had time with his friends too. Without thinking, you turned your head and kissed him softly on the chest. You were only half paying attention to the documentary, but more stuck in your head, wondering how you had been so blessed with such an amazing love.
"That was pretty good" Steve's voice broke your musings.
"Yeah, I'd watch that again. It was interesting" Sam nodded in agreement.
"It certainly was fascinating" Bucky agreed.
"Is there another one?" you asked innocently.
"I think so" Steve went through the list and found another one to watch and hit play. You relaxed into Bucky, and closed your eyes as the show started. You weren't that tired, but you were more relaxed than usual.
