Newbie (Bucky x Reader)

First date

You took the time to make sure that your makeup was absolutely perfect, highlighting with reds and golds. You did a black winged eyeliner, and added red lipstick to set off the perfect pout. You criticized yourself in the mirror before putting on your red blouse and looking again to make sure that you didn't miss anything. Your mascara did make your lashes look a little longer, thankfully. You put in your tear drop earrings, since you didn't have much for jewelry, and added the tear drop necklace to go down between your breasts. It wasn't real diamonds, you never saw the reason to buy something that expensive, but it looked pretty. You added a little bit of lip gloss to make your lips shine, and could hear the boys in the bedroom talking softly among themselves. You put on your heeled boots, and double checked in the mirror again to make sure you looked as good as possible.
When you opened the door, Bucky and Steve turned around at the same time. Steve flushed a little, and Bucky's jaw dropped with a small blush.
"Oh doll, you look beautiful" he finally got out. "How can so many men have missed out on a chance for a date with you"
"They're idiots" Steve smiled at you. "You look great doll"
"Come on gentlemen, we don't want to be late for lunch" you gave a smile, feeling a flush on your cheeks from all the compliments. Bucky closed your computer and put it back on your desk while Steve opened your bedroom door for you to go out.
"Thank you" you smiled and walked out.

"Meow, look at you!" Nat smiled as you walked into the room. "Where are you going all dolled up?" she asked.
"Out" you gave a shy smile.
"Who is the lucky guy?" Wanda asked, already knowing the answer.
"That would be me" Bucky grinned ear to ear. Sam looked over in shock, while Scott grinned.
"Game night just got more interesting" Tony smiled. "Don't fuck up your date, I'm not losing an Avenger"
"It can be a friend date, Tony" Pepper admonished him.
"If she looks like that, it isn't a friend date" Loki grinned.
"I can dress how I please" you shrugged, taking the offered food from Bucky.
"Again, don't fuck up" Tony whispered.
"Language" Steve chirped up all the sudden, making a few people chuckle.
"Where are you two going?" Clint asked out of curiosity.
"A walk" Bucky grinned.
"Oh, that's not too bad" Clint shrugged.
"Are you ready for your first mission with us?" Bruce changed the subject, and you were grateful.
"I'm excited actually. Its something I know like the back of my hand" you gave a wan smile.
"You'll have to wear your Avengers cat suit" Tony warned you, and you looked at him confused. "We already made it, it'll be in your closet by tonight. It's a light blue color"
"Thank you" you smiled shyly. "Does it have pockets?"
"Yes, we put in a few. You'll be able to move fluidly, and you will also get your new holsters. Nat will show you where to gear up after breakfast" Bruce gave a smile. "We just need the data from inside the base, it should be a quick in and out"
"I'll be watching in case we get company" Clint promised.
"I've heard you have eyes like a hawk" you winked at him and he grinned.
"That's why I'm Hawkeye" he chuckled.
Conversation went around the table easily after that. You kept to yourself, trying to just soak in the way the team conversed with one another. Scott and Sam seemed to be the jokesters, while Peter seemed to be pretty serious for a kid. You liked the way that Pietro kept bringing him back into the conversation and getting him to talk about school and stuff. Peter brought up he was going to have to head back to his Aunt May's apartment for the week, and Happy volunteered quickly to take him. Pietro asked if he could go for the ride, so they could talk video games while on the way there. It was endearing to be honest. Vision seemed engrossed in a conversation with Thor and Loki while Wanda just smiled at them, eating peacefully. Bucky and Steve would talk once in a while to each other, Bucky tried to bring you into the conversation, but you were too nervous to be honest. You saw that Pepper and Tony were talking about Stark industries, while Bruce and Nat were just giving each other loving looks while they ate. You fed Daisy under the table, trying to be discrete as possible. She ended up taking the small handful of chicken you gave her over to her bed in the living room to eat it. You smiled lovingly at her watching her go as her tail wagged the whole way.
"You ready doll?" Bucky whispered to you after a while. You had gotten so lost in your thoughts you forgot about the date.
"Don't worry about Daisy, I've got her" Steve grinned looking at you.
"I just need to get my jacket, thank you Steve" you nodded and took your plate to the kitchen. He quickly followed behind you heading to his room. You went into the bathroom to fix your lipstick and check your makeup before grabbing your phone and wallet putting them into your pocket of your jacket. You zipped it up so that the material wouldn't fly too much with the wind and grabbed your door handle only to find Bucky standing on the other side already in his dark jeans, white Henley, a black leather jacket and boots holding out a bouquet of roses. You flushed immediately, not used to getting flowers at all.
"They're beautiful" you gushed taking in their scent. "I love them, thank you Bucky"
"Not as beautiful as you doll" he winked and held out his arm for you to take. You put the flowers on your little table, wondering if there was an extra vase somewhere you could borrow. You'd love to make sure they lived for a while. You took his arm and he led you outside to his Harley. He put a helmet on you first before doing it for himself and hopped on waiting for you to get on. You jumped on the back and scooted forward putting your arms around him. "Are you nervous doll?" he asked over his shoulder.
"A little bit" you bit your bottom lip.
"Don't worry, I've got ya" he revved the engine to life and peeled out of the parking lot.
