When you woke up in the morning, the light was shining in the windows down on your face. Your head was rising and falling with Bucky's breathing, and you snuggled in a little closer giving him a quick kiss on the chest. You were surprised he was still there, he normally went for a run every morning. You heard him have a light snore and tried not to giggle, wondering how you missed out on that before. It was cute. You turned a bit in the bed and reached for your cell phone and saw it was almost breakfast time, and felt surprised you slept in so late.
"Bucky" you shook him slightly, but he didn't even seem to register it. You crawled up and kissed him softly on the lips and felt him respond almost immediately as he grabbed you and pulled you onto him more. You winced as the IV pulled at your skin, but didn't mind it too much. He quickly deepened the kiss and when he pulled back, he had a huge grin on his face.
"Good morning beautiful" his voice was deep from sleep still.
"Good morning handsome" you leaned forward and gave him a soft, chaste kiss on the lips. "We are about to be late for breakfast"
"I slept in?" he chuckled, and rubbed his hands up and down your sides. "I haven't done that in ages" he admitted.
"Well, it was a night to remember" you flushed a bit, and he leaned up to kiss you softly again.
"No regrets?" he asked gently.
"Absolutely not" you shook your head and paused looking at him worriedly. "You?"
"None" he shook his head. "I'm the luckiest man alive" he chuckled. "You didn't play that song for me" he reminded you.
"I'll play it tonight, I promise" you bit your bottom lip as his hands continued to travel up and down your sides, pausing for a moment around your chest and at your hips.
"It's a date" he sat up and kissed you again. "I better go get changed before I take you to breakfast". You scrambled off of his lap, wondering if his morning erection was from you or just normal for him. Daisy yawned from the end of the bed as he rolled out the other side and went for the balcony door. Alpine got up and followed him quickly while you grabbed the IV bag off the pole and just walked into the closet with it. You looked in the mirror as you got undressed and saw there were kiss marks along your neck and collarbone, but also on your breasts from last night and flushed a deep red. You changed quickly into a pink summer dress and put your hair into a pony tail then added Bucky's sweater on top looking at the jewelry box again with a sense of pride. You saw the earrings stayed in during last nights activities and smiled to yourself. You put your favorite red converse sneakers and headed out to put your phone, word search, head phones, and a pen in your pocket thinking that you had plans for today. You felt like you had a bit more energy, and felt proud of the progress. You put the bags back on the IV pole and started wheeling it behind you as you headed for the door.
"Come on Daisy" you called to her, and she jumped off the bed, quickly following you. Bucky was waiting outside the door, and took your hand and held it proudly as you both walked towards the breakfast table. You only had to pause for a moment once because you felt a wave of nausea before you both continued on.
"I'll take Daisy out after breakfast" he winked at you.
"I can try" you offered.
"Not until that thing is off of you doll" he looked pointedly at the IV bags and you gave a soft nod.

"Someone slept in" Sam grinned as you and Bucky came in.
"Finally, I thought I was going to have to send someone to make sure you were still alive" Tony grinned.
"Not like you to miss a morning run Buck, you feeling okay?" Steve looked up a little worriedly.
"Just had a good sleep" Bucky smiled and pulled out your chair for you.
"How are you feeling this morning?" Bruce looked at you pointedly and you heard Wanda and Loki giggle a little.
"Much better, I barely needed to stop to get here. I'm feeling a lot stronger" you flushed. "Get outta my head you two" you whispered to them and Wanda bit her bottom lip while Loki just grinned even more.
"Its not your head I was in this morning pet" Loki gave a wink and you blushed even more and you saw Bucky had a slight flush across his cheeks as he sat forward on his chair and he started filling your plate before his own, then handing it down to Doctor Cho.
"We are going to do some more tests today, but you are looking a lot better. I like there's color in your face" Doctor Cho told you softly. "Just one more day, and we can likely take that IV out tomorrow"
"Thank goodness. Its like walking around with a new, unwanted appendage" you took a bite of your scrambled eggs and sighed gratefully.
"Looks like I get some spar time with sexy legs soon if that happens" Sam grinned at you.
"After I'm done with her training" Nat warned him. "She needs her stamina up first" she reminded him.
"I am looking forward to going for runs again" you admitted softly. "Taking Daisy out on my own..." you drifted off.
"I'm thinking tonight should be a movie night. Newbie is still down for the count, but she can join us. Hell, she gets to choose" Tony smirked down at you and you danced slightly in your chair.
"Really?! I can choose?" you asked excitedly and heard a few chuckles around the room.
"Of course, what do you want to watch?" Pepper gave a kind smile.
You bit on your bottom lip and smiled secretly to yourself before shyly speaking "I'd love to watch the Greatest Showman again. It's a musical, but its so beautiful"
"Alright, right after supper, we will all come to the living room and watch it" Steve smiled.
"It makes me cry, its such a beautiful love story" you sighed happily.
"We are looking forward to it Princessa" Pietro smiled at you, and Peter nodded in agreement.
"Aunt May saw it once, and said it was really good" Peter added.
You looked around the table, and saw that Nat, Wanda, and Vision were suited up and you looked at them curiously.
"Its just a recon mission to a dead base" Wanda whispered to you. "We will be fine" she reassured you and you nodded to yourself.
"I bought you some new magazines" Pepper handed them down the table to you. "What's your plan for today?"
"Tests with Doctor Cho, and then I was going to go sit on the swing outside again for a while. Thank you for these" you gave a soft smile.
"Once the IV is off, you should start small with exercise. Small walks, some pool time, but take your time before you start running or going back in the gym again" Doctor Cho spoke up from beside you.
"I'm feeling a lot stronger today" you admitted with a smile on your face. "Even if I can just walk a lap outside the lake I'd be happy"
"No stairs yet" she shook her head.
"After tomorrow?" you quirked an eyebrow.
"Give yourself time to heal Y/N, you went through a lot" Steve spoke up gently. "Even when I got knocked on my back, it took me a month to get back on my feet. That's with the super soldier serum" he admitted.
"Pop's would have me back on recons by the end of the week" you smirked.
"He's not in charge here, we are. We will let you know when your ready for recons again" Tony shook his head. You flushed a bit, now knowing you would have to focus more on making yourself better as quickly as possible so you wouldn't miss out on any missions. You concentrated on your food, eating slowly and trying to enjoy your food as much as possible. You thought of the protein bars and were suddenly even more thankful for the food. Doctor Cho finished before you and came over to switch out the bags for you and you gave her a small smile before standing up and going to put your dishes in the sink. You prided yourself internally for doing it for yourself and went back to sit down for a moment to wait for everyone to finish.
"Time to go for your tests" Doctor Cho put her hand on your shoulder and internally you cringed, slightly worried about the results. Without thinking you leaned forward and kissed Bucky on the cheek before standing up and following her slowly with the magazines in your hand. He looked at you with a big goofy grin on his face.
"I'll see you in a bit doll" his eyes glittered with promise and you felt your cheeks heat up a little.
