Newbie (Bucky x Reader)

Newspapers

"On your left" Steve called out as he passed you again this morning.
"Come on you fossil! You can do it more often than that" Sam grumbled slightly from beside you. You felt a hand brush across your ass and you giggled knowing it was Bucky. "Did you see Maria last night?" he looked to you and shook his head.
"I think she should just keep the dress" you giggled. "She looked hot"
"She was beautiful. I got a few pictures with her, I'm hoping they are in the paper. I'd love for my sister to see the beautiful woman I've been seeing" Sam grinned.
"They were pretty busy with those camera's last night" you blushed. "It was a bit of a surprise"
"Tried to warn you" Sam smirked at you.
"I know, I just wasn't expecting them to still be on the grounds so long after the party was finished" you admitted. "I was expecting less"
"They might try getting on the grounds over the next few days to catch you training" Sam warned you. "They did that to me too"
"What did Tony do?" you looked at him.
"What Tony always does, if he doesn't approve of the photos he buys them or sues the photographer for trespassing onto private property.
"On your left" Steve ran by again, and you felt another touch on your butt.
"Do you think Happy will have the newspaper?" you asked as you and Sam finished your fourth lap.
"The man probably has several this morning. He likes to keep on top of things" he grinned.
"Lets get some water and coffee" you skipped towards the balcony stairs and Sam immediately followed you up. Daisy wanted to stay on the grounds and wait on Bucky this morning.

"Good morning Happy" you came into the kitchen and saw Happy had breakfast started, but seemed to be focused on several newspapers on the kitchen counters. He had them all open to last night's announcement and half bent over reading them all.
"Good morning sunshine" he looked up with a smile. "They got some good pictures, but the rumors are already spreading" he turned around to go back to the eggs that were cooking. Sam passed you a bottle of water and you drank it down quickly before you went to go make your coffee. Happy was already back at the newspapers and looking at them worriedly.
"There's more papers being delivered shortly. I'll need Sam to take over on the eggs while I grab them when they arrive" Happy looked at Sam specifically who nodded in understanding. You sipped at your coffee and walked over to look at some of the newspapers. You saw different photo's of you and the team. There were several of you and Bucky looking at each other lovingly. There were a few of you and your dad, and you cringed knowing he was probably having an aneurism over that. You got to the end of the counter and almost spit out your coffee. It was a photo of you and Bucky snuggling in bed sound asleep. The article stated that you two had already moved in together and were secretly engaged according to rumors. They also pointed out how your dress flared out, and they were wondering if it was to hide a baby bump.
"Happy..." you looked to him with shock evident on your face.
"I was hoping you wouldn't get to that one yet. Tony is on top of it. He's already planning to sue for taking pictures from the private area of the complex which is strictly forbidden to anyone outside of the team. You didn't look pregnant, you looked fantastic" he started talking really fast. You rubbed a hand over your stomach and looked down worriedly. Sam came over and started reading the article and shook his head.
"That's just a bunch of bullshit. They cant prove you two moved in together, that's no one business" he shrugged. "The rest they can just go suck it" he decided. You went and started reading the articles more closely. They all announced you and Bucky as a couple, and that you had started dating after you had already joined the team. They kept to the story that the team gave, thankfully. You saw that there indeed were a few photos of Maria with Sam, and pointed them out quickly. Sam just grinned from ear to ear. You pulled out your phone and started singing "Your song" by Ellie Goulding and Happy grinned to himself as he went back to making breakfast. You continued to sing for a while, until you heard the door bell and Sam went and took over breakfast while Happy went to the door, and came back a few minutes later with a stack of newspapers. You and the team seemed to be on the front of every single one as he laid them out of the counter and going straight to the news articles. You flushed seeing that the photo of you and Bucky in bed were in a few of the newspapers. You knew your dad would be freaking out at this point. You noticed that both of you looked serene in the photo, it must have been a huge risk to take the picture. You could tell they took it from the balcony, and did a major close up. Someone must have made a lot of money taking that photo.
"Most of them are keeping to the story that we gave them, but they are saying that you two are further in the relationship than we are saying too" Happy announced before he turned back to Sam and took over cooking again.
"I kind of like the picture of us sleeping together" Bucky announced himself coming in. "It's a good thing we didn't sleep naked last night" he flushed a bit.
"I don't think we can take that risk for a while" you blushed. "They were on our balcony"
"I've doubled the amount of guards on the grounds at your fathers request" Tony came in and picked up some of the newspapers. "Pregnant, seriously?" he sighed. "You looked phenomenal. Don't worry about it"
"They think we are having a baby?" Bucky wrapped his arms around you and looked at you seriously.
"Apparently because of the dress" you shrugged.
"You looked so beautiful, I would never have thought of that" he glared a bit at the newspaper and went over to start reading them. You sighed a little at the loss of personal contact.
"Well, I'm definitely suing" Tony decided. "You should be able to sleep without worrying about someone coming on the balcony. Thank God you weren't up to your normal activities last night"
"We were, we just did it in the closet" Bucky spoke offhandedly. "I was worried they were watching us"
"You weren't wrong" Sam bit his lip.
"You only have to worry for a few days about these photos, then you'll be on a mission for a while" Tony reminded you. "Have you two figured out all the code words and sentences yet?"
"We are working on them today" you spoke up.
"Stay in the living room for that, just for today" Tony decided for you. "I want to make sure there's a few sweeps of the property before we relax a bit. I'll have that done by the end of the day" he promised.
"It wouldn't be a surprise if she was pregnant the way they go at it" Clint came in the room to get some coffee. "It took less time for me and Laura. Mind you she wasn't on birth control, and I was only using condoms"
"We have to use condoms on the mission" you reminded him.
"Be careful, those can break" Clint grinned.
"Pop's would kill me" you shook your head.
"More like he would target Bucky" Clint chuckled and looked at the newspapers. "Worlds best assassin versus worlds best spy. Now that's a book I'd read"
"We aren't that bad" you flushed a deep red finally coming to terms to the conversation.
"No, you are. Its not a bad thing" Sam shrugged. "You love each other. Its going to happen. I would appreciate the uninterrupted sleep"
"That's coming soon, the renovations start on Monday" Tony grinned. "As soon as they leave"
"How are we getting to our mission?" you looked up curiously as Bucky came back to you and wrapped his arms around you again.
"I'm flying you out to where we have your new car waiting on you. There's going to be GPS already put in, so all you have to do is follow it to your new home" Clint let you know.
"We will need to bless our new house" Bucky whispered in your ear.
"Not on the main floor" Tony shook his head. "I don't need that image in my brain. Only the upper floor"
"Breakfast is ready" Happy announced, and you got up and Bucky took your hand leading you into the dining room where most of the team was already seated and looking at different newspapers.
"We even made the papers in Europe" Pietro announced as you sat down, and Bucky pushed in your chair.
"Do those say I look pregnant too?" you pouted.
"No, most of these are sticking to the facts, and not those outlandish thoughts" Wanda promised.
"Humans are so petty" Loki sighed. "She looked ravishing" he pointed it out to Thor who nodded, digging into his food. "You two at least looked peaceful sleeping"
"That's a great picture, just really creepy that someone took it and neither of us noticed" you admitted.
"At least you were dressed" Peter was blushing.
"I have Bucky bear to thank for that" you grinned and leaned over giving him a kiss on the cheek that he smiled for. He filled up your plate again, and you waited for him to finish filling his before you started eating. Happy came over and refilled your coffee and ruffled your hair.
"We should put one of the pictures of the whole team up in the living room" Pepper decided.
"I would like one some of these for our room" you smiled softly. "I like that it feels so much like a home" you continued to eat.
"You'll have more wall space soon, a sitting room where you can put up as many pictures as you want" Tony smiled.
"We are going to decorate a little bit, by putting in some furniture for you both. We will put the photos in the sitting room that you have up, and we are extending your closet" Pepper smiled at you both.
"Wait until you get your suite. You also have a small kitchenette to make coffee or tea, and have a small fridge for bottles of water or whatever you need" Wanda grinned.
"That's how Bruce and I get caffeinated on weekends. We drink our coffee in the bedroom before we come down" Nat smirked at you.
"There's a lot I'm looking forward to coming home to" you sighed happily as you ate. You saw Bucky was still reading some of the newspapers and frowning. "What is it?" you asked him gently.
"Reading the paper. You looked so beautiful, they should have commented on that" he turned and looked at you with a smile.
"You are so good at flattery, I think you need a reward for that" you winked at him.
"No, no rewards today. You'll be in the living room. We don't need to see that" Scott chirped up.
"A reward can be a kiss on the cheek" you blushed a bright red.
"I want a kiss on the lips, after breakfast" Bucky decided.
"Deal" you giggled to yourself. "But in the living room"
"I know where I'm not going" Peter sighed. "Happy, can you drive Pietro and I to see Aunt May for the weekend?"
"Sure kiddo" Happy gave a grin. "I'll bring your aunt some more flowers"
"Are we going to that party?" Pietro arched an eyebrow and Peter grinned and nodded.
"I'm headed out to see my girl and Cassie for the rest of the weekend" Scott announced.
"I'm headed to see Laura and the kids for what's left of the weekend. It was too late to leave last night after the party was over" Clint frowned a bit.
"That was my problem too" Scott agreed.

After breakfast was over, Steve brought Daisy out for you saying he wanted to play catch for a bit. You honestly wanted him to get a dog too, since he mentioned wanting one. You knew he would do well, but you didn't mind sharing either. You had put your plate and Bucky's plate in the kitchen and grabbed another coffee before heading to the living room where Bucky was waiting with a huge grin on his face. You set your coffee cup on the table and walked over to him and pulled on the front of his shirt to bring him down to you and softly kissed him on the lips. His hands went into your hair automatically, and he gave a soft moan before he started to deepen the kiss. His hands slowly moved down, and he dipped you back, and you could feel a smile on his lips as he did it. You got lost in his lips again, and just enjoyed the moment for what it was. Just the two of you, and it felt like the rest of the world melted away.
When he put you back on your feet, you giggled a bit and stood back after a moment and giving him a quick chaste kiss on the lips.
"At ease soldier" you winked at him and took out your phone.
"I'm going to run and get my laptop" he smirked at you and headed out of the room while you got comfortable on the couch, leaving him lots of space with the table when he got back. You started going over the code words and sentences again. You had a lot to memorize. Everything was going to be vital for the mission. You barely looked up as Bucky came back in and he opened up his laptop. You looked over for a moment and marveled a little at how at ease he was with a laptop now that he could use one that would function for him properly. He was quick to open up his email and he started reading through. You went more into the corner of the couch, taking a sip of your coffee and brought your legs up beside you. It wasn't long before you felt him grab your legs and put them on his lap and gave you a flirty grin. You chuckled slightly and went back to your email. You were trying not to get distracted by thoughts of what you wanted to do as a reward if you had it memorized by the end of day today. You knew you wanted at least one more date with Bucky and Steve before you both left on your big mission.
