Bucky nervously followed Fury outside to his car. He felt like both of his hands were sweating, he hadn't really spent much time around your dad besides to talk about missions or at the meals he would show up for. This felt a little different. Fury didn't talk much, but then again, except with you or Steve, Bucky didn't talk much either. He got in the passenger seat silently and put on his seat belt while Fury got in the front seat and put on his seat belt before he pulled out of the parking lot.
"So twins huh?" Fury finally broke the silence.
"We are pretty excited" Bucky nodded.
"She's showing early" Fury nodded. "You realize she's always going to be my little girl, right?"
"Of course, sir" he looked at him for a moment and then looked away. "Where are we going?" he finally asked.
"Somewhere I don't take anyone, except for Maria and Y/N" he replied easily. "My house"
"Your house, sir?" Bucky repeated in surprise.
"You deserve to see where she grew up, if you are going to be a part of this family, you should see where she's going to be headed if anything goes south" he looked at him, and got on the highway. They drove wordlessly along the highway until he got off, and started down an old street. Bucky watched curiously, memorizing the route, just like he did for your special spot. He realized your spot was pretty far from home. You had gone pretty far before deciding on what you wanted to do with your life.

Fury pulled up in front of an old ranch house with a white picket fence on the outside, with a lot of lawn. There were woods in the back, and it seemed to be secluded. Fury parked the car and finally looked at Bucky with a hesitant smile.
"You can call me Nick when we aren't working" he said, and got out of the car. Bucky sat shocked for a moment, but then followed suit, and got out. He saw there were a lot of cameras around the house, looking out. Fury walked into the house, and put his keys down and Bucky followed him slowly, not sure what to expect. The house was impeccably clean, with black leather furniture in the living room, and white walls all through the house. He followed Fury to the kitchen where it was all stainless steel appliances and he opened the fridge and pulled out two beers, offering one to Bucky.
"Thank you" Bucky finally found his voice. He looked around curiously, seeing the dining room only had a small table with four chairs, and a small centerpiece that looked like blue roses in it made of silk.
"Y/N bought that for fathers day one year" he gestured to the centerpiece. "She was only ten at the time, she said we needed something that looked alive in the house. She didn't know that she was all I needed to feel like the house was alive" he sighed softly. "Come on" he gestured to the hallway, and brought Bucky into your old bedroom. He smiled softly seeing the robin egg blue walls with several bookshelves that were covered in books. Your bedspread was a dark blue, and the walls were covered with trophies, medals, and accolades along with your diploma. "She grew up right here" Fury gave a soft smile and sat on the side of the bed and Bucky stood looking around, amazed at all the medals you had, and awards. You seemed to be an overachiever. "She changed my life, just like she's changing yours" Fury gave a smile.
"She's changed my life for the better, from the moment I met her" Bucky took a sip of his beer and looked around again.
"You want to see where she learned her trade?" Fury's eyes lit up. "She used to do this thing, where she would spend all day, trying to find ways to outsmart me, and would come home, go do all of her training and she would still stay up until almost midnight for me to get home" he smirked as he stood up. He led Bucky down the hallway to a door that opened to the basement, and Fury hit the lights. It almost looked clinical the way the room just exploded in bright lights. Bucky blinked a few times, before following Fury down the stairs. He saw the basement seemed to be larger than the house itself, and had to wonder what other secrets Fury was hiding. He saw there was a gun range, exercise equipment and then a room that looked like it had taken a beating made of what looked to be bulletproof glass.
"She would wait down here for me, knowing it was where I used to keep my office. She'd even fall asleep in my chair. She would read through files she wasn't supposed to..." he trailed off. "She knew more about what was going on than most of the world ever will"
"She ever win against you?" Bucky asked with a smirk as they got closer to the room.
"Oh, she did. I never admitted it, I told her to train harder" Fury gave a smirk. "First time she outsmarted me, she was twelve, and I was starting to think I was getting too old for raising kids" he chuckled. "She caught me off guard though, she used her water power and her frost power at the same time. She's never mastered the water, but..." he stopped when he saw Bucky smile. "What?"
"She's mastered it. She figured out how to use it" Bucky smiled proudly.
"Well, I'll be damned" Fury laughed. "It only took her a handful of years to figure it out" he smiled proudly. "What was it?"
"She had to use love, not anger" Bucky flushed a bit admitting it out loud.
"I always pushed her to use her anger, it makes sense" Fury nodded in acknowledgement.

"She must have felt a lot of love growing up, or else she wouldn't have been able to figure it out" Bucky gave a soft smile.
"I think she feels a lot of love around you" Fury gave a knowing smile. He pointed to a point in the glass that looked like it was almost breaking. "She was sixteen when she did that, just before she tried to run away"
"You knew about that?" He looked at him surprised.
"I let her go, I figured she needed to make her own decision" he nodded. "She was and still is my baby, but I knew she was growing up. She made it pretty far, before she turned around and came back"
"Did you have a tail on her?" Bucky asked quickly.
"I was the tail" Fury chuckled. "I know she still goes back to that spot often, I put a camera in up there to keep an eye out on her. I also know you are the first person she brought there. She never even brought Maria"
"How much did you watch?" Bucky felt his heart in his throat, knowing you both had made out there a few times.
"I turned it off once I saw she was with someone" Fury shrugged. Bucky visibly relaxed and released a soft sigh. "I still have all of her old guns here too" he pointed to a locker. "She hit the center of the target the first time at thirteen. I kept the targets too" he smiled proudly. "So let's talk about this wedding, and my grandbabies''

"You should have told me today was mainly about food." Loki looked at you with a smile. Steve gave a good natured chuckle while you were eating some of the fresh doughnuts after already finishing your strawberry covered waffle.
"It's always about the food" Steve chuckled.
You were surprised at how much fun you were having with Steve and Loki. They definitely made you feel protected. You and Steve both opted for the baseball caps, however Loki was completely against putting one on. Since he didn't venture out of the compound often, neither of you thought to argue with him about it. You had already filled three reusable bags full of strawberries, peaches, and plums. Steve insisted on carrying your bags for you, while Loki seemed to be on guard the entire time you had been walking around. You had stopped and bought candy, well, more like Loki paid for the candy. You also stopped for bubble tea, which made you happy.
"Steve, what do you think Pop's wants to talk to Bucky about?" you asked, taking another doughnut.
"I don't know" Steve shook his head. "Maybe he just wants to talk to the father of his grandchildren, and future son in law"
"That's exactly what he wanted to do" Loki gave a soft smile. "He brought him back to your childhood home, or at least that was his plan. He was going to show off your old bedroom, and your old training room"
"Pop's never brings anyone home" you shook your head.
"He planned to today" Loki shook his head. "Sergeant Barnes is about to be his son in law, that will make him family"
"I decided I want blue roses for the wedding. The bouquets and boutineers" you looked at Loki and he took out his book and pen, quickly writing it down.
"We have you scheduled for a dress fitting this week, once you are done with working on your mission reports for the day on Wednesday" Loki put his book away.
"Loki, it's probably better to wait at this point. I feel like I'm getting bigger by the day" you blushed slightly.
"Nonsense, I'll make sure the dress fits. You will have the perfect wedding" Loki gave a soft smile.
"How can you make sure that the dress fits?" you crossed your arms.
"Magic, darling" he shrugged nonchalantly.
"I'll have to look some more at those wedding books tonight too" you sighed softly.
"I'll look at them with you, seems like something fun to do" Steve offered.
"You want to look at dresses with me?" you arched an eyebrow.
"I'll help Bucky pick out the suit styles for the guys, how about that?" he chuckled.
"Sounds like a good idea, we've both been so busy since we got back" you admitted softly. "It will be nice to relax a little more"
You looked up and saw someone staring at the three of you suspiciously close, and you gulped slightly. Steve saw your anxiety flaring up and looked up to take in what you were seeing. He pulled you close and put his arm around you and gave the person a small smile. You saw Loki reaching for his daggers under his shirt. The person finally walked away and you let out a sigh of relief.
"I thought they recognized us" you flushed a bit.
"They thought they did, but then the Captain put his arm around you, and they thought they were wrong." Loki updated you. "They were very interested in your stomach"
"I'm trying to hide it a little, but it's hard" you frowned slightly, feeling uncomfortable. "I'm not ready for the world to know about them yet. What if they become a target, you know?"
"They are in the safest place possible, I would feel badly for anyone that dares to come for the children. They would be in the fight for their lives, and quite frankly, they will lose" Loki gave a smile.
"I'm going to go buy some more doughnuts for the team. Did you want anything else?" Steve gave you a small smile.
"Another strawberry waffle?" you flushed a bit, biting your bottom lip unsurely.
"You've got it" he chuckled and got up to go grab the food.
