Newbie (Bucky x Reader)

Battle

As the jet landed, you were able to see the size of a huge base outside the window a little bit further away, but it wouldn't be long to get to if you ran for it. You double checked your gear was fastened to you, and looked to Bucky to make sure his was too. He gave you a small smile, and you could tell he was a bit worried. You started unbuckling the straps and were one of the first to stand up.
"Okay team, this is one of those times I'm going to say give them Hell" Tony announced while hitting his chest and getting covered in his Iron man suit. You knew you were supposed to go last with the girls, while the rest of the team took point. They were the distraction for while you three slipped in hopefully unnoticed.
"Be safe in there" Bucky grabbed you and gave you a lingering kiss on the lips.
"Be safe out there" you whispered. You had a gut feeling something was off, but couldn't prove it. Not yet. You watched as the rest of the team took point, and you found yourself standing next to Nat, Wanda and Bruce who was listening on comms for them to say code green. It wasn't long until you could hear a fight breaking out, and gun shots were being fired.
"That's our queue" Nat gave you a worried look.
"We've got this" you nodded.
"I'll take it from the skies, I know where my room is" Wanda gave you both a look while her eyes flashed red and she flew out of the plane. Both you and Natasha started making a run for it down the same path that the team had gone down. As you neared the base you saw the team fighting several hydra agents but seemed to be handling themselves very well. You swallowed your anxiety and took to the forest lines with Nat to get to one of the side doors that was closer to her computer room. You both slipped in, and you saw two agents come running at you both. Without thinking you took out your whips and hit them both before Nat went and started tying their hands and feet together, that were thankfully close enough together. You unfroze them and they both fell to the ground.
"That seemed too easy" you whispered to Nat.
"Stop over analyzing" Nat gave you a playful swat on the butt. "Go get your data" she reminded you and you started making your way down the hallway. You met a few more agents on your way, and dodged a few gunshots before freezing them and using the rope to tie up their hands and feet before unfreezing them. You took their guns from them before they had time to react and smiled proudly to yourself as you headed to your data room.

When you slipped into your data room, you kept thinking this was too easy. You were right. As soon as you slipped in the door there was a group of hydra agents waiting on you with their guns pointed at you.
"Well, this is awkward" you put up your hands counting how many men and women were in the room. There was close to fifteen. "I'm not liking my odds" you continued to speak out loud, hoping someone would clue in on comms.
"You think you can just waltz in here and try to take our data and use it for yourself?" the leader took his safety off his gun. You knew instinctively he would have to go first.
"Actually, I'm just here to get it so we can read it and see how naughty you all have been" you shrugged looking around the room quickly again. "How did you know we were coming?" you raised an eyebrow.
"We collect data on you as well Avenger" the leader sneered at you.
"Fair, so you are probably getting it out of Shield since the Avengers base is so secure" you took a step forward and saw a bunch of guns raised gain. "Tell me, did you get it from a research base, or are there wolves in sheep's clothing?" you raised an eyebrow, making sure to keep your hands up.
"Hydra is everywhere" one of the woman from the side said to you.
"That answers that question" you sighed. "You guys know, we don't have to fight right? If you let me, I'll just tie you up, grab the data... probably wipe all your servers with a virus, but you'll get out of here alive"
"You're the only one dying today" the leader grinned and he shot his gun, but you dodged it just barely feeling a bit of a burn on your arm. You threw two nets, one to each side and saw two groups fall to the ground screaming in pain. You took out your ice whips and attacked the leader first as he froze to the same spot. His hands still both holding the gun. You threw another net that took out half of what was left and looked to the rest of the agents with their guns pointed at you. You saw the guns starting to be fired, and you slid along the ground and hit them with your whips as soon as you were close enough. The burn on your arm hurt like a bitch, but at least the bullet didn't go through you like last time. You took the time to start tying up the ones that were frozen, making sure they wouldn't be able to move once you unfroze them. You went to the first net and started pulling some out by the feet and tying their feet first. They tried to fight you in hand to hand combat, but you had the upper hand. The second net stopped working and you threw another one at that team, feeling another bullet burn on your side. Now you were just pissed off. You started working more quickly, getting them all tied up. Once you were done, you unfroze the groups and the leader that were frozen. You took the gun from his hands before he had the chance to do anything, and made sure he was completely immobilized. You moved to the last group, pulling each individual out by their feet while they were still be electrocuted and would bind their legs first before you got them out and got their hands. You searched each one for weapons and took them. You did the same process for each one in the room and looked around to see them all on the floor looking pretty pissed off.
"We will get out of these bounds and kill you" one man said from the side.
"You can try, but I have the weapons" you grinned. You sat at a computer and started hacking your way in.
"Did anyone else have a little surprise in their data room?" you heard Wanda's voice over comms.
"I have about twenty" you answered quickly. "Are you okay, did you manage it?"
"I'm fine, it was just a surprise to be ambushed" she admitted. "I'm working on the data now"
"Same here, ambushed. They were waiting for us" Nat came through. "I'm getting the data, but I think they might need a few extra jets for the prisoners"
"Definitely was not expecting that" you admitted softly and went back to work. You got into the mainframe and plugged in the first data stick. You started the download, and noticed the leader was worming his way to you. "This is going to go one of two ways, and you wont like either of them" you warned him. You saw him trying to get to a gun, and sighed getting up. You went over and pulled him up as he started trying to fight you. He got you once in the face and you growled a bit before taking more rope and wrapping it around his entire body. You then punched him on the temple and he was out like a light.
"Anyone else?" you asked raising an eyebrow. You could feel a black eye coming out, but you didn't care. None of the other prisoners moved for the moment. You went back, and heard the data stick ping, and put in the next one. There was a lot of data to recover by the looks of it, and you silently worried the ten data sticks might not be enough. You heard movement in the hallway and went to the door to peek out. Another team was getting ready to come through the door. You took out your whips and waited patiently stepping back. As soon as the door flew open you started whipping each individual until they were frozen. You decided not to take any chances, and only unthawed their hands if they had guns so you could take those away first before you started tying them up. Once they were tied up, you would unthaw them and carry them to the corner where the rest of your hostages were. You heard the data stick ping, and went and put another one in before you went to get the next hostage.
"Keep an eye on your doors, I just had some party crashers" you called through comms. You finished with the team that was going to storm your door and checked them for more weapons before bringing them to the center of the floor where you were. One man tried making his way to you, but you stood up and kicked him in the temple, knocking him out as well. You sighed and went back to your data recovery. It took five data sticks to get the entire data out of the computer, then went to make the second copy. You kept getting up to check the hallway and walking back to the computer. You were starting to get anxious since they were expecting you.
"They just called out a code green" Nat updated you and Wanda. You heard the roar of the hulk and felt the building shaking. "I think your gut feeling was right Y/N, they were expecting us"
"I have a talker in here, if you want to come in and have a chat with them" you looked over to the woman who said that hydra was everywhere. "She said Hydra is everyone, and implied hydra is in Shield"
"Interesting" Wanda spoke up. "Maybe I could have a talk with her"
"I'm almost done with the data. Ladies?" you asked gently.
"Almost there, there's a lot" Wanda responded quickly.
"Almost there too" Nat agreed. You looked over and saw someone trying to make their way to where you had the weapons piled, and you threw a water orb at them throwing them back into the wall.
"Those weapons are not going to help you now" you announced. "I'm not like you, I'm letting you live" you annunciated each word. You threw your ice powers at the pile of weapons, and froze them all in ice.
"You're a demon" one man spat at you.
"Created by hydra" you gave a smirk. "But you knew that already, didn't you?"
"You picked the wrong side" another one said to you.
"I picked just fine thank you" you smirked as you finished with getting the last of the data. "Ladies, how are we doing?"
"Just finished" Nat came through.
"Almost there" Wanda responded. You waited patiently and a few minutes later you heard her again. "Done, lets destroy it" she spoke with a thick accent. You started downloading the virus, which was a little quicker than usual and waited a moment. You checked to make sure everyone was still in their spots. You expanded the virus to go over all servers and nodded to yourself as you hit enter and it completed itself with flourish.
"I'm switching to team comms" you announced.
"Its done?" Nat asked.
"Its done" you smiled to yourself. "Lets see if the team needs a little help"
"I'll see you on the grounds ice demon" Nat teased.

You looked at your hostages again, and nodded to yourself seeing they had no way out. You refroze the weapons and started making your way down the empty hallway. You remembered where the hostages were being kept, and wondered if the team had gotten to them yet. You took a left and slid down the stairs. You saw Pietro, Scott and Peter had it handled and were already getting the children out in a line. You made your way down another hallway to check to see if there were any other hydra agents. You found a room of scientists that were packing up.
"What do we have here?" you smiled as you walked in and closed the door behind you.
"Stay back" one of the scientists pulled out a gun and a shot rang off. You felt it hit you in the shoulder, you were not expecting that. You grimaced and got off the ground quickly. "I'll kill you" he threatened you.
"I'm unkillable" you grinned and pulled out your ice whips. "This is going to be fun" you started whipping at each of them, moving around the room in almost a dance. You saw there was a lot of paper work, and made note that it should make it back to the jet. You pushed yourself to start tying up the hostages, and taking their weapons from them as you defrosted each one.
"I've got two rooms full of hostages. The data room, and a lab" you said through comms and accidently groaned.
"Doll, are you okay?" you heard Bucky almost immediately.
"I couldn't dodge all the bullets" you admitted. "They got me in the shoulder" you spoke softly. "I think it went straight through. Are you okay?"
"He's been shot a few times, but he's giving them Hell" Tony answered you.
"Doll, grab your data and head back to the jet" Bucky seemed a little upset.
"I'm finishing my sweep of the building, they were expecting us" you shook your head, taking the two large binders with data from the lab experiments.
