Newbie (Bucky x Reader)

Special mission start

By the time the jet landed, you and Bucky had put your masks back on. The flight had been relatively quiet as you both looked over your new phones. Yours had gardening apps on it, and a few others. You had a lot of pictures of the fake life you and Bucky never actually lived. Some of the places in the photos looked beautiful. You supposed it was all part of the cover. A lot of it was generic. Bucky had a lot of photos of the fake you and cars. There were also a bunch on both of your phones of Daisy and Alpine which made you smile. At least those you knew weren't fake. You liked that you could recognize the grounds from the compound, or the bedroom and living room area's in the backgrounds. It was a small reminder of home, that you almost needed already. Daisy and Alpine had found a corner to snuggle in, in the jet and were resting comfortably.
"Good luck Melody and James" Clint came over and gave you both a hug, and a set of keys for a car that you saw immediately as soon as the back of the jet opened up.
"Oh Tony, thank you" Bucky grinned to himself. It was a black BMW, that looked really sleek.
"I take it your driving" you giggled.
"Oh you can't take this from me. She's beautiful" he gushed as he grabbed the groceries to put in the trunk, and you brought Alpine and Daisy to the back seat. Bucky ran around and opened the passenger side door for you to slide in and you smiled at him happily before he closed the door and ran around to jump in the drivers side. He turned on the car and leaned back sighing happily. "She purrs like a kitten" he grinned. You gave a small giggle and turned on the GPS while you heard the jet taking back off.

Bucky drove easily, and you took in the sights as he went. You saw it was a small town, but very rich looking. You saw Bucky's garage that he was taking over tomorrow and pointed it out to him and he just grinned happily to himself. When you got to the gated community Bucky pulled out his new wallet from his back pocket and smiled at the guard easily.
"We've been waiting on you both Mr and Mrs Smith" the guard gave a smile. "Welcome to the Pines"
"Thank you" you gave a timid smile.
"You're going to love it here, we have farmers markets in the park almost right across from your new home every Sunday. It's a shame you didn't move in sooner, yesterday was a good one" the guard continued.
"I can't wait to see" you blushed and put your hand on Bucky's leg. He reached down, and took your hand, kissing your knuckles.
"You'll love the house honey" Bucky smiled at you. "I bought it with you in mind"
"Just straight on through, you'll find it I'm sure Mr Smith" the guard opened the gates and Bucky drove through. He followed the GPS until you got to a beautiful yellow house, with white trimming. It looked brand new. There were several rose bushes in the front, just like the pictures, but you blushed happily looking at it. Bucky parked the car and ran around to your side and opened your door. You saw some of the neighbors were already looking at you both.
"James, its wonderful" you gushed and he opened the back door for Daisy to jump out. You picked up Alpine and started for the front doors. Bucky came up and unlocked the front door before picking you up and walking you over the threshold. You gave a giggle and he sat you down.
"Just wait for me" he winked at you and ran back out to the car to get the groceries. You looked around the posh looking main floor. The living room had a large screen TV, and ivory couches. The dining room had a beautiful wooden table, and you saw the kitchen was cut off from your view a bit. Bucky came back in and locked the car doors behind him. You closed the front door and you both looked around in wonder. He led the way to the kitchen and you saw a huge fruit bowl was already on the counter. The kitchen was all pristine white with matching appliances in brushed steel. You opened the fridge and saw that it was fully stocked for at least a few weeks. All the cupboards were fully stocked. You liked the light blue they had picked out for the dishes. You saw the main floor bathroom was just off the living room, but it wasn't a full bathroom. At least you wouldn't have to worry about company using the upstairs one. You saw through the back windows the back yard was composed of rose gardens as well, with a small back patio with a table and some chairs already set out for you both. Everything was fenced in. You followed Bucky to the stairs and went up to see the upper floor had two bedrooms, one of them was made into an office. You saw both your laptop and Bucky's laptop was in there. You went to your bedroom and saw the bathroom was an ensuite, fully equipped with a shower and a bathtub separate. The bathtub was more of a soaker tub. You saw there was a giftbag with bubble bath and bath bombs for you, and you grinned. You made your way to look around the bedroom and saw it was a large king size bed. You saw the chargers for the masks beside the bed, that could easily look like cell phone chargers. You set down your purse and sat on the side of the bed. The bedspread was a nice light blue. Bucky opened the walk in closet and grinned seeing all of your clothes was hanging, as were his. He opened the dresser drawers, and it seemed you had the right, while he had the left side.
"This will work" Bucky grinned.
"Let's go check out the back garden" you stood up excitedly.
"I wanted to unwrap my gift" he looked at you with hooded eyes.
"The neighbors are watching right now, it's the perfect opportunity to start to make friends" you pouted a bit.
"Not even a little bit" his voice went a little huskier and you shivered in anticipation.
"Mission first Sargent" you leaned up and kissed him softly.
"Tonight then" he sighed, and followed you as you went back down the stairs. You went to the kitchen first and put away the groceries that you could. Most of them had to stay on the cupboard. You then went out on the back patio and couldn't hold back your excitement as you started walking on the small garden path looking around. You heard a camera click, and turned to look over your shoulder and Bucky was taking a photo of you. You smiled at him and he took another one.
"Its so beautiful James" you cooed, keeping up with appearances, seeing one of the neighbors looking at you from their back patio as well. "You spoil me so much, my love"
"Only the best for my rose" he grinned as you stopped to smell some of the roses. Daisy came out and sniffed around the garden and ran to you to pick her up. You walked with her around the rest of the back yard, and saw there was a small shed with another two sets table and chairs for the patio if you needed it. You grinned, thinking Tony thought of everything. "Does my rose approve of the new house?" Bucky asked a little loudly.
"Of course, you chose so well my love" you set down Daisy and skipped up to him and jumped at him and he picked you up and swung you in a circle and kissed you softly on the lips. "I can't wait to see more of the town" you added for good measure.
"In good time" Bucky winked at you. "Let's go inside for a bit"
You followed Bucky back into the house, and checked the time. You wanted to make sure you had time to make a good supper. Bucky led you into the living room and pulled you down on the couch and kissed your cheek. You climbed up on his lap and leaned against him.
"Do you think we have the neighbors curious?" Bucky whispered in your ear.
"They sure did a lot of looking over that fence" you whispered back, and touched his cheek.
"Want to watch one of those documentaries?" he kissed you softly.
"I need to make my husband's supper soon" you touched him on the lips. "I saw some steak waiting to be cooked, and we have some asparagus, and I'm thinking potatoes"
"You spoil your husband" he grinned.
"He spoils me too" you winked.
"Will you let me spoil you tonight?" he started running his hands up and down your sides.
"You just want to tie me up again" you bit your bottom lip.
"That too" he didn't bother hiding it. "It's been too long"
"I do miss the way you feel" you nipped at his bottom lip.
"Feelings mutual" he groaned a bit as you heard a knock on the door. You hurried off Bucky's lap and smiled shyly going to the front door. You saw in the window one of the neighbors that had been watching you while you were outside. You opened the door and put a shy smile on your face. Bucky came up behind you and gave a huge smile.
"Hi there, I'm Laura, this is my husband Dean. We saw you finally moved in and wanted to introduce ourselves. We brought you some cupcakes to welcome you to the neighborhood" a tall woman stood in front of you with long brown hair and brown eyes. Her husband had black hair and blue eyes, and nearly as tall as Bucky but seemed more lanky.
"Hi, I'm James, and this is Melody. Thank you for the cupcakes, and welcoming us" Bucky held out his hand quickly and shook their hands. You timidly gave a smile and shook their hands as well.
"Would you like to come in?" Bucky asked with a big smile.
"Oh, no thank you. We are going to have a bar-b-que party this weekend. You are both more than welcome to come. You can meet more of the neighborhood" Dean smiled.
"You had me at Bar-b-que" Bucky grinned. "Want us to bring anything?"
"A fruit salad would be great" Laura smiled to you, and you flushed with a nod.
"What day would you like us to come?" you asked meekly.
"Saturday, you'll love it" Laura's smile grew.
"My husband loves the bar-b-ques" you flushed. "He used to host them in our old neighborhood"
"Well, maybe you'll have to help me" Dean teased.
"I know not to mess with a man and his bar-b-que meat" Bucky laughed.
"Thank you for the cupcakes" you spoke softly as Laura handed them to you. "We will have them for dessert" you smiled softly.
"There's both chocolate and vanilla. Homemade of course" Laura smiled.
"Thank you" you put your face in Bucky's shyly. "I'd better go start on supper" you whispered.
"We just wanted to say hi, it was nice to meet you" Dean smiled and waved.
"Nice to meet you both" Bucky grinned and you headed towards the kitchen with the cupcakes.
