Once you were done doing the breakfast dishes, you noticed that Bucky had chosen to sit at the counter to watch you while you worked. You went for the last of the fresh fruits that you had and grabbed a large bowl and started peeling and cutting up fruit.
"What's this for?" Bucky asked gently.
"The bar-b-que" you shrugged. "We promised to bring a fruit salad" you reminded him.
"It will be the most popular dish at the party" he smirked, and came over to help you with the fruit.
"I doubt that, people go for the meat" you giggled.
"I'm going for the fruit salad" he chuckled.
"Did you remember to send off your email last night for your paperwork?" you looked at him.
"I did, it was very brief" he smirked. "I had other things on my mind"
"So did I" you winked at him. "I had hoped we would have time for other things today, but it seems we won't. I still have to make my handsome husband a lunch, and finish this up. I think the neighbors heard us last night"
"You should be used to that by now" he laughed. "You've been getting more vocal now that we live here"
"You bring out the worst in me" you took a slice of plum and put it in his mouth. "You seem to like it"
"I love it" he admitted. "Makes me want more of it" he winked at you.
"You'll have to wait until after our walk tonight" you reminded him as he came to stand behind you and wrapped his arms around you. You finished the fruit salad, and managed to put together a few sandwiches for lunch. You realized that you didn't have time for a shower anymore before getting dressed. Bucky came back downstairs and grinned at you while you set the table.
"You're taking out Daisy while I go get changed. We will have lunch once your done" you walked over and kissed him softly on the lips.
"I'm not hungry for food" he chuckled.
"You just had your fill" you sassed him and ran back up the stairs. You heard him take Daisy outside while you went first to focus on your makeup first, making sure to cover all the love bites that would be visible along your neck and your collar bone. You went with neutral tones for eyeshadow, a pinker blush and lip gloss. You put on white undergarments and slipped on a white dress with pink roses printed all over it. You made sure your mask covered you properly.
You slipped on a pair of pink flats that matched your dress and walked back down the stairs.
"You look perfect" Bucky smiled at you as he came back inside.
"Come eat your real lunch" you giggled and started to boil the tea.
"Will you sit on my lap?" he chuckled and you blushed.
"Maybe later" you flirted with him easily. "Play your cards right at the bar-b-que" you winked at him and went and sat beside him to eat your lunch. As soon as the water boiled you got up and made your tea. "You also need to mow the lawn" you grinned at him.
"The grass does need to be kept at community standards" he nodded.
"The mower is in the garage, and I'm going to enjoy my tea while I watch my loving husband take care of the yard" you winked at him.
"You'll have to keep Daisy inside" he warned you.
"Make sure you don't mow over her balls. We don't know when we can get to the pet store again" you warned him.
"Trust me, my rose, I'll take care of the lawn so you can keep focusing on your garden" Bucky grinned. You leaned over and kissed him softly on the cheek before picking up the dishes and heading to the sink to wash them quickly. Bucky got up and came over and kissed you on the side of the neck before he headed to the garage.

You saw Bucky was wearing just a t-shirt and his jeans as he mowed the back lawn. You enjoyed your tea from your seat, and watched him lovingly.
"Enjoying the view?" Bucky asked throwing two of Daisy's balls onto the porch with you.
"Of course" you licked your lips and went back to your tea. You pulled out the puzzle book and started working on it again. Your eyes went back up to study him as he carefully went around your gardens. You smiled shyly, as he blew you a kiss. You could hear Laura and Dean next door getting ready for the party, and sipped at your tea again.
"You putting him to work?" Laura looked over the side of the fence.
"I need to keep the garden, so he can keep the lawn" you giggled.
"Wow, he has a lot of muscles" she looked at Bucky, and you felt a sense of pride knowing he was all yours.
"He uses them" you giggled. "He works on cars all day"
"And you all night?" she raised an eyebrow and you blushed.
"We are still like newly weds, even after a few years" you bit your bottom lip.
"Nothing wrong with that. We are really looking forward to having you two at the party. Everyone has been wondering about you two" Laura gushed. You blushed and gave her a small smile.
"We are looking forward to it too" you admitted gently.
