Newbie (Bucky x Reader)

Moving in

When you woke up in the morning you came out to see Maria had already left for the day, probably to go home and change. You made a quick breakfast for you and Daisy and went to change into a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a low-cut white top. You decided to leave your hair down, and go with some light makeup. You put on a pair of red converse sneakers and grinned to yourself while getting Daisy ready for her morning walk. You walked outside and saw a few agents doing their morning runs while you took her for her normal walk around the block. You were looking forward to taking her through the woods near the compound. You had seen it when you drove by a few times. You would love to see how much she would love it there. You stopped for your normal coffee and took your time walking back so you could enjoy your coffee while walking. When you got back, you saw Bucky and Steve about to walk into the building.
"Good morning Handsome and Helpful" you smiled at them as you got closer.
"We were just here to pick you up..." Bucky turned to look at you and smiled in spite of himself running his eyes over you again. You flushed a little, but you were doing the same thing. He was wearing black jeans and a black t-shirt. Steve was in light blue jeans and a white t-shirt.
"Well, I already have everything I need, lets go" you smiled at them. "Should I take my car separately?" you offered.
"No, join us. We will bring you back to get your stuff" Steve gave a small smile.
"I haven't packed" you shook your head.
"I'll help, you don't have that much" Bucky offered.
"I have a healthy love of clothes" you admitted.
"You'll fit in with the girls, easy" Steve went to get in the car, and Bucky opened the back door for you and Daisy to get in. You climbed in and he shut it behind you before he got in the front himself. You noticed he put you right behind Steve who was driving.

The drive was fairly short, or at least it seemed to be with the way Bucky and Steve were bantering in the front seat. You were content to stay out of the conversation and looked out the window. You saw Bucky kept stealing looks at you from your peripherals and tried not to blush. Daisy just passed out across the back seat.
"We're here" Steve announced as he parked in front of the front door. The building was huge, and looked wildly expensive. You saw there were a few separate buildings around, and there seemed to be security outside. You barely had time to unbuckle before Steve was out and held open your door for you.
"Thanks" you smiled and got out picking up Daisy out of habit. When you were nervous you held her close to your chest. It was something she was used to. She just tucked her head over your neck and you followed them both to the door. Bucky opened it and waited for you to go in before going in himself. "Thanks again" you couldn't help the blush on your cheeks that time.
"Finally, and just on time" Tony came into view quickly. The entry way was beautiful, and there were windows everywhere. "So glad that you changed your mind to join us" he grinned to himself.
"I told you what I required. Thank you for the opportunity" you smiled at him and he led the way down a hallway.
"These are the living quarters, where we also have our own private gym, a large kitchen, a few labs, large dining room and family room. We also have the infirmary in the living quarters in case you need it. The couple suites are all upstairs, along with some of the single suites. You'll be down here with Bucky, Steve, Clint when he's here, Scott when he's here and Sam. He pointed to different bedrooms. "Here's yours at the end" he opened a door and you walked in and were slightly taken aback at the size of it. "You can go in" he prompted and you walked in putting Daisy down for a moment while you took it in. It had a huge king size bed, a large walk in closet with dressers, empty book shelves, a couch, a desk and an in suite bathroom. The bathroom was the size of your current living room with a large tub, a shower, toilet, and lots of cupboard space and a sink.
"I'll have to go shopping to get some new linens, and blankets" you decided.
"We have a corporate account and can take care of that for you. Just need to know your preferences. You get your own laptop and a Stark phone as well. It's a bit of an upgrade" Tony shrugged.
"Red, blue, and greens" you blushed, trying to take this all in. Daisy sniffed around the room, but saw you were starting to get anxious and came running to you and waited for you to pick her back up again.
"She doesn't like the room?" Steve asked from behind you.
"No, when I get anxious, I carry her. It calms me" you admitted. "She knows the signs"
"Alright, good to know. Lets go" Tony led the way out, and you saw Bucky look at you worriedly for a moment. You followed him out and he pointed out the gym, then where there was an indoor pool and an entrance to an outdoor pool. He pointed out the infirmary, and some of his labs before stopping at the large kitchen.
"We normally take turns cooking, but have someone for cleaning" Tony explained. "You can cook whatever you want, if we need ingredients, you just need to ask Friday my AI system"
"Or I could just go to the grocery store" you bit your bottom lip.
"Family policy, you ask Friday" he shrugged and you saw the dining room was right next to it. The table was huge, and enough to seat at least thirty people. You were a little shocked to say the least. Right after the dining room you saw a large living room with a huge entertainment system and lots of couches everywhere, as well as fluffy looking chairs. "Few house rules, we have meals together, we normally work out together. I've already been warned that director Fury will be joining us on Sunday's. Party's are mandatory attendance. We have a family game night at least once a month when there's no missions so its sporadic. There's a balcony on your room that will lead you down to the grounds so you can take Daisy for her walks, or go for a run on the walkway. There's woods for you know... if you like that sort of thing" he added. "There's a large lake you can use too. I also hired someone to pick up the dog poop so you don't have to worry about that. Breakfast is at 8 sharp every morning, lunch is at noon, and supper is at 6"
"Okay, any more rules?" you asked gently.
"Just normal house rules. Try to pick up after yourself, and your dog" he looked at Daisy who was still in your arms. "Time to meet the team" he clapped his hands and led you away. You found yourself going into the gym which seemed to be state of the art. The one you knew as Bruce Banner was standing awkwardly to the side waiting, while the others were all working out or sparring. "Team, this is Y/N. Y/N, this is the team"
"Hey newbie, my name is Wanda" a woman came over with a large smile. She was as beautiful as her photos.
"Hello" you set down Daisy, and wiped your hands unconsciously as you reached out and shook her hand.
"This is my husband Vision" she motioned to the man standing beside her who shook your hand. "This is Natasha Romanoff, and Clint Barton" she pointed to two people getting out of the sparring ring. "That's Scott Lang, Sam Wilson, Peter Parker, my brother Pietro, Bruce Banner, Thor, and Loki" she pointed to each person in the room.
"Rhody is on a mission for the government again" Tony added in. You waved shyly to the team and felt Daisy paw at your leg to be picked up again.
"This is Daisy" you gave a warm smile.
"She's very attached to you" Wanda grinned as you picked Daisy back up. "I can feel her love for you"
"The feeling is mutual" you beamed. "She helps a lot"
"Its nice to finally have another girl around here" Natasha came over and shook your hand. You smiled to her. "Call me Nat"
"Thank you" you flushed a bit.
"They've all read your file" Tony warned you.
"Please don't hold it against me" you smiled, trying to joke.
"You'll meet my wife Pepper and our friend Happy at breakfast tomorrow morning. You should be moved in tonight" Tony decided.
"I didn't start packing" you shook your head.
"That's no problem, I'll send movers over" he shrugged.
"No, there's some things I'd rather pack myself" you flushed. "I'll pack and be back tonight" you finally gave in.
"Good, I'll have your room ready for tonight then" he was typing into his phone.
"We will come help you doll" Bucky touched you softly with his flesh hand on your arm and you smiled at him biting your bottom lip. His gaze darkened and went to your lips for a moment before going back to your eyes.
"We had better get going then" Steve led the way out and you waved to everyone feeling very much out of place. "I'll drive, since you'll be distracted" he murmured to Bucky who grinned to himself and you followed them both dutifully.

"I'm glad your dad sent so many boxes" Steve seemed surprised at the amount of clothes you had.
"You look nothing like him, you're adopted right?" Bucky asked as he took handfuls of dresses off the hangers.
"Yes, since I was eight after he rescued me from Hydra" you nodded taking a box and trying to be discrete cleaning out your bedside drawers. You had a few toys you used regularly they didn't need to know about. You ended up just dumping everything in the drawer into the box, and placed one of your decorative pillows on top before taping the box shut.
"Is that how you got your abilities?" Steve asked curiously.
"Yes" you nodded, not wanting to get into it too much. "Thanks for the help gentlemen"
"Its our pleasure doll" Bucky grinned at you, and threw you a wink.
"Pops said he's keeping my accommodations here as mine, so I guess I don't need to pack the kitchen" you mused to yourself.
"You get the bathroom yet?" Bucky picked up an empty box.
"No, I'll get it and the dresser" you flushed again at the way he was gazing at you.
"I'll get the bathroom" Steve offered getting up. Most of the closet was done already, your room almost looked bare now. You shrugged and went to the dresser and started a new box to pull out your lingerie. You saw Bucky stop and look over and flushed a bit and turned around. You couldn't help but grin. He found your negligee's that were all hanging up and turned to you with the biggest smirk.
"You wear this to bed doll?" he was holding a lace version of one of them in his hands.
"What do you think I was wearing under the robe?" you teased and you saw his face turn a little red and he had the biggest grin on his face. He moved so his back was to you and continued to pack your clothes carefully. You saw he was standing a little oddly but shrugged about it and finished emptying the drawers. You heard a knock at the door, and left Bucky alone to go answer it. It turned out Tony wasn't kidding about having you moved in by the end of the day. There were a few movers there who announced they were there for the boxes. You backed up and let them come in and start taking the boxes. Daisy growled a little from her spot on the couch, but didn't move. You walked back in the bedroom and almost ran right into Bucky who was sturdy as a brick wall. He grabbed you by the hips to help you keep your balance and you looked up at him in surprise. His look of concern turned to a smirk as he looked at you with darkened, hooded eyes. You bit your bottom lip and his gaze went to your lips again.
"That's distracting doll" he whispered.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to run into you like that" you blushed a bit and saw his eyes were still trained on your lips. His gaze went up to your eyes again and he smiled and took a step back taking his hands from your hips. You weren't going to lie, you liked the feeling of his close proximity. Steve came in a moment later and announced he was done with the bathroom.
"I guess that's it" you moved out of the way when the movers came in and took the rest of the boxes that weren't in the living room. You looked at the empty space, and felt a bit of anxiety hitch up in your chest. Daisy came running over and jumped up for you to pick her up.
"You can follow us back, here's your new room key, and key for the building" Steve fished it out of his pocket.
"Thanks, I forgot to ask for one" you admitted, and put them on your keyring. "I should grab my pillows" you went to go to grab them.
"Tony's taken care of that, trust me. The man is thorough" Steve smiled.
