Election Day~ Prologue

"Looks like we're almost there!" Byleth cheered. They saw the city and then parked the city bus.

"Looks like we made it just in time," Sonic sighed. The heroes all headed into the city. It showed the two mayors getting ready to be chosen. Luigi or King Dedede were going to be elected as mayor of Dawn City.

Byleth asked, "What do you guys think should win the elections?"

"Luigi winning would be a benefit, not sure about King Dedede," Chiaki responded. The other heroes nodded. Then they heard the bells chime.

Albedo sighed, "It's time everyone." The heroes all joined the crowd and waited for the announcement. Luigi and King Dedede were there waiting for the person to come by.

"I wonder why we're waiting," Eula whispered.

Yae Miko responded, "Perhaps they are waiting for the original mayor to come by?" Eula nodded. Soon they heard footsteps.

"Who's that?" Kirby asked as he got on top of Mario. Then someone came by, they had dark red hair and their outfit was white.

Link wondered, "Never seen that man in my life, I just wonder who they could be." Then they stood in the middle of the platform.

"Could this be a protector god of some sort?" Kazuha questioned.

"Not entirely too far-fetched," Chiaki suggested. The person took a deep breath and caught everyone's attention.

"Greeting citizens of Dawn City! It is truly my honor to be introducing myself for the first time. Many of you are unfamiliar with my face, but I assure you I am one of the Goddess' creations," The person announced. The heroes all stood there watching. They took a deep breath once more.

"I'm not entirely familiar with the creations of Erica, I guess that says a lot about what I know about Dawn," Zhongli mumbled.

Chrom suggested, "Perhaps this is a new thing. Dawn did have creations of her own and they were the 5 protectors. However... this seems to be a protector god of the city..." Then the heroes all stood there staring at the person. Waiting for them to introduce themselves.

"I am Emperor Ruby. I bid you all to follow my rules. I do the best I can to ensure you all have good lives, now I'm here for the election of Mayor today," The person introduced.

Byleth thought, "Emperor Ruby... well one thing is for sure, this is a man we're looking at. However... something rings strange about that man."

"How so?" Albedo questioned. Byleth shook it off and told Albedo he was just overthinking. They all mumbled to each other about Emperor Ruby.

Emperor Ruby explained, "You are all free to call me Ruby if saying emperor is a little too much for you. Now enough introductions. Let the ceremony begin."

"Thank you so much Emperor Ruby," Luigi replied with a faint smile across his face. Ruby nodded and sat down on one of the seats. Then an announcer came by.

"Greetings citizens of Dawn City! I am Lady Azura and I'm accompanied by Miles 'Tails' Prower!" The announcer announced.

Sonic questioned, "Tails and Azura? Now that's a combination. But wouldn't that mean Tails already knew about Emperor Ruby?"

"I guess so," Hajime agreed.

Azura announced, "We are so happy to have our first ever mayor ceremony for Dawn City. Emperor Ruby has been taking care of our precious land ever since he has come to protect us. Now, he has decided that today is the day we assign a Mayor to our society!" Then everyone clapped for the announcement. Azura went to sit down and Tails walked up to the microphone.

Tails laughed, "Thank you all for your humble time. Without further ado! We're announcing the Mayor of Dawn City!" Then Ruby got up. Tails moved from the microphone and Ruby stood in front of the microphone.

"Card please," Emperor Ruby sighed. Tails nodded and gave him the envelope containing the Mayor of Dawn City.

Link asked, "What do you guys think is going to be the mayor?"

"I sure hope Luigi wins," Mario thought.

Zhongli laughed, "I'm sure it's because he's your brother, correct?

Mario laughed, "Well that and the fact that I think he would be a fantastic mayor for this city."

Agent 4 asked, "Are we staying here for some time or are we going straight back home after the ceremony?"

"I've been thinking about staying here to see Dawn City. It seems like a gorgeous place," Mario suggested. The heroes nodded. Then they were told to be quiet. The announcement came on.

Ruby announced, "As so, the mayor of Dawn city is..." Every citizen was waiting patiently for the announcement. Ruby slowly opened the envelope to reveal the Mayor.

"LUIGI!"

"YEAA WHOO!!" The heroes cheered. They seemed to be the loudest in the crowd. Everyone had turned their attention to the heroes.

Tails waved, "Hey Team Hero! Fancy meeting you guys here!" Azura also waved. Ruby was confused but he still waved at the heroes. He seemed to have some type of fizzled reaction. Then the crowd swarmed the heroes.

"Congratulations Luigi," Ruby laughed nervously.

Luigi thanked, "Thank you very much Emperor Ruby. Now if you excuse me." He went into the crowd to say hello to the heroes. Azura and Tails joined in.

King Dedede laughed, "It's alright I didn't win. Anyways I'll see you around Emperor Ruby!" Ruby nodded and stared at the crowd in disbelief.

"They... are Team Hero? I thought..." He whispered. He shook his head. Then someone came walking by. They seem to have light red hair and are wearing some type of gown.

"Who's that?" Yae Miko questioned. She moved herself away from the crowd and noticed the strange other godlike figure.

"Ruby, what has you been bothering?" The person asked. They seemed to have a women's voice.

"Jade, it's... nothing," Ruby mumbled. He left in the opposite direction.

"Looks like you're curious," Jade said while staring at Yae Miko, smirking.

Yae Miko apologized, "Sorry M'lady! I didn't mean to..."

"It's alright, my name is Jade. I'm Ruby's sister. It's good to see you. But I can't stay, I gotta get down to the southern part of Dawn City," Jade introduced. Soon she left the area. Yae Miko kept staring.

"Hm..." She mumbled. Soon the crowd disappeared from the heroes. They were all exhausted.

Azura laughed, "Look like you guys are as popular as ever. Not surprising. You guys did save the world from the system reboot. How can they complain?" The heroes nodded.

"If you excuse me..." Chrom groaned. He left for the bus.

Ayato laughed, "He doesn't do well in crowds. They make him sick."

"That's understandable. You guys can have a place to stay at the hotel if you like, we have a nice hotel in the city after all," Tails suggested.

Sonic said with a smile, "Thanks Tails. I'll go ahead and get Chrom so we can head to the hotel. We'll be staying for a bit and who knows. We might save the city from danger!"

"You never fail to have doubts, Sonic," Kirby giggled. They all headed off for the hotel and Sonic dashed off to get Chrom.
