Memories of Joy ~ Chapter 29

Back and forth yelling and enjoyment. The heroes were all having fun. The night sky was purple and it brought a strange comforting feeling toward the heroes. The moon was bright and illuminated the world of Dawn.

"Heh, maybe having fun at this hour isn't so bad... especially with all that's happened I think we need a well deserved break," Byleth laughed. Chrom elbowed him and the two giggled.

Niko sighed, "I don't understand why but a lot of times I'm always amused by the sight of people having fun." The two looked toward Niko as Shez walked over to join them.

"I'm amused by it because it brings me good memories about the times with my mercenary companions," Shez said with a smile. The heroes continued watching the skies and soon. Water was splashed on them.

Ayato groaned, "Oh great the tides are coming in and now we're getting wet." The heroes laughed and soon got up. They moved themselves away from the coastline and continued to enjoy themselves.

The night was cold and yet the heroes were still enjoying their time around. Making an enjoyable memory rather than a traumatizing one. That's the only thing they can really do, they had no choice but to force in the happy memories.

"After all this time I can't help but continue to feel worried about my family. Ugh..." Chrom groaned. Byleth slowly patted him on the back. Shez came walking over and gave the two an apple juice box.

Shez explained, "Marianne said that within the duffel bag we had we had some drinks in there. At least lots of water bottles and some juice boxes. I just wanted to hand you guys some juice." Byleth nodded and slowly grabbed the juice box while staring at it. He proceeded to grab the other one for Chrom.

Chrom replied, "Thanks for the juice Shez. To be fair I've been having a rough time relaxing." Shez sat down next to him and nodded. Chrom put the straw into the juice box and started drinking the apple juice. He quite liked the taste of it.

"I get that, you appear to be one of the few people on the team with family somewhere, and since you haven't heard of them it's hard to tell where they are. I get that 100%, I never met my parents but I get what you mean," Shez said. Chrom looked at him and smiled lightly. Soon the other two proceeded to start drinking from the juice boxes.

Marianne sighed, "To be fair, there's just so much on our shoulders it's hard to not be worried about this situation. It's gotten so bad I don't know how to feel about this. Also dealing with Kazuha has drained me a lot. Especially with how severely injured he is." The others nodded as Marianne went back to healing Kazuha.

"I got to give Marianne credit, she's been keeping up a lot and has been very successful at doing so," Byleth complimented. The others nodded as they proceeded to drink their juice. That's when suddenly the aura surrounding them was disturbed. The three were startled by the sudden change as Marianne began to panic.

"GAH! WHAT IS GOING ON!?" The heroes looked over and saw the ocean tides getting worse. They slowly got up and put away their stuff. The heroes all gathered together as Azura walked over to them in disarray.

Azura asked, "The tides aren't supposed to be doing this?! What's going on!?" The heroes watched as the water tides grew worse and bigger. Soon the wind speed proceeded to rack up. "WHAT IS GOING ON!?" Byleth looked down at his communicator to get an understanding of the situation.

Byleth explained, "Apparently something is happening within the tidal waves..." Soon they noticed Ruby and Jade jumped out a portal and landed onto the sand. "Emperor Ruby and Jade?! What's going on!?"

Jade explained, "This situation is getting worse. Worse than ever before. Magnus has managed to find a way to manipulate the oceans and use them to his advantage. We're getting into a serious deadly situation here!" The heroes took out their weapons and so did the rest of them.

"We have to calm the waves down!" Ruby ordered. The heroes nodded as Time watched the entire event unfold. She felt herself getting sick and more sick. The heroes all took out their weapons as Time looked up to the waves.

Time whispered, "No... no... oh gods this is worse than I possibly imagined this situation could get..."

"What are you talking about?" Chrom questioned slightly worried. Time didn't know how to reply to Chrom's question. She was far too afraid to answer even. It felt like nothing was coming from her mind. The heroes all stood there watching the waves get worse and worse.

Mario ordered, "ARE YOU HEROES PREPARED?! WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE WE STOP THIS FROM GETTING WORSE!" The heroes all nodded as they all raised their weapons. Azura and Tails looked at one another in worry as Emperor Ruby and Empress Jade got themselves prepared.

Time whispered, "Oh gods... how certain am I that the heroes are going to make it out of here alive... how can I tell them..." Time felt tears streaming down before she shook her head. "GET THEM HEROES!"

"LET'S DO THIS!" Chrom shouted. The heroes all nodded in agreement as they all got prepared.
