"Chrom, we have reporting news..." Alear announced as she walked over. Chrom stopped what he was doing to get a look at what Alear had. She handed him a newspaper in front of his eyes. There was the castle in flames. Alongside a figure with white hair, and a long cape. He had no idea who it was.
Chrom asked, "WHO IS THAT MAN!? WHO THE HELL ARE THEY AND WHAT DO THEY WANT?!" Chrom looked at the newspaper and was in disbelief. Someone they never met in their life was appearing now out of all times. Which had Chrom thinking about a new plan.
"What do you suppose we will do next?" Kirby questioned as he watched Chrom examine the newspaper. He noticed the person had swirls in his eyes and they had white hair due to the lighting. However, their outfit was completely different and unrecognizable.
Chrom explained, "I think Magnus is dead for sure... so this has to be someone else. I don't know who would be taking over his place. This seems so sudden, especially since we have never met them before. I think they want to keep their identity as a surprise." Chrom looked down at the paper again and got furious.
"Chrom?"
"WHY THE HELL TARGETED OUR HOME IN THE FIRST PLACE?! WHAT DID WE DO WRONG TO YOU GUYS?!" Chrom shouted in anger. He tried to calm himself down but nothing worked. He was in disbelief of everything that had happened back home. His entire work was gone due to this new villain that was hitting the streets.
Byleth asked, "You've heard of the new villain too? They have been doing nothing but nonsense all the time. They're trying to destroy the world around us... it's sickening to my stomach..."
"Already huh, they're just going down following Magnus' footsteps," Chrom explained as he looked at the newspaper. He was done being pissed off about everything. Serious business was coming downtown and he wasn't going to have any of it. "We need to prepare ourselves for this. Especially since we're going to make a change for the future of DAWN!"
Kirby cheered, "HELL YEAH! What do you suppose we will do next?"
"We start training immediately, I don't want to see anyone go downhill, TOGETHER WE SHALL TRIUMPH AGAINST THIS MADMAN WHO DECIDED TO MESS AROUND WITH US!" Chrom ordered. The heroes nodded as they got right back to work. They were getting ready for anything that was thrown at them.
Lucina asked, "Daddy, are you going to be okay?"
"I promise you Lucina, nothing wrong is going to happen to me. I love you dearly and I promise to take care of myself so I can continue to watch you grow up to a strong woman," Chrom replied while rubbing Lucina's head. She smiled widely as Chrom walked toward Byleth.
Byleth groaned, "This Magnus newcomer is trying to follow his footsteps, eh? We'll wait and see to see if that madman can come into light and show his face. Perhaps then we can destroy him and then peace will be restored. I can't tell you enough that I missed having the happy meadows." Chrom nodded in agreement as he looked at everyone.
"Everything is going in order, thank god because I was afraid that something was going to occur if we didn't. First of all we would come unprepared and second of all-"
"Relax yourself Mr. Order, we get that you want to kill this newcomer too but we need to take it easy on ourselves. Let's not overwork ourselves to pieces and we can do whatever we so desire," Byleth explained. Chrom nodded slowly as he took out his sword. It was beginning to rust up a little.
Chrom asked, "Should I start to shine my weapon so it looks brand new?" Byleth nodded as Chrom walked to a rock. He sat down on it and began to shine his sword. "This newcomer doesn't know who the heroes are, we're unstoppable forces of light and nothing will come our way. I can make sure of that, this man will know our names and will be afraid. That... monster who follows his footsteps."
Still Chrom couldn't help but feel uneasy, perhaps Magnus wasn't dead and this was him still. Dawn didn't heal at all after Magnus had "died" by being runned over by the bus. Chrom couldn't take his head out of the clouds. Continuing to think about whether or not Magnus was dead. That was so hard to understand, Magnus was hard to understand. He appeared to be an undefeatable source of humanity.
Chrom thought, "Magnus has powers I never once seen in a human being before. Is he immortal? Is he a demigod of some sorts? How did the upton family make him come to be? What's the story behind the powers he has in his hands? He could do so much yet he has no idea I have Time with me. I'm unsure how I feel..."
"Hehehe..."
"Huh?"
"HAHAHAAH!!!" Chrom looked into the forest and saw... nothing there. He looked back at his sword and began to polish it again. Then a shadowy figure appeared in the distance. Dashing left and right. Chrom couldn't take his eyes off of them.
"Hello?"
"HAHAHAHA!! YOU BEAST!!" Then the figure was gone alongside the voice. Chrom cleared his eyes to make sure but sure enough... there was nobody in front of him. Nobody was there in front of him. Not a sign of anything. Nothing at all, it was... bizarre to understand. Yet he continued shining his sword, paying close attention to everything around him.
